Even though we didn't realise, this is obviously a new hotel, where everything is quite sterile and in its place, which is no bad thing, except in the spa beside the pool, when in the evening after previous swimmers had all gone, every sun lounger still had towels and robes left on and not cleared away. A little uninviting. However, that aside, this hotel is nicely appointed and the door staff and receptionists very pleasant. Our room overlooking the O2 dome was perfectly fine and the bed was ... Now, if you want to pay £285 for a room without breakfast in this area of town, this may be your place. Located far from the city and its attractions this hotel is probably not the best choice if you want to explore London. It is good if you plan to go to the O2 as it is just 5 mins walk away. Pleasant architecture with nice and modern rooms, one cannot complain about the standard. The 18th floor bar is great with an adequate smoking area - not bad!

New contemporary hotel, good parking at an additional cost, well appointed and spacious rooms, friendly staff. We ate in the restaurant which was a pleasant experience, very easy access to the O2 and made a great event out of what would have been just a concert had we not stayed over - took all the hassle out of traveling back home and we could relax / take our time. Only downside I could find is that the breakfast is buffet style and with plenty of choice however the hot food is at best kept at... Read more

Was here for a 2 day conference so got to use most of the facilities. In approach I thought it was going to be a bit soulless - kinda typical conference venue. How wrong I was!! Great location and great service. Thoroughly enjoyed my time here - far enough out of the City to be sane but close enough to get to the action quickly. If you go here for no other reason, you have to visit the 18th floor sky bar. Fabulous selection of drinks in exquisite surroundings and the service was superb: attenti... Read more

Stopped here for a concert at the O2 and it was perfect. The hotel is fairly new and spotlessly clean, staff were really friendly and helpful and advised of a shortcut walkway straight into the Arena. The room was on 14th floor and overlooked the river and O2. We did not use the leisure facilities here or eat in the hotel so i cannot comment. The tube is a 4 min walk away also

This was a 10 day stay planned around a 2 day music festival; this hotel was chosen based upon its proximity to the venue. Aesthetically pleasing and very clean facility, as one might expect from an inn six months into its service life. First impressions can make all the difference, and my hat is off to Graham, who greeted us at the car. As others have mentioned, after check in we were treated to frosty beverages and a view from the second floor. Nice touch. The room itself was more than ser... Read more

I have stayed here several times over the past few months when needing a base in London and have experienced consistent high standards every visit. Ideally located for 02, Canary Wharf and Jubilee line is within a 5 min walk. From the moment you arrive the staff are professional and attentive in delivering a first class experience. The hotel is new and therefore the quality of everything is what you would expect from an Intercontinential - bed and sleep quality unrivalled at the current rate.

Arriving is not a pleasant experience from the tube station, an uncomfortable walk around a barren and gritty pathway takes you to the hotel, which didnt have the main entrance completed, though I think it is now. A simple airport style 10 seat shuttle bus that goes back and forth every 10 minutes has to be put in place, it would make such a difference. The inside of the hotel is very spacious and clean and the staff extremely welcoming. In fact all the staff we met over the weekend were extre... Read more

Will sum up our visit in a few short sentences... 1. Best air con in room ever, quiet and can make the room so cold that you need that thick duvet 2. Superb comfortable beds 3. Excellent lighting and control including night lights 4. Great views 5. Fantastic for access to the O2 6. Great bathroom and shower Minor gripes The coffee cups provided aren't big enough, using the coffee machine completely fills the cup so there is no room for milk. Would definitely stay again

Just a one night visit for a concert. The walk to the hotel from the tube is not well signposted and meanders somewhat. However there is in fact an almost entirely covered route thru the O2 coming out at the opposite end from the O2 entrance past the Nissan experience thing. That route is signposted from hotel lobby to venue and we only found it after we'd gone long way around in the open. Its a new hotel and guessing alot of staff not up to speed yet. New stayed here before, would definitely stay again. From the moment we arrived until we left the staff were very polite, helpful and pleasant. The hotel itself is beautiful! Reception staff were very friendly and keen to help. The room was stunning, extravagant bathroom and very comfortable bed, however there was a food wrapper left on one of the bed side tables. They did not have a gluten free menu and both of our meals were underrated, we actually chose to eat breakfast elsewhere. We treated ourselves to cocktails in the Sky Bar and whilst the views were stunning, one of the cocktails was disgusting.

The afternoon tea we booked was very good. The restaurant was new with fabulous decorations. Staff were friendly and even offered us more sandwich and tea to chose and taste. The sandwiches were unique and colourful. However, we had confusion with payment as we thought that it was at a discount because we booked it through open table. I cannot fault the hotel as I believed it was open table who wrongly advertised them.

Food was fantastic, rooms and lobby areas were great, staff were pleasant but all seemed very young and not sure what to do, however this didn't deter from the experience. Location, well if you're going to the O2 then fantastic, but anywhere else, it's a 5 mins walk to the tube and quite close to docklands and only 30 mins into central London. Would stay here again with my own money if in the area.

From the top to the bottom, the 5 star service and accommodations offered excel anything that I have ever experienced. The hotel general manager and his assistant were very approachable and took time to talk with us. The guest services were exceptional from the reception to the various restaurants, and they all went out of their way to make us feel welcome as vip guests! Don't miss out on the sunset at the Eighteen Sky Bar which offers the best view overlooking Canary Wharf, not to mention the f... Read more

This is a wonderful hotel, particularly if you are visiting the O2 as it is right outside! It is 5-10 minutes walk from the train station (North Greenwich) and 15 minutes walk form the Riverboat area. The public areas of the hotel are well maintained and there are a number of bars / restaurants. Check in was quite slow, it seemed to take ages. We were originally booked in to a twin room but the lady on reception kindly changed it to a double. We got to the room, and it was a twin! We had a drink... Read more

Amazing hotel, fantastic location, stunning views, quality room, superb breakfast. The receptionist was courteous and prompt, the view from the 13th floor was the best in London. The decor and small touches in the room were 5*. Coffee machine, water, low level bathroom lights, music in all areas. The scrambled eggs and Cumberland sausage is a must.

We have stayed here a few times.....having stayed in many top class hotels in around The World we were not expecting anything special the first time we booked. It was just a place close to the O2 when we were watching a concert. How wrong we were!! Utterly fabulous from check in to check out. Huge thanks to Krisztina Nemeth for her attention to detail. I just couldn't speak anymore highly of the care given to us. Huge thanks once again!

The staff were very helpful and attentive, the food was great. We had a fantastic time in the hotel, the room was very comfortable, the view of the river was magnificent from the 14th Floor. Shame about the fog on Sunday. the pool was very good in refreshing us after our late night. Can't wait for our next gig at the O2!!!!

We stayed up here whilst our children went to watch Justin Bieber. Felt like we were on holiday and not just the 'parent taxi drivers'. The location was superb. My husband and I had a wonderful dinner and then drinks in the bar on the top floor, looking out onto the most spectacular view. After the concert the children came back through the almost connecting corridor and we all went to our fabulous rooms for a comfy nights sleep. The stunning views were almost distracting as the changing sk... Read more

We stayed here to see Van Morrison at the O2. From the moment we arrived we received fantastic service groom all members of the staff. It was like being on holiday, with amazing views from the room, and a 2 minute walk to the concert. A special shout out to Graham the concierge who not only got us checked in very quickly, he then showed us to the O2 and the following day drove us around to the dock so we could catch the river boat back into town. Thank you Graham you are a star ???!

We would normally use our reward points to stay at the Park Lane property, but there was no space at the Inn. So we went out to Greeenwich for the first time. It was obviously an InterContinental in terms of branding, room size etc. but the usual ICH atmosphere was just not there. It was nothing to do with the location as you're right next to the O2 arena with all their food outlets and you are only 30 minutes by tube into the West End. There is an extra edge to the service you get in Park La... Read more

Stayed for concert in o2. They have walk way to back of O2 which is great, saves a long trip round outside, you feel rather special with this private entrance. Rooms are what you would expect. Proper coffee maker in rooms, although we had to get our non working one changed. Really quiet as little traffic outside. Only negative was great sky bar had chaotic service.

Stayed 4 nights as part of a work conference. At first glance the hotel is a little out of the way but is in a nice setting by the river and very new / modern and soon got used to tube into town when required. Key advantage was the service I received - specifically from the concierge. They were instrumental in tracking down some important tickets for me that had got lost in the post and as a result I attended a once in a lifetime football game that would not have been possible otherwise. Excellent location if visiting the O2. It is quiet and we had a beautiful room with a river view (following upgrade). Too lovely for words. Really very comfy huge bed. The breakfast was good and substantial and the staff very helpful. Everything was just right. So no complaints. There is a lot of construction going on in the area but we weren't affected by any of it until we were outside.

Decided to stay here for a night when visiting nearby business. Have stayed at more than 100 ICs and this quite didn't feel like one. Putting up a sign at the door won't make an IC. I was checked in at the Club lounge due to being a Royal Ambassador member. Had been assigned a river view "suite" 1702 that was missing the suite part. At best it was a corner room. Not sure if they label this room as a suite for Royal Ambassador upgrades? Had some trouble with the AC and make sure that the DND ... Read more

I am a big fan of the Intercontinental brand, courted in them, honeymooned in one, business tripped and enjoyed many weekend breaks in them... pleased to say that the 'Intercontinental - London the O2' is delightful. This is a 5* hotel, no doubt, Dave, the immaculately dressed doorman, greeted us and offered to take our bags whist Graham, the other equally immaculately dressed doorman gave my 5 year old son a high five. The receptionist was delightful and very helpful and the hotel is overall very nice BUT we didn't expect to go for dinner at 8.15, order 5 filler steaks and still be waiting at 9.50!! The hotel is located right next to the 02 and therefore no need for a late night taxi after the show. A very good standard of room, attentive staff and a great breakfast. My wife enjoyed the spa and pool and I was able to relax in the spacious room with great views of the financial district and Thames. Happy days!
