Very friendly, very helpful staff. Very clean room in a remodeled old building. Located a short walk (about 150 m) from the Paddington underground station. On our last day, we were able to store our bags for one pound each. Everything on the minus side was minor. We had a minor plumbing problem which the staff took care of immediately and with a smile. There is no fridge in the room. The floor is not carpeted and you can see some minor water damage at the joints of the floorboards. The breakfas... Read more

Terrible hotel overall. Receptionist staff on arrival were rude and unhelpful. The accommodation was dirty, small and uncomfortable. Shower didn't work either! The wifi didn't work most of the time. And the breakfast they charged was horrible to put it mildly ! Quite simply the worst place I've stayed in years!

After looking through all the other reviews we were expecting a dreadful stay, but it wasn't as bad as other guest had experienced. We booked 3 double rooms located on the 4th floor each room was different in size and layout, some had bed side table others had dressers and ours had a double wardrobe. BATHROOM is very small but it is clean, toilet right next to the shower so just enough room to sit down. BED SPACE claustrophobic only one open side with a bedside table "no plug sockets next to ... Stayed in April 2016 for two nights, lovely stay, staff were nice and pleasant! Room was fairly compact but fine for two people, especially as we were only really sleeping in it, shower could of done with being a bit better as the pressure wasn't strong so the water was a bit weak when coming out. However I would definitely stay in this hotel and recommend it especially for the price , excellent value for money, especially considering that area of London. Nice hotel.

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights earlier in may with friends and was delighted to find this location easily just not too far away from Paddington tube station. They also have the district and circle line within vicinity. Along the way to the tube station, you can find several options for a good English breakfast at affordable prices. There were also souvenir shops along the way, which offers a variety of little gifts at cheaper prices as compared to town. The rooms are quite small, but not t... Read more

I was moved from the Prince William to the Royal Eagle Hotel due to a room having safety issues. The Royal Eagle is a older hotel, but could use some maintenance. Entering room 113, there was a strong odor of Bleach. I was not going to be in the room that night, and when I returned, the odor was less. I think I know why they use bleach, the next morning, there was a strong sewer odor in the room. Terrible. The bed was more like a roll out bed. It was OK. The breakfast ended up to be a co... I've stayed here on a number of occasions as it suits my budget on a solo business/personal trip. It is ideally situated near Paddington station where I make use of the Heathrow Express. The single rooms are small but that doesn't bother me on such trips. The continental breakfast is ok but if you need a cooked one there are several places nearby which provide excellent full breakfasts.

The hotel was one of the worst I have ever used. The rooms are extremely tiny. After keeping your luggage you hardly have any room for maneuver. The toilets were cramped. The breakfast awful. One or two friendly front office staff. Luckily I was there before space available in my preferable option nearby. Can't recommend it to anybody

Having read other people's reviews I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. You're paying for a 3* hotel in central London so don't expect it to be a 5* hotel. You need to be realistic in your expectations. The staff were lovely and welcoming. The room was very nice and clean and I particularly loved the light behind the bed as it meant I could read before I sleep. Lobby was very nice too. I will visit again when in London.

Four of us stayed in two rooms as a convenient location for Paddington Station. The triple room, with three small (single?) beds did not leave much luggage space. There is a tiny TV. The room was relatively clean and the bathroom had a good rain style shower. The front desk staff were friendly and rapid with our check in and the wifi worked well, Our location meant we had to carry our luggage up a half flight of stairs past the elevator and the hallways are narrow and have doors and corners to n... We had a family room (double bed and single bed) which was rather small. No chairs and only just enough space to move around the beds. Room was hot and the only ventilation was by opening a large window which then made it very noisy. A fan was provided but could not be left on during the night. Did not eat breakfast in the hotel as it was rather expensive. However there are several Italian places to eat within 75yards. Also they were good for an evening meal. Bedrooms were clean.

I stayed in this hotel this week. Location is very good. 4 mins walk to Paddington station and around 8-10 mins walk to Lancaster Gate Tube Underground Station. Very nice exterior, interior quit good as well. Corridors are quite narrow , rooms are relatively small too but still ok. Breakfast: Continental. Very small choice. You can choose from toast , baguettes and brown bred. Orange juice, still water, coffee or tea. Cheese available but you need to pay 1 pound per piece of ham lool!! Chec... Read more

My son and I spent 9 days in this hotel. Our room was very small with not a lot of room to move around or for suitcase storage. The bathroom area was also very small but everything was clean. The location of this hotel close to the train and underground stations is a big plus for this hotel and takeaways and restaurants are also very close. I can't comment on the breakfasts as they were not part of our accommodation package. Great location, average accommodation.

I think we weren't luck that time, because we got rooms that quiet difficult to reach for us. The rooms were located far from the elevator and we had to face few stairs with our heavy luggages to bring up. The only one thing that this hotel win is it is close to the Paddington station with a reasonable price. I think this hotel near a hospital so every few minutes period you will hear the siren of the ambulance which is quiet annoying during night time to get rest.

As a solo traveller I had a single room. Very very small I have to say, but clean and in quite a good location. It was fairly close to the Paddington station which meant that tube travel was accessible. Also a short walk to local restaurants, only one was of any note where they sold Black Angus steaks. I wasn't too keen on the rest though the fair was cheaper at those. Also quite close was a shop where you could buy a sim for your phone, power plugs etc so was quite handy. Breakfast was ok but b... Just a couple of hundred metres from Paddington station means it's very handy for someone arriving on the Heathrow Express. Good location for the underground, national rail and buses, close to Hyde Park and the sights of Westminster. The room was small by Australian standards and quite basic (no fridge), but a convenient base.

Stayed one night during my transit to Toronto. Good location, near to Paddington Station, Hyde Park, Kensington Palace, Royal Albert Hall and several other tourist attractions. Did cost much at that time, maybe due to off peak season + winter. Breakfast is decent, just a normal English style breakfast. Guess... I'll come back again.

We went to a concert in Hyde Park and this hotel was very convenient. Rooms are on the small size, but all the facilities were of good quality - TV, bathroom, shower, lights and bed. We didn't have breakfast but Paddington hashas many cafés serving a variety of breakfast options.

The hotel is in a great location, just a few minutes walk from Paddington train station. The hotel looks great on the outside, very well presented with flower beds and window boxes full with flowers. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived (it was only 11:30am, so we knew that would highly unlikely) but we wanted to drop off our bags, they charge £1 to store them which I guess is responsible as they have to store a lot of bags! We then went about our day in London (BST festival at Hyde Park) a... Read more

I have stayed in around 20 to 30 Paddington hotels. I never moan about them and hate negative reviews....I know what to expect for the money I pay for a "3*" hotel in the area. There are much better ones! THIS was pretty poor and extremley basic. The pillow was like a pancake and gave me neck ache. The matress was soft and lumpy. The room was boiling, though in fairness to hey left a fan in the room. Great location a short walk from Paddington, but this has budget rooms at non budget prices. Our room was small and stuffy, much too hot and couldn't open window due to traffic noise. My main gripe other than this was the lack of power points; there were only 2 in the room and one of those was for the kettle! The beds and pillows felt low grade and were uncomfortable and the seal on the shower was broken, turning the bathroom into a paddling pool. We were charged a pound per piece of luggage to ... We're currently sitting in the tiny corridor of the hotel, and have been for 20 minutes, whilst my partner goes downstairs to reception for the 4th time in a row because the key card isn't working - down the lift we go again! When we checked in at 2pm, our rooms weren't ready despite check in time being at 2. We were told repeatedly it'll be '2 minutes'. Half an hour later we go into one of our rooms and not the other. We were then told reception would ring the other room when it was ready, by... Read more

The hotel was comfortable a place to rest your head after a busy day shopping, we weren't offered a cooked breakfast only continental the cost of which was £9.00, suggest you go to the Raffles cafe 200 yrd's up the road. Overall hotel was as I expected for the price brilliant position for central London and the tube.

The hotel is situated close 10 mins walking to Paddington underground station and 15-20 mins walk to Edgware Road . We chose this hotel as it said they had car parking as we travelled from Birmingham we know its costly to park in London .We booked 2 room for 1 double bedroom and 2 twin beds . Upon arrival at the hotel we were told that there was no car parking onsite to my wife's astonishment ( who booked the hotel ) the closest car park was 10 mins walk and cost us £80 for 3 days !!!! Appalling hotel. Tiny tiny rooms, literally could make a cup of tea from your bed. shower did not work all through visit. Staff very condescending told me to turn knob on shower to work it. Did send maintenance, but he had to come every time I wanted a shower. Finally just to add insult to injury toiletries went missing! I have stayed in this area many times but in much better hotels for a similar price.
