Wanted a hotel just outside the centre and on the underground where you can get on in the peak times and get a seat. This worked out well. Staff very friendly. Didn't eat in or use the bar but looks to be the standard options. Room clean and comfortable. Wireless works ok, you can pick up 4G on mobile but not super fast. Tube station opposite and a Sainsbury's a few minutes the other way. Only gripe was that I had a quiet room on the side on first floor but could hear the tubes running, f... Read more

This was my first visit to a Holiday Inn hotel. I was left disappointed. My main concern was cleanliness. I found the following issues... Toilet paper in the toilet when we arrived The bed throw had white stains on it Stains on the carpet and chair inside our room Dirty cutlery and cups at breakfast (I was able to find clean ones though) I have no complaints about the rest of the hotel - although did find the quality of our bed and the breakfast selection to be poor in comparison to that o... A bus ride from Wimbledon Station or opposite Colliers Wood. The hotel was OK, not the best and not the worse hotel I have stayed in. As a woman travelling alone I wasn't too keen on the group of blokes in the reception/bar area when I arrived but that isn't the hotels fault. I was quickly checked in, the room was hard to find as my number wasn't on the signs but after a little walking around I found it. The key didn't work so I did need to return to reception! I was given an accessible room whi... Read more

We 'found' this Holiday Inn last year when up in London for Wimbledon and have used a few times since then because of its easy location, just over the road from Colliers Wood tube and so a quick route into most parts of town. There is also a large Saisburys and M&S just up the road for supplies and equally a few 'ok' places to eat close to the hotel. In the past we have also had an excellent breakfast and also excellent service, even when there at their busiest time, Wimbledon Tennis. This ti... Read more

I have stayed at this hotel before over five years ago and wanted to stay again, partly for a business visit in Central London and partly to see if it still maintained its good standing from my earlier review. My rate was £108 per night. Rates can vary as I have seen this hotel advertising about £80, which is good for London The hotel is situated just outside the Colliers Wood Underground Station, with a less than five minutes walk and that's only if the traffic lights are against you. Situated outside of colliers wood station . New to london and we had no problem navigating the tube. We were visiting family so we had an extended stay of 14 days. Appears to have been recently refurbished. Clean and comfortable. Good buffet breakfast. High street is a rather noisy street. Double glazed windows make it bearable. Perfect loctaion for us

Very good experience, just next to the station, free breakfast, free wifi, friendly staff. Room is super clean and very smart. Would highly recommend, very good value for money. I would suggest it's better to stay in Colliers wood than a more central but similar priced accommodation which will probably not be as nice.

Holiday Inn Express - Wimbledon South is located outside of London, but that does not matter when the nearest tube station (Colliers Wood) is located about 20 metres away. My friend and I got oyster cards, so getting from the hotel to London city centre and back was no problem.
