I have stayed here before a few years ago and it didn't disappoint this time. It is only two tube stops on the Northern Line from Kings Cross station but is only 10 minutes' walk to London Zoo, Regent's Park and Primrose Hill. The markets are on your doorstep but beware that if you stay at the weekend Camden Town is very, very busy. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a room overlooking the lock and were so glad that the patio doors had great noise insulating properties because the bars acro... Read more

Only stayed for one night. All staff were pleasant at check in and this was fast. The room was very spacious with two double beds. The beds were really, really comfy! Bathroom wasn't as spotless as it could have been but was okay. We got dinner which wasn't anything exceptional but we were hungry so ate it. Very central to all the goings on in Camden.

This is definitely not a £200+ per night hotel, you are only paying for the location. not the facilities. Fair enough, we got a deal on this by booking early and that might tempt me back, but! Sadly we shared an adjoining room with what was clearly a local sex worker, and with paper thin walls the third client that turned up at 4.00am broke it for me so a serious of shouting matches and wall banging only resulted with me getting absolutely no sleep - and at £200 per night that is the least yo... I have scored this hotel one as basically we got no sleep. I do not understand why we were given an adjoining room with young males !! They arrived back at 3 am and decided to carry on their evening with their friends in the room next to ours with only a door between us. There were clearly far more than 2 in the room who eventually left to their own rooms, so why couldnt the hotel have allocated them in the adjoining rooms instead of putting a mother and daughter next door. Unfortunately to our horror the door to the balcony was broken ,with a note on the door telling us not to use , l complained but there were no more rooms ! We stopped 2 nights , they knocked £40 off the £412 bill and gave us a bottle of wine as a sorry ! Very poor as there was no windows in the room so we had to have the noisy air con on to keep cool , it is to be hoped they don't put anyone els... Read more

We had our evening meal here and again food was lovely and the kids ate free, we even received a free round of drinks. Very good service. It was a few minutes walk to the tube station where we then explored all the sights. Camden was great lots to do during the day, we walked along the lock and explored the market. An easy 5 minute walk from the Camden Town tube station, this hotel is situated right next to the Regent's Canal and Camden lock. I had a canal-side room. Room was spacious and clean with great amenities including a safe, but no mini-fridge. There was a door that you could open to get a nice view and fresh air. We stayed in the Holiday Inn in Camden Lock as part of a weekend taking our young daughter on her first trip to London. The location is excellent, right on the canal, only a few minutes walk from Camden Town tube station. We used our points to stay in the hotel, so even though the hotel wasn't gaining out of us financially the service and quality of the room was still excellent. A very good hotel; decent price, clean, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Recommend this hotel and the 'American' size rooms and two real beds in the room. Kids eat for free too. Food was very good and beer was cold! Camden Lock is a grungy and aggressive rock location... So stay here and play city center!

Located 500m away from Camden Town tube station right beside the Camden lock, the hotel is your normal HI affair. I never eat in the bar but there are lots of restaurants close by with all sorts of offerings depending on your needs. The room was clean and comfortable and meets the expected HI standard. Staff friendly, although with an early start (pretty breakfast) the night Porter, while trying to be helpful was struggling making coffee's. Got there in the end though!

We have stayed at this hotel many times, mainly when our preferred hotel is full. Location of this hotel is ok but not without its downfalls. It can become very noisy at night from the nightclub next door until the early hours and drunks up and down the corridors not to mention the hookers with clients coming and going. For the price and location this hotel is Ideal. I love Camden and it's huge market and it's right in the middle of everything. It's right on the canal and surrounded by masses of great places to eat. It's a 2 min walk from Regents Park, the Tube is a 5 min walk and it's in a safe area. I would not suggest you go out late at night in certain areas / dark alleys after 9pm. Couple of days before the check in, I rang reception and asked to see if it's possible to get the best possible room with a good view. Stayed for 1 night whilst going to a concert at the nearby Roundhouse. Hotel is in a great central location if you're wanting to experience Camden. It's situated a few minutes walk from Camden Town Underground station. Check in was easy and we were quickly in our room. We were provided with a twin double room, which was of a good size. The room was furnished to the usual Holiday Inn standard, nothing spectacular and the view outside was non existent...it was only used for sleeping though, so no ... Read more

We very recently had our wedding here in the Glass house on the Lock. Cannot rate it highly enough. The wedding room looked amazing, the food was gorgeous and the staff all did such a good job. The wedding planner was top class and all throughout the planning process made sure everything went perfectly. Had the best day of our lives.

We stayed for one brief night, everyone was super friendly and it made the hotel I must say, the room was a good size and the bed was very comfy! We didn't have the best view of the road, but our friends had a lovely lock view so would recommend asking for one of those when you book, especially if you are paying the money this hotel commands! Breakfast was also lovely, loved the make your own pancakes and it was very relaxed.

Holiday inn Camden is right by the canal & near the hustle & bustle of the market. It's got plenty of things to do surrounding it - 5 mins walk to primrose hill along the canal - great local pub called the engineer (if you want to escape Camden) wagamamas is opposite & a lloyds pub next door. At the moment of the right side the building opposite has scaffolding all around it so if you have a room that looks over that side I would recommend you check when you book as its not attractive & I am not... We had a night out in London and stayed here. The room isn't large but was comfortable, with two queen sized beds. The room was modern and well equipped and the location is perfect, right at Camden Lock. Breakfast was buffet style and plentiful. A lovely stay.

The hotel was clean and large enough. We needed room for two adults and two teens. The bathroom was smallish, but it really was fine. Clean. Shower was a tub with a bowed shower rod. Shampoo/conditioner combo and body gel. There is a hair dryer next to to the full length mirror in the living area. The beds were two full/queens. Nice, clean. The lighting in the room could have been better. TV was good flat screen with about 25 basic channels. A partial Starbucks downstars. Not a full service, ... Read more

This hotel is ideally located for a visit to Camden lock and market. The hotel itself is well presented in the communal areas, the lobby is very smart. Check in was quick and staff were friendly and polite. The room was a little more worn around the edges, especially the sink area in the bathroom. The shower was good and it was nice to see a bath, I do like the option. The bed wasn't particularly comfortable and noise from late night revellers outside led to quite a disturbed night sleep - we w... Read more

On arrival we were made to wait 40 minutes to check in, and the staff were very grumpy and not very helpful! When we eventually got to our room it was definitely not worth the money we had paid. I asked to talk to a manager about the state of the room and after a long argument she agreed an extra night and free breakfast. I accepted the gesture. The next day we had breakfast and it was awful! Really greasy and cold plus you could tell it had been sat there for hours! Again the staff were rude!! ... Read more

This is a fantastic hotel in all respects apart from probably the most important. It's got antiquated and clapped out airconditioning/heater units. They are so noisy that they wake you up in the night as they periodically start up as the temperature thresholds are reached. The infuriating part is that there isn't an on/off switch. It's constantly on. We had a dreadful nights sleep. We raised this at the check out desk the following morning. They accepted that there was a problem but shrugg... Read more

No sorry or any other way of apology. Breakfast was fair but not a good one which you will remember. I will not planing going there again.

Great location. Camden is right on the Northern line and the underground station is about 5 minutes away. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was more than big enough for our city break. This is in the heart of Camden so there is noise outside but the hotel provide earplugs in case that bothers you. I actually quite like the noise of the city! Camden Lock is also nearby where you can find all manner of different kinds of food. Perfect!

We stayed at this hotel for its proximity to the Roundhouse where we were attending a gig. On arrival we met the most bubbly receptionist (Melissa) who was very welcoming. We had a quick drink in the bar before going up to our room. This was a great area to relax in. Our first floor room had a perfect view across the lock. We quickly unpacked and went for our evening out in fabulous Camden enjoying a meal before the gig and drinks afterwards. Back in the hotel we enjoyed another drink in the bar... Read more

We were given a cannel view with French doors opening out onto it - although a little noisy at night with the surrounding bars, it added to the experience of Camden. A fabulous start to the weekend! The room was spacious and modern, housekeeping immaculate and friendly staff. I can't fault this hotel for location and comfort, we will be booking again soon.

Excellent location to go sight seeing in London. Plenty of tube stations in walking distance and bustling Camden Lock just a stroll away with good choice of bars & restauarants. The accommodation is clean but basic and the hotel could do with a good overhaul but if you just want somewhere to lay your head after a busy day sightseeing this is good value for money.

This was our third visit to this hotel, yet again as part of a shopping/gig trip in Camden. As mentioned in my previous reviews this is a great hotel in a fantastic location so i won't repeat myself (check my previous reviews). Service and cleanliness are still up to the high standards we've been used to but I think there is a new addition that wasn't previously there (unless we missed them last time!!) - USB Charging sockets on both sides of the bed - IHG if these are new then well done as t... Great location, five minutes to tube station, market on the doorstep, good sized clean room, friendly staff. The only downfall was the breakfast where I found soggy hash browns, swimming scrambled eggs and hard fried eggs. There are so many places to eat that I wouldn't bother with the overpriced hotel breakfast again.

Highly recommend Camden market but make sure you leave tube station & cross over canal before you find the real thing.Once there it's a weird & wonderful and endless warren of stalls. Holiday Inn is right alongside & in the evening jump on Northern line to see a show in town , great location.

I was fortunate to have one of the "penthouse" rooms and really enjoyed it overall. The room was spacious and had a small terrace. Furnishing was up to date and bed was very comfortable. Work desk and chair weren't so great - and I didn't like staring at a mirror in front of me while working on my laptop. but that's a minor issue. The bathroom as also nice, with a shower and large tub. Service at the front desk was not so great, but I was generally pleased with the breakfast on offer as wel... Read more

Stayed here with my son while traveling in london. Good location for seeing a hip area of London. The hotel was pricey but modern and clean. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was not included and was very expensive although had a good selection of food and good staff. Starbucks in lobby for a quick coffee fix and another close to the market. Good restaurants close by, and lots of pubs. Happening night life on Saturday nights. Felt safe walking all around the area at night.

The rooms are spacious and are provided with a desk, comfy desk chair, good size television, nice comfy bed, tea/coffee, safe, hairdryer, ironing facility and nice size bathroom. We had a one night stay here and selected this hotel as a change from central London. Camden is a small "town" with lots of lively bars and restaurants... but actually not that great on a Thursday night. The Hotel is on a canal but we had a room overlooking a small area (not even a courtyard). Very disappointing (room 330). Everyone was friendly and the bar area was good for a quiet chat at 10 pm. Breakfast was excellent £13.50 as it wasn't in our room rate and very good for a buffet style ... Read more

Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in London.
