The standards of this hotel have deteriorated - this is our 3rd stay there. It is well known for catering to the Kosher traveller both for it's location (across the road from a large synagogue), its Kosher breakfast and Shabbat arrangements. However - the rooms need attention (stained carpet, shower head/ water pressure mediocre, bedding ungenerous) and the kosher breakfast is now just STALE Grodzinski rolls and cake together with supervised milk and milk products. Staff still friendly and help... Read more

Although the room size was generous the double bed was tiny and very uncomfortable as were the pillows. Both the room and bathroom (shower only) were old fashioned and in need of an upgrade although it was clean. The breakfast at first looked quite extensive but the quality and choice was poor - no fresh rolls or muesli (except a gluten free alternative) and only pre-wrapped cheese on offer. Extremely loud TV showing football was very intrusive although staff did turn it down on request. The ne... Read more

This hotel is reasonably priced and cheerful and served its purpose, which was to be near that side of London. Easy to get into the centre of London using public transport. Walking distance to local shops and eateries. The rooms were clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Kosher breakfast available, which was adequate. Would go back to stay there again.

The vast majority of comments about this hotel are good. Good staff. Clean. Passable bar. Reasonable breakfast. Good sized room (101). Down side - small car park; very thin mattress; At the end of the day it is a budget end hotel and is functional rather than plush. Would I stay again - yes. Would I rather stay at somewhere rather plusher - definitely.

I arrived late but was made to feel very welcome the moment i stepped in the door. I have to say i have never stayed in a hotel before with the most helpful and smiley faced staff well done everyone.Breakfast was okay the scrambled eggs were not brilliant but scrambled eggs are difficult to keep at the best of times., wished they had fried. Room was extremely clean, however only the statuary 5 channels on the tv.

Great location. Rooms a bit plain but they do the job. Got a great last minute deal. Free parking. Can't really complain. Could do with bath tubs in all rooms. Breakfast to go good. Even got a kosher section.

This hotel is in serious need of a refurbishment. Whilst they were in the process of having the corridor painted, our room was very shabby. Although the room was generally clean, there were several dirty stains on the carpet, one of the towels was very worn and torn and the bottom half of the shower bracket kept coming away from the wall. On arrival, after a long drive, my partner was disappointed to find that the bar had run out of beer. We did enjoy the breakfast, although we only had toast an... Read more

I come here back in February due to going to a concert at the Alexandra Palace, and this was a very convenient place to stay. Near everything you need to get to, also a bus service right outside the hotel. About a 20 minute walk to the main tube station or you can just bus it. The customer service was amazing, very thorough with security details and checks. Room was very clean and tidy, I did my normal inspections and everything was above standard. Beds was very comfy and breakfast in the morn... Read more

The staff are great, they welcome us offered us to join their membership which was excellent because we got to have lay in after returning late back late from the concert. My husband and I stayed at this hotel for six nights. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. A great place for Orthodox Jews since it is near synogogues, kosher eateries, and stores. The hotel also provides special items fo rthe Sabbath like a metal key rather than a keycard and a "shabbos" light. The rooms were ok, although there was not enough storage room - no closet, just shelves and a hanging bar. It is also located near busses, and not far from subway stations. And not too expensiv... The hotel itself was clean and the staff very helpful. The only two issues were the distance from the tube, we ended up getting a taxi to and from the tube as the walk was more than the 20 mins stated on the website. The bus stop is right outside but long journeys and not as direct as the tubes. Secondly, breakfast although tasty, seating was at a premium and definitely not enough off. Frustration from fellow guests waiting wasn't great for a chilled start to the day.

We paid £104 for our room. When we got in on a late check-in, we noticed a strong smell of urine. There was two big stains feeling wet on the carpet. We immediately complained to reception who came up and said the hotel was fully booked so we couldn't have another room, so they gave us a febreeze bottle and let us sleep with that horrid smell! In the morning we went to the reception to complain and check-out. In the 30minutes it took them to deal with our complain, we saw 2 other people complai... Read more

We stayed at this hotel last minute. The staff in the evening were very helpful and were able to find us a room. However, we woke up the next morning to find bed bugs in the bedroom and bathroom. After calling the manager of the hotel she first tried to blame it on us, saying that we may have bought them with us, she eventually gave us a refund (although that is yet to appear in the account). We have had to wash and spray all of our clothes and suitcases.

On arrival, check in good, rooms as expected, clean and basic but all in all great value for money. I was in London for a very short stay (two nights) for a family wedding. The hotel was very comfortable and provided a more than adequate breakfast - and a kosher option is available for religious Jewish travelers. it is close to major traffic arteries and very convenient for public transport. If you need to be in NW London for a few days, this hotel is ideal for you.

Can't fault the staff one bit, they were dealing with an extremely stroppy delivery guy when we arrived but still attended to us professionally and adequately, the room was a total let down, when we checked in all we saw was the very stained carpet but decided not to make a fuss as it was only for one night, I spotted what I thought was a caterpillar on the toilet door and damn near had a heart attack, on further inspection I realised it was a false eyelash (not mine) we went out for the evening... We stayed as a family of 4 with young children for 2 nights to visit friends and family around London. I wasn't keen on driving around the city so we chose this hotel due to its ease of access to the M1 (travelled from the midlands) and good transport links. The staff here are friendly and very efficient. The food is ok, the decor excellent. But if you put a hotel right at one of the most busy highway interchanges in London, you need to make sure the noise is managed properly. I have stayed at other hotels on the North Circular or similarly busy roads in London and enjoyed a good night's sleep. But my stay at this hotel was close to sleepless - even in a room at the back of the hotel, with the window closed the traffic noise was unacceptable. Als... Read more

I stayed here twice in September. The return visit was because I was so pleased with my first stay. You get a decent breakfast in the rate and free car parking. Restaurant was basic, only a small menu but food was good. Access to public transport for London was good with bus stop just outside. Top tip the accommodation changes by day so you need to quickly determine if it's worth it.

I stayed in this hotel last week, I booked 4 rooms, one for me and the other 3 for customers. The rooms are ok, a bit dated and needs a refurb but the worst thing was 2 of us received really bad bed bug bites. Very, very painful and a nightmare if you take them home. The most disappointing thing is the hotels reaction who has denied having them and won't do anything about it. If you decide to stay proceed with caution!

Stepping into the room it became obvious it was from the same interior design scheme and same size room as the HIE Paris I stayed in a few weeks ago which I rated as the best HIE I've been to. However unfortunately on closer inspections it could not live up to the same standards. Generally though there was nothing that was bad, just a lot of areas in which the hotel was average but no more. Hotel is fairly small and consequently facilities aren't lavish; dinner menu is limited but I suppose for its size, you're lucky you can get in house. For what you pay, you get free breakfast, your room and free parking which is not too bad but don't expect it to be fancy. The negatives: Firstly the bed was terribly uncomfortable leaving me with aching bones everyday. The bed would squeak and every time I turned id wake in the night. I had to use the duvet on the mattress to try to prevent the springs from poking my ribs. The shower would go from hot to cold constantly which was strange.
