Very friendly, very helpful staff. Very clean room in a remodeled old building. Located a short walk (about 150 m) from the Paddington underground station. On our last day, we were able to store our bags for one pound each. Everything on the minus side was minor. We had a minor plumbing problem which the staff took care of immediately and with a smile. There is no fridge in the room. The floor is not carpeted and you can see some minor water damage at the joints of the floorboards. The breakfas... Read more

Terrible hotel overall. Receptionist staff on arrival were rude and unhelpful. The accommodation was dirty, small and uncomfortable. Shower didn't work either! The wifi didn't work most of the time. And the breakfast they charged was horrible to put it mildly ! Quite simply the worst place I've stayed in years!

After looking through all the other reviews we were expecting a dreadful stay, but it wasn't as bad as other guest had experienced. We booked 3 double rooms located on the 4th floor each room was different in size and layout, some had bed side table others had dressers and ours had a double wardrobe. BATHROOM is very small but it is clean, toilet right next to the shower so just enough room to sit down. BED SPACE claustrophobic only one open side with a bedside table "no plug sockets next to ... Stayed in April 2016 for two nights, lovely stay, staff were nice and pleasant! Room was fairly compact but fine for two people, especially as we were only really sleeping in it, shower could of done with being a bit better as the pressure wasn't strong so the water was a bit weak when coming out. However I would definitely stay in this hotel and recommend it especially for the price , excellent value for money, especially considering that area of London. Nice hotel.

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights earlier in may with friends and was delighted to find this location easily just not too far away from Paddington tube station. They also have the district and circle line within vicinity. Along the way to the tube station, you can find several options for a good English breakfast at affordable prices. There were also souvenir shops along the way, which offers a variety of little gifts at cheaper prices as compared to town. The rooms are quite small, but not t... Read more

I was moved from the Prince William to the Royal Eagle Hotel due to a room having safety issues. The Royal Eagle is a older hotel, but could use some maintenance. Entering room 113, there was a strong odor of Bleach. I was not going to be in the room that night, and when I returned, the odor was less. I think I know why they use bleach, the next morning, there was a strong sewer odor in the room. Terrible. The bed was more like a roll out bed. It was OK. The breakfast ended up to be a co... I've stayed here on a number of occasions as it suits my budget on a solo business/personal trip. It is ideally situated near Paddington station where I make use of the Heathrow Express. The single rooms are small but that doesn't bother me on such trips. The continental breakfast is ok but if you need a cooked one there are several places nearby which provide excellent full breakfasts.

The hotel was one of the worst I have ever used. The rooms are extremely tiny. After keeping your luggage you hardly have any room for maneuver. The toilets were cramped. The breakfast awful. One or two friendly front office staff. Luckily I was there before space available in my preferable option nearby. Can't recommend it to anybody

Having read other people's reviews I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. You're paying for a 3* hotel in central London so don't expect it to be a 5* hotel. You need to be realistic in your expectations. The staff were lovely and welcoming. The room was very nice and clean and I particularly loved the light behind the bed as it meant I could read before I sleep. Lobby was very nice too. I will visit again when in London.

We had a family room (double bed and single bed) which was rather small. No chairs and only just enough space to move around the beds. Room was hot and the only ventilation was by opening a large window which then made it very noisy. A fan was provided but could not be left on during the night. Did not eat breakfast in the hotel as it was rather expensive. However there are several Italian places to eat within 75yards. Also they were good for an evening meal. Bedrooms were clean.

My son and I spent 9 days in this hotel. Our room was very small with not a lot of room to move around or for suitcase storage. The bathroom area was also very small but everything was clean. The location of this hotel close to the train and underground stations is a big plus for this hotel and takeaways and restaurants are also very close. I can't comment on the breakfasts as they were not part of our accommodation package. Great location, average accommodation.

I think we weren't luck that time, because we got rooms that quiet difficult to reach for us. The rooms were located far from the elevator and we had to face few stairs with our heavy luggages to bring up. The only one thing that this hotel win is it is close to the Paddington station with a reasonable price. I think this hotel near a hospital so every few minutes period you will hear the siren of the ambulance which is quiet annoying during night time to get rest.

As a solo traveller I had a single room. Very very small I have to say, but clean and in quite a good location. It was fairly close to the Paddington station which meant that tube travel was accessible. Also a short walk to local restaurants, only one was of any note where they sold Black Angus steaks. I wasn't too keen on the rest though the fair was cheaper at those. Also quite close was a shop where you could buy a sim for your phone, power plugs etc so was quite handy. Breakfast was ok but b... The hotel is in a great location, just a few minutes walk from Paddington train station. The hotel looks great on the outside, very well presented with flower beds and window boxes full with flowers. Great location a short walk from Paddington, but this has budget rooms at non budget prices. Our room was small and stuffy, much too hot and couldn't open window due to traffic noise. My main gripe other than this was the lack of power points; there were only 2 in the room and one of those was for the kettle!
