My husband and I stayed here on the 23rd/24th of April as I was running the London marathon . The hotel is lovely , spacious upgraded rooms and a quick check in . Our room was ready a couple of hours early which we really appreciated after travelling from Scotland . The situation is great as I was able to have a short walk to the start of the marathon and it's near the station for travelling into the city and also expo is easily reached . I found the breakfast to be good with plenty of choice an... Read more

A very nice modern, clean and comfortable hotel to stay in. The room had recently been redecorated and refurbished to a very good standard. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was very clean and tidy. free wi-fi is also available. The only downside we found was the fact the hotel charges £12.00 to park your car overnight.

Ideal for the O2, rooms clean and well laid out. Staff polite and friendly. Breakfast could change a bit.....always sausages and no bacon but otherwise ok. Stopped a few times and will stop again when visiting the O2. Great Chinese restaurant below the hotel!

Although there were extensive renovations still ongoing and some rooms are not ready, as a business traveler you do not really notice the refurbishment going on. The rooms are extremely comfortable and exude a homely feel with an inviting colour scheme. Although our company checked 2 X before arrival about the room allocation unfortunately on de day of arrival it was still not correct. Breakfast is tasty and adequate for an inclusive breakfast and the croissant were particularly nice. When exhi... Read more

Stayed here for the second time due to its close proximity to the O2. The hotel has been extensively rebufurbished and was very comfortable. The breakfast was also very good. I like this hotel and would gladly stay again although a bit of bacon wouldn't go amiss!

We booked here because my usual hotel was fully booked and we were really happy with our stay. The hotel is only a mile from the O2 Arena (about 20 minutes walk) and it is easy to find on foot with walkways well lit for walking back after a gig. The staff were very helpful on check-in. The room has recently been refurbished and looked amazing. Although our window faced the main road, the window cut out any noise from traffic and the aircon helped keep the temperature down. We stayed here as we were going to O2 for a gig. It is about a 20 minute walk to O2 along a pedestrian walkway which is well lit so safe to walk after the gig. Not battling the tube was definitely abonus. Staff were friendly on check in and any minor queries were answered quickly and efficiently. The room was newly refurbished, small but has all the usual budget hotel features. Although our room faced a dual carriageway the double glazing filters out the noise. The hotel has recently been renovated and the rooms are airy, bright and comfortable. I chose the hotel because of easy access to ExCel Convention Center; easy walk to the train as well as Emirates Air Line. The breakfast was simple but good value. The free wi-fi was a great bonus. The Greenwich area is picturesque and enjoyed visiting nearby Greenwich Park, Royal Observatory, Royal Maritime Museum and Cutty Sark. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here back in April with my six year old daughter when we went to see Adele at the O2. I loved that because of my daughter's age she was free to stay, that there was free wifi, and that breakfast was included. The Holiday Inn Express is approximately 20 minutes walk from the O2, so by the time we got back my daughter was pretty shattered! (a good thing) We had plenty of space and we loved how the toilet and shower area was sectioned off with doors (if you've stayed, you'll understan... Read more

My boyfriend called this hotel to check if there were any rooms available after we'd been to 02 arena and we were confirmed with a reservation after a seemingly confused and mumbled conversation. We got there and the Receptionist Peter was extremely rude. My boyfriend left me to check in while he went to the bathrooms, I asked the receptionist to check in to be met with "we have no rooms-we're fully booked", and walked towards the staff room. This hotel is ideally situated in Greenwich. A 10 minute walk from the O2 arena, the Emirates Skyline which takes you over to the Excel centre, the underground station, Thames barrier and so much more. A short walk to the start of the London Marathon, who could ask for more. Staff friendly and helpful. Refurbished rooms, clean and fairly quiet. Breakfast selection good.

Just a few minute walk from the 02 and slightly longer for Greenwich village, this hotel has all that you need for a brief stop over. Rooms are a good size, bathroom clean with fluffy towels and a nice big comfortable bed. Breakfast is a very relaxed help yourself affair although I would have liked more cooked variety than scrambled egg, beans and sausage. Car parking is also an extra charge. There can be a bit of a wait for the lifts. Overall I was pleased with our stay and would return.

Needed hotel near to Woolwich for business meeting. The car park is good value at £12 per day & I was able to drive easily to Woolwich. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the 02 and Emirates Skytrain and slightly longer for Greenwich village. Breakfast is set up buffet-style & is good quality produce. You need your key card to operate the lift upwards to room floors & then for the room electrics, so ensure you get at least 2! We had dinner too in the bar area, & this was nicely cooked ... Room on 3rd floor overlooking the 02 arena. Room fine. Bed very comfortable. Only down side (and reason for giving only 4 stars) was the breakfast. It was a bit of a shambles to be honest. This is a very nice hotel for a very nice price. The staff is very pleasant and very helpful. They had several close-to-the-hotel restaurant suggestions for us. Great place to stay, unfortunatley we only stayed for 1 night for my step sisters 18th. Great location, obviously London is going to expensive then where we I live which is in Mid wales (Builth Wells) but everything was brilliant. The only down side about this hotel was the food, we had a pizza between us & asked for chips with it and there was only about 12 chips. But that's not a problem because the pizza was amazing! High recommended :)

I often use this hotel when working in the city, as it allows me to park the car for a reasonable rate, whilst taking advantage of the tube from the O2, a short walk away. The rooms have been refurbished in the latest HI Express style and all are very comfortable and clean. The bar serves a simple menu, but is adequate. Breakfast is good. What really makes this hotel are the staff. You can be assured of a warm and friendly welcome and nothing is too much trouble.
