location is close to paddington and city buses, and restaurants. if you have a problem with stairs the entrance and dining area will cause you a problem. had a single room, comfy bed, good shower, but VERY small, lots of noise out front with ambulance sirens every 10 minutes. if you need good wifi, it's NOT here. not even 57% signal strength. in summary, if you want a good location, are nimble, and want cheap accommodation, this is ok.

Having stayed at this hotel before o booked a quad room for the family. We arrived before midday to drop our bags and they said we could have a room straight away. A basement room not too bad. Apart from the shower.. dodgy shower head. A bright flood light outside our room which at first kept me awake but after a long day we soon fell asleep. Small double bed meant me and the wife didnt sleep well. Good value rooms located 3muns from the tube. For breakfast go over the road up near paddington. T... Read more

I took a 'cheap deal' that meant staying at the basement. It said ensuite and I didn't mind a little noise or not having a view as I'm not a fussy traveler. But this is something else! I could hear people walking up and down the creaky floors from very early morning to late at night, sometimes could even hear their voices. Worse, there's a sort of house keeping room right next to the bedroom and it is accessed even till late at night. The staff don't consider that there's someone staying in the ... Read more

There isn't anything to complain about about this hotel. The rooms are clean and warm, and have great showers and water pressure too. But I cannot give this hotel more than two stars on account of the unbelievably poor wifi service. There simply is no excuse for a hotel in central London in 2016 to not have decent wifi. The staff tried to help but just shrugged, telling me their GM is well aware but unwilling to implement a working system. If you are a business traveler, if you do not have a U... Read more

We stayed here for 3 nights; 8th-11th. The hotel was really easy to find - literally a two minute was from the tube opposite Hilton. The staff were really friendly and attentive; check in was quick and our room was ready straight away. Our room was large and clean - for the two of us we had a double bed & a single, so maybe this is why the room felt larger. All the amenities you would need; small bathroom but you don't go to London to shower for an hour. Beds SO comfy - we slept very well... Read more

I thought i was going to hate this place after seeing the previous reviews but i am actually so relieved I didnt change hotels. Location of the hotel is so good, only a 5 min walk from paddington station and straight on the main road so no problems of getting lost. Room was clean, spacious and bed was comfy. The room was practically the same size of a double bedroom in a house and the bathroom was lovely as well. Plenty of room for luggage. Did not need hear too much noise from the traffic so g... Perfect location near the station, welcoming and helpful staff and a lovely room. Unsure about the reviews suggesting rooms were small and dingy, ours was a good size, large window, and plenty of storage space. Thank you for an enjoyable stay at an amazing price!

The one redeeming factor which this hotel has is its location. The rooms are tiny and claustrophobic. The building is old and needs updating. Paint on the old window in the room was peeling off the decaying wood, and windows need to be replaced. Room was noisy from sound of traffic, and not helped by single-paned glass in the window. The corridors are narrow and certainly not for anyone who is even marginally overweight, not least someone who is physically disabled. Although room was clean, wou... Read more

Stayed 4 days, photos are deceiving, the actual rooms are very much smaller than it seems in the photos, no fridge in the room, the double bed is actually one (Big Single Bed). The water was warm during the morning, not hot enough to take a shower. The Elevator is very small and can handle one person and one big per trip. The only thing good is the location of the hotel, other than this nothing. if you are forced to stay there, enjoy the location and do not expect a lot from it.
