One of our favourite hotels for location and service! From arrival and throughout the whole stay it was perfect. Room upgrade offered, and concierge recommendations for dinner and entertainment were excellent as always. The rooms are beautifully decorated with one of the most comfortable beds. I stay in hotels about 40 times a year and have stayed in them all over the world. I have to say this the Intercontinental in London is possibly one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The staff are absolutely wonderful and genuinely can't do enough for you. Anyone who has read my reviews over the years knows that I am a loyal member of the IHG program because I love Intercontinental hotels. If there is an IHG where ever I travel, that is where you can find me. Thus I was very excited to be staying at 3 Intercontinental hotels while in the United Kingdom. My first stay was at the 'London Park Lane' and the whole experience was extraordinary. We stayed for one night using reward points. If I'd paid full price I would've been seriously disappointed. The check in process was quick and our room was availble early, which was good. However, the room felt like we'd travelled back in time to the 1980s! Dark wood everywhere and not in a stylish way. Bathroom was small with over bath shower which was Ok, but shower curtain was a bit grim. Only two large towels and toiletries felt very mean. Three coffee pods for two people wasn't ideal. ... The hotel is centrally located to Kensington Palace, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and Harrods, so no need to use taxi's or the underground. My wife and I stayed there for 4 nights in early September on points. I am a Spire Ambassador, so we got upgraded one level. We were also able to buy Club access (70 GBP + tax). We liked the location, and were able to walk pretty much everywhere (we only took train to Tate Modern, but walked back). It is close enough to Piccadilly, but without all the craziness. The property is more traditional and very well maintained. The room is on the small side, but this is not surprising for London (... Read more

Most of the thing is within walking distance, park, shopping area, Buckingham Palace. Metro is around 5 minutes from the hotel. If you enjoy walking around to discover, it is a good choice. The afternoon tea was really good, in particular the scone, not dry; I had had a long period of time had such a nice scone, the tea pairing was also good. The service was attentive and the staff explain to us about the details of the tea and food served. When you stayed there, it's worth to spend an aftern... Read more

We stayed here on a "reward" stay. Our room was tastefully furnished and spotless. We enjoyed the complimentary fruit and water. The bed was so comfortable with good quality linen and lots of pillows. Everything as you would expect for this class of hotel. Staff friendly and welcoming. The hotel is ideally placed for Piccadilly, St James/Green Park/Hyde Park and so much more. Take in the area around Mayfair and enjoy. Will return.

Best service ever. Always someone around asking how they can help or what do you need. Concierge fantastic at giving & getting restaurant and plays reservations. Close to everything. We walked to the Buckingham palace , natural history museum, Royal academy of arts (great David Hockey show until October) and walked the gorgeous Royal Parks. Just steps from the hotel. Try the restaurant -Best Italian food in London with Theo Randall as chef -great food. Lots of restaurants all around the hotel. ... Read more

Superb hotel with friendly staff, excellent location, and clean rooms. Stayed for one night, always find the staff friendly and willing to help, they go the extra mile. The hotel is excellent positioned, with plenty of local attractions (Green Park, Hyde Park, Piccadilly, Oxford Street, etc) all within a short walk. The Underground / Tube is only 30 seconds walk away at Hyde Park Corner (on the Piccadilly Line from Heathrow). The rooms are clean, well organised, with very comfortable beds. Bathr... Read more

The Intercontinental hotel on park lane was absolutely incredible. Such diverse, friendly, and knowledgable staff. We enjoyed breakfast every morning and everything was absolutely delicious. The breakfast team were so kind and quick to serve and accommodate any of our needs. I loved the variety at the buffet. The rooms were kept so nice and tidy every single day. Staying at this hotel made our experience in London even better! I will be staying here on my next visit to London, for sure!

This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel. I booked a discounted rate so the room was quite small, but beautiful. The lobby is gorgeous and the services is great. My favorite part is the location as you can walk pretty much anywhere. I will definitely stay again.

Stayed at the hotel on Saturday night. Lovely hotel. However I tried to buy a round of drinks from the bar but the bar tender said he could not serve two alcoholic drinks to the same person under the same bill??? Not sure what that was all about. There were 4 in the party, two were on Soft drinks and two wanted alcoholic drinks... I purchased a lager and also wanted a gin and tonic. He would not serve me the G&T. He told me to take a seat. I thought he would come over and take the order. 10 m... Read more

We went for 3 nights, and looking for a place that can be central to all the fun places. We were not planning to do sight seeing. This location is close to everything. Hotel is very nice. Concierge Michael was very helpful. and the cleaning staff was honest.

The location is excellent and the rooms are well appointed with double glazing to keep out the traffic noise. If you're an InterCon member there are complimentary drinks and snacks on top on the top floor. The amenities are first rate, as you would expect. I know this area of London well and it's my favourite of the large hotels nearby. The lobby area can be a bit frenetic.

Stayed here for 2 nights with our 2 young children, ages 6 and 3 in 2 adjoining rooms. The rooms and bathrooms are a bit on the small side. Very comfortable beds and pillows. What set this hotel apart was the incredibly helpful and warm attitude of the staff we encountered. From the doormen, reception and concierge desk, without fail, all were beyond helpful, friendly, and welcoming to us and especially the kids. Kids room service was high quality, large portions. Short walk to lots of attrac... Read more

We reader end a room using IHG points. We received an upgrade and fruit due Ambassador Spire status. We ate lunch in the restaurant right off the lobby and found the food and service to be quite good. It's a great location with easy access to subways and within walking distance to several major attractions and shopping.

We arrived by taxi and had a good experience at the door - bag taken, etc. We were then met by a lovely young woman who walked us to the check-in desk and continued to engage us in conversation. She needed to, as the three men behind the desk were all bust doing something (telephone mainly) and we did not check in for at least another five minutes (maybe longer). By this time the conversation was getting embarrassing - the young lady (Bulgarian I think she said she was), was still talking to ... Read more

This is my 3rd stay & all have been wonderful. The place is very high quality IMHO. MY 1st stay spoiled me. Using my Ambassador 2-4-1 weekend cert, I (apparently) booked a room category that the 'Ambassador' upgrade put me in the London Suite. OMG, A bi-level, huge room, excellent views of the rear of Buckingham Palace, & a multi Nozzel open shower with view of the Wellington Arch. The Lounge is superb place offering amazing breakfast buffet, evening canapés & cocktails, and views galore. My... Read more

This is my 3rd stay at this hotel and I will most likely go back when I am next down in London! I booked through using my IHG points and they have always been very quick and efficient on the receptionist desks to book us through. The rooms have always been large with an amazing view facing towards the Buckingham Palace or Hyde Park. Compliments have always been ready for us in the rooms (chocolates and lavender sleep easy gifts) which are a nice touch. Staff are very attentive and accommodati... Read more
