When choosing this hotel decide ahead what's more important during your stay: budget, and location or time spent in the room and hotel, comfort and other. If you know you're only using your room to shower and sleep this hotel might work, but if you want nice lounge, restaurant, comfortable beds and nicely equipped room look for different option. I'll start with positive. The location. Its great! Two major underground stations, the central line one called Quinesway takes you to Oxford Cr., Trafal... Read more

This hotel was decent and about what we expected. The room and en suite bathroom was extremely small. The bed was very uncomfortable and there was no thermostat in the room so we were hot all night. But the breakfast was good (eggs, cereal, pastries, juice) and it was very convenient to the Bayswater tube station. Since we didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel, it was fine for what we paid. Probably wouldn't stay here again, but would recommend it to someone looking for a cheap room with easy ... Read more

It was excellent stay for our Group from PEMUDA of Indera Makhota Pahang, Nice welcoming from members of staff. Good size for the room. Well located near groceries and good restaurant. Food at Lagenda restaurant is marvellous you feel like home cooking. Good place to gather all the friends and family. Thumb up and great appreciation to Mr Robert helping us out timelessly. Will stay again for our next trip.

My wife and I just came back from our London trip where we had the unfortunate stay at the Holiday Villa in Bayswater, London. The hotel from the outside is beautiful with the white buildings and that is the only reason why I gave it a 2 instead of a 1. The customer service was very poor and they were not at all helpful especially to someone who was not from England. We entered our room which was a sauna, it was very hot. In fact, a member of house keeping even mentioned to us once coming into t... Read more

This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed at!! The elevator only held 3 people at a time, making it awkward with luggage. It did not have 24 hour reception service. We got stuck in the elevator for 10 mins, kept pressing the bell but no one came to our assistance. Creaking floorboards in rooms which kept me awake. Restaurant staff didn't know how to smile . Only good thing was the location, close to bus and train services.

Okay, let's be honest, this hotel does not represent the "Best of British" but what it does give you is a very convenient location and affordability, a 10 minutes walk to Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park, and you can be in the centre of London comfortably within 1/2 an hour. I was looking at booking a previous hotel which I had stayed in (Park Grand Kensington) but they wanted £420 for 2 nights B&B compared to the £158 I paid at this get what you pay for; I was in London to see a... Well me and my friends only stayed there for 3 nights (on weekdays), thus my opinion is solely based on this. It has an old style look, and kind of an old style/occidental/British hospitality, which I liked. The staff was friendly and politely answered our questions regarding routes, places to eat around, etc. What can I say, the things went smooth. What I didn't like so much was the fact that during nighttime, we could hear the floors of the hallways over which people were passing (like creaky ... Read more

Please do not stay here or your trip will be a total mess. I had been to London with family and booked this hotel seeing it is centrally located but it is not it little far from main areas like market and other attractions. Rooms are too too small if you are staying with family you have barely any space to move around in the room. There is no air-conditioning in the room as our trip was in summer season it was too hot and suffocating, hotel had provided a table fan which was too noisy you ca... Read more

The staff is friendly but this doesn't compensate what this hotel offers. The room is quite small, the carpet was dusty. The sheets were clean. It's to much humidity in the room. The elevator it s a disaster. Breakfast is poor. Everyday is the same thing actually. Location is not bad but you can find better.

I would agree with most reviews on here. Great location. Reasonable price It has a lift at least Your own bathroom ( which is rare in this price range ) Boring repetitive breakfast (basics) Small, cramped, old rooms Limited facilities Staff never spoke to us over 5 days Not Fawlty Towers but close!

First of all, the overall cleanliness of the hotel is very, very good. Yes, it is shabby in places, but the staff go to great lengths to ensure that it is clean and tidy. For the excellent location, and fairly modest (by London standards) cost it is pretty good value. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating, particularly with some of our "North American" expectations. The room was very small, but the beds were comfortable. Plumbing left much to be desired - the door on the tub was co... Read more

We were two friends and with a child, had an executive twin room. Decent size for us, was cheap for London, it was clean and the staff was really nice and helpful. Breakfast was free and decent. Also free wi-fi. Cant complain about anything. Will stay here again.

Very hot and stuffy in a such a small room. Reception guy is friendly though. Only 1 pillow per twin bed. Room is very run down but maybe this is the standard for budget hotels in London. Great Malaysian restaurant and food is authentic. We have been travelling for 4 weeks via Kuala Lumpur, Dubai, Scotland, England staying in numerous hotels and this would be the least desirable. It is probably okay for a one or two nights stay.

Nothing special about this hotel at all the staff are good though and it's in a good area. The hotel is clean enough rooms are extremely cosy and hot wouldn't recommend any longer than 2 night stay we stayed for 2 and I definitely wouldn't want to spend anymore in one go! We were lucky enough that we stayed only for one night just to roam about the oxford street for our short stop over. Our twin room was clean and we only wanted to sleep in it so it was fine for us. It was good for the money we paid. It did include breakfast so no complaints even though basic, it should have had something for everyone. It looks as if ithe property is owned by Malasians who maybe don't speak great english. I think they are people who have a serious look on their face. Saying that, there was one happy chap who was one of the breakfast staff and who showed us to the lift on arrival. Not sure what ... At first glance this hotel seems nice enough, but scratch the surface and it's a miserable place. The rooms are fine size-wise, but that's the nicest thing I have to say about this place -- and I quite frequently stay in hostel dorms without complaint, so my standards are not exactly unreasonable. There was one plug and it wasn't anywhere near the bed, so leaving my phone to charge was a bother. There was no a/c and heating was a plug-in electrical unit. We opened a window and I guess that... I have seen very varied reviews of the Holiday Villa Hotel. We spent 3 nights there and I would have no qualms about returning. The location is fantastic - very convenient to central London and all the various transport links. There are numerous restaurants and shops close by and the area feels safe and secure. A good hotel that offered reasonable value for money. My room was a good size, well presented and clean. The staff I met were polite and helpful. There were some useful little touches; the lighting in the room wasn't great but there were very effective LED bedside lights. There was some scope for improvement. The showerhead in my room leaked and wasn't as effective as it might have been. Someone cleaning the shower should have spotted this. (Apart from this, the bathroom was very nice) The Cont... This hotel is a fab place to stay. The price was great considering the location. Looking at other posts, yes, it could do with a face lift but it's clean & the staff are friendly. My only suggestion would be for the breakfast, fresh fruit would be a good addition & one morning the scrambled egg looked burnt. I would definitely stay here again. The lady on the reception desk this morning (I didn't get her name), was particularly helpful & friendly. & there are multilingual staff.

Before I even got to my room I knew I was in for trouble. I couldn't connect to WIFI at reception while filling out my details on arrival.
