I stayed here in November with a friend who wasn't too keen on staying at more "authentic" hotels/b&b (typical budget hotels in London). The hotel was as expected - very clean and well kept with a friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was pretty standard, but still of good quality. The room was a decent size and of good quality - it was an ordinary hotel room, so there's not much to say in way of decor (although my friend describe it prior to booking it as giving a very Scandinavian feel wh... Bus from Luton airport stops outside hotel door- if you book in advance 2-3 pounds. Excellent transport to town centre- buses and trains within 15 minutes. The rooms are small - two suitcases take up a lot of space. Clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful and were always keen to help. if you bring food from the supermarket or Takeaway they willingly provide plates and cutlery and even let us use the microwave. Bottom line- worth staying because of excellent transport, cleanlin... Read more

This hotel is locaties very close to a tube station, hence very practical to go on trips to the city centre. The hotel rooms are small to medium size, but satisfactory for our purpose of a city trip. Our rooms were very well cleaned. The hotel staff was extremily friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was a very decent buffet style breakfast, and larger than expected given this is a low-cost hotel. I would definitely go there again with a next trip to London and would recommend it to everyone.

We were greeted with really friendly staff and a fast check in in a nice, modern reception. It's worth signing up for IHG rewards as you get unlimited free WiFi and late checkout for no extra cost to an already cheap price. The rooms were really quite cosy but nice and clean and had everyone you could need for a one night stopover (tea and coffee making facilities, TV, desk, clothes hangers, plenty of towels, hair dryer and basic toiletries in the bathroom). I just came back from a 16 day UK backpack trip. If you are a traveller who wants to rub shoulders with locals and live like locals, you don't need to shop further-this hotel is a brilliant choice. Within 5 minutes walk, you can find a tube station, restaurants, shopping malls, grocery stores, laundry and even a movie theater. The hotel offers a complimentary hot breakfast which will cost you about 15 pounds at central London. The room isn't very spacious but very clean and organized. In my expe... Read more

We stayed in room 504 which is at the back of hotel. It was quiet and good for our children. Room was very clean and beds comfortable. Breakfast excellent and tasty. Staff went out of their way to help us. Thanks for a lovely stay. Oh yes within few meters from underground Finchley road station. National express from Luton stops against a few meters from hotel.

The Hotel has been very pleasantly refurbished and the rooms are comfortable and well equipped and the free breakfast is a surprising bonus. The Hotel is not situated in the most fashionable part of London but public transport is close and very good. You could not wish for a better run hotel and all the staff excelled in their customer service. Nothing was too much of a problem and they were willing to help whatever your need. Yes the rooms on the front of the building were a bit noisy with road traffic. But the hotel is on a main road into London and nothing more than what an experienced traveller would expect. Great hotel if you are going to a concert at Wembley. Practically opposite the tube and one stop to Wembley. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. Small amount of parking to the rear (£20 per day) which is cheaper than the shopping centre across the road. Plenty of places to eat around the hotel. Hotel has a small bar in reception area. Excellent location, very friendly staff. The food was very cheap and not bad, just average. The hotel was very clean, and the room was nice and relatively spacious, especially for a small hotel. However, the mattress on the bed was very hard, so it made it very difficult to sleep. If you don't mind hard mattresses though it would be a very good choice, solid 4 star hotel.

However, unlike other locations which always allow me to do this, the lady at reception said that I had to pay £15 for the privilege!!! Proactive contact pre arrival- parking space and guided to the allocated spot- help with baggage- IHG Club benefits explained- clean room, small bed, tea making and aircon with a cleverly designed bathroom. Breakfast was more elaborate than we had imagined & with the IHG comp newspaper and late check out it fitted our plans perfectly. Main roads and a light sleeper don't provide for the best night but if you want this kind of location that is something you have to accept.

A British bargain! Located in the NW of London, it is close to the Finchley Rd. tube stop & across the street from a mall with a wide selection of chain eateries. It has clean, serviceable rooms with AC (we encountered the hottest day of the year later on in our trip after our Southampton cruise in a hotel without AC - oy!) and friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast is good. Note they don't do laundry, but a cleaners is nearby. In a beautiful area, highly recommended.

Travelled as a family for a long weekend sightseeing. This is a standard Holiday Inn hotel where everything is good. The hotel is in a brilliant location with a tube station around 200 metres away and has a cinema type complex directly opposite with lots of eateries etc. The only small downside is the breakfast area which was quite small and we had to wait a couple of times for breakfast, but not too long. We stayed one night in November. The hotel is very convenient, close to Finchley road underground and opposite a largish shopping centre with plenty of eating places like Pizza Express, Zizzi etc. We got a bed & breakfast deal at a reduced price. Breakfast was ok, not great. I wouldn't want to pay the full price for the room. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I rather resented having a £50 block put on my credit card. Travelodge don't do this, so why should Holiday Inn?

We recently spent 5 nights in this hotel, after a futile search for accomodations in central London. Here's what you can expect: extremely pleasant and helpful staff; a good breakfast with a wide range of choices included in the price; a comfortable bed in a reasonably sized, clean room; easy access by tube to central London (we went out every night and made the journey to and from the hotel quickly and easily); a choice of (mediocre) restaurants and a Sainsbury's across the street. And all o... Read more

This hotel is usual at the top of our list when it comes to staying in London. We have always felt the staff is good when it comes to customer service, with nothing too much trouble. Convenient and reasonably price with a free breakfast - what more do you want?!

I went 3 times in the Holiday Inn Express on Finchley Road and stayed each time for 3 nights. You get what you want. Nothing fancy, but comfortable and warm. The breakfast is ok, nothing special. I like it for business but would probably not go with the kids.

We had a really good deal for a 2 night family stay. Staff exceptionally helpful. Breakfast ok filled us up. Our room faced the road so was a bit noisy however because we had walked London it didn't effect our stay. Great location and superb deal. All in all good

Centrally located and nearby restaurants and shopping, not in the heart but pretty close by tube. Guess you pay for location because the room is pretty basic for the price. Room included the standard buffet breakfast (so so). The bed was not as comfy as would have expected, liked the tea/coffee service to make your own, bathroom was clean --- it had a blue nightlight which is a nice touch. Could use plugs near to bed. Only plugs at desk or close to the door. Generally room size was good. But... Read more

This is the third HIEX I've used in London, the others being Canning Town and Greenwich. All three have been good but this is the best location for sight seeing. It's within zone 2 on the underground and only 2 minutes walk from Finchley Road tube station. Jubilee or Metropolitan lines take you straight into central London. Going the other way Wembley Park is nearby too. By London prices it was very good. We booked quite early and got it for around £85 a night for two nights, including the... Read more

This is the third time I have stayed in this hotel. I have been more than satisfied each time. It is very reasonably priced, the rooms are very comfortable, the breakfasts are good, the evening meal very good value for money and the staff could not be more pleasant and helpful. A nice little touch is that earplugs are supplied to aid sleeping, as traffic on the Finchley Road seldom, if ever, ceases! The hotel is very handily located, close to the Jubilee and North London lines, as well as being ... Read more

The hotel is definately centrally located with the underground station just 5 mins away walking. But i did not enjoy the stay. The rooms and too small and the service is not upto the mark. I expected more from the brand name like holiday inn. The hotel is more of convenience than anything else.
