The location of this hotel and value for money is perfect for a London stay - whilst the hotel may be showing it's age slightly management have continually upgraded and it is in pretty good shape. Service is excellent. Location, price, and value for money will bring me back to this location - we have stayed here at least 5 times and have never been disappointed.

I have stayed in London so many times....even at the other swanky locations, but I don't check into anywhere else. Friendly staff which is key to getting over the old and warn out hotel.. Room was clean, tidy nothing broken but as many other folks have said the furniture is old and needs updating.Knowing there are more modern holiday inn`s in the surrounding area, I wouldnt want to come back, which is a real shame because of the location which is great. If I put this place on par with a premier inn, the premier would win due to it being more modern and they have invested in doing their hotels, holiday inn fo... Read more

Stayed here as it was close to clients in Mayfair and other hotels full (Chelsea flower show?) The hotel is old and in desperate need of a refurb. That's OK, but a really strange approach to running the restaurant. I'm the sort of person who prefers the restaurant to room service. Now the room service menu was quite good, so I went to the restaurant to find the menu is about a third of the length with a lot of the nicer items missing. I asked the waitress if it would be possible to order som... Read more

I stayed here last week on business. Location couldn't be better. Right in the mix of things from Nobu to the Ritz. If you need a place to lay your head that's near everything, this is the one. Room's are incredibly basic so don't go expecting an iPhone dock or USB port any time soon. Free wifi is a bonus. There was an iron in the cupboard and plenty of seating. Overall very clean and tidy.

Have stayed at this hotel many times, and never been disappointed with either room quality or level of service. Would like to thank Sarah Nezam (duty manager) and her team for the great service, especially for offering quick assistance for a temporary illness (chemists were closed!), great room allocation and friendly reception at the bar/restaurant.

This is our second stay at this hotel. Direct access to green park station from Heathrow. Close to major attractions in the city - all walking distance to Westminster, Piccadilly, Thames river, the London eye and loads of restaurants. Rooms are adequate in size and breakfast is reasonable although not extensive. Good shopping in the area. Quite expensive but similar to most inner city London hotels. Service and staff are good.

As pretty much all the reviews state... Can't beat the location with many attractions walkable. If not walk then Green Park tube right outside, plenty of buses and of course the usual taxi wherever you are. Can't fault any staff we came across, all very smiley and willing to help. The room was very clean and had everything needed considering the most you do is sleep there. Yes, the hotel is a little tired, but not half as much as I believed from the reviews. My wife and I have returned from a one week stay at the Mayfair Holiday Inn, a hotel that we have used as our London base for many years. The weather was unusually cold and damp for late May, but the hotel was warm and inviting after a day at the theatre, shopping or sightseeing. All are a short walk away. We have always recommended this hotel, but never appreciated its location more then this year.

Able to walk from Piccadilly Circus which is where we were lunching. it also meant we could walk through Green Park Saturday to see the Queen's 90th celebrations. We chose this hotel as we are IHG rewards members and it is close to the area we wanted to visit. The location was fabulous. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The rooms were comfortable but a bit tired and could do with a bit of a makeover. There were knobs fallen off drawers, dirty grouting in the bathroom and old masking tape around the windows from previous painting. But the bed was excellent.

We selected this hotel based on location and review. Location is perfect. Air conditioning worked very well. I also gave this place 4 stars based on those two aspects. Unfortunately, there were negatives that were difficult to overcome. The room had a very strong musty smell, almost overwhelming. The curtains blocked out the light well, but it felt gross touching them. The room was very old and outdated, it was difficult to look around and determine how clean things were.

We stayed here in August 2016. If you are visiting London to see the main attractions, you couldn't ask for a better location. Everything is a short walk away - have a look on google maps! The hotel and the rooms are definitely dated (the rooms look like they have original carpet and decor from 1970) but all in all this hotel is good value for money. If you are after luxury, you won't get it here so maybe try the ritz!! 1 minute walk away...
