We arrived at the hotel at midnight two people were angry complaining to staff when we were at the desk took a long time to check in . When we got into the room ( the four of us ) it was one double bed and one sofa bed. To sleep on the sofa bed you had to lift out the heavy mattress and no bedsheet , duvet or pillow was provided and asked . Breakfast was good with big choice. In the morning we found out that the A/C had been leaking. Terrible stay not going back to this hotel.

We stayed a goth here before the start of a big cycle event and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. From the quick responses to emails enquiringly about an early breakfast (no problem at 5.30am) to the smiling, courteous service (and even allowing us to order some of our evening meals after the 9.30 cut off time), we couldn't fault it. I was even able to leave my car for 2 days whilst completing the event. The rooms are relatively basic but comfortable and well appointed enough for one ni... Read more

...almost £70 for a pretty yuk hotel is a fairly disgraceful price and nothing short of profiteering by a major chain. Firstly, check in took ages...this was mainly due to the fact that some dodgy foreigner was seemingly trying to get a room, either by paying the next day (rather than upfront) or for less than the room tariff...either way it wasn't a pleasant start, and she wasn't the only undesirable person I saw during my stay there...not sure if this hotel is a local refugee lodge or simila... Hotel is the standard HI, staff are very good and friendly. Wi-Fi is free but sometimes doesn't work as the hotel allows people to conduct their business in the restaurant which reduces the bandwidth speed. The hotel needs to remove these people as they take up space and treat it as if they own it. Food is ok, but if you have the burger cut it in half to see if it's cooked properly as most of the time it was raw in the middle.

Very well located Holiday Inn Express next to a large Sainsburys and main trunk routes. I initially balked at ever booking here due to the E4 postcode being too far out however crossing over the roadbridge places you in E17, so I'd long missed out on this place. The hotel has good sized rooms in keeping with other Holiday Inn Expresses, good food selection with friendly staff and a huge Sainsburys on the doorstop in case you need anything. The main road can cause a little noise in your room so ... Read more

Stayed for one night only on a Friday in May. Staff were warm and friendly trying hard to please. Breakfast was really busy even at 8 am on Saturday morning. The limited range quickly disappeared and replenishment was not as quick as it should have been which probably contributed to the delays and over crowding.

This is one of the best Holiday Inns. Staff always make you welcome, especially Manuel and Alexandra! Thank you. Room always clean, I always sleep well. Breakfast is always excellent and what is also good and NOT on the website is that they have an excellent restaurant which serves from 6.30-9.30pm I had a superb beef and ale pie and my partner had a chicken Kiev with salad and peas! The Merlot was superb and this HI is one of the only places that knows how to serve wine at the correct temperatu... Read more

Stayed for one night while working in Forest Gate. Great hotel with friendly staff, was a late arrival for me so just somewhere to crash for the night really. Rooms very clean and a nice comfortable lounge area to relax and unwind before bed. Breakfast as always not quite full blown HI standard but perfectly adequate none the less. Very conveniently located near the North Circular too which was a bonus. Plenty of parking available at this hotel which I find is sometimes lacking at other HI Expre... Read more

Usual basic stay Busy motorway Sainsbury's next door & petrol station just outside Staff polite Welcomed as IHG gold member Beds aren't as comfortable as premier inn, but it's an express so no complaints.. Breakfast terrible Scrambled eggs are always terribly done, can't stomach it. No vegetarian hot buffet option, apart from beans... Usual breakfast now consists of grapefruit pieces, and fruit & nut cereal or croissants and yoghurt :(

This hotel is a good example why it's right to keep using the same brand! A perfect example of a Holiday Inn Express. Alexandra on reception was fantastic.... she was lucky enough (!) to check me in and serve me at the bar and she was great. Location is brilliant, right next to a Sainsburys which was good for me! Breakfast was very well done - sometimes a little lacking in other HIE's. Parking was plentiful. I'd definitely use this hotel again.

This hotel was sufficient for an overnight business trip. The staff were friendly and the rooms comfortable. The bar was well stocked and the menu looked good. Parking was free as long as you recorded your registration number in the reception computer. If you want to get out Walthamstow is a short bus journey away with a bus stop near to the hotel but you'll need an Oyster card or a contactless card for payment.

Location for short break to see family and sights. Free parking, good breakfast, comfortable beds in a large airy room. Very helpful and friendly staff - nothing is too much trouble. The only thing missing was a couple of biscuits alongside the tea/coffee tray in the room. Best get a room facing Sainsbury car park, as away from the North Circular road and avoid being near the lift though as in use 24 hrs.

A reasonable HIE but would benefit from refurbishment. The rooms are a little tired in all areas and needs modernised. Only stayed once at this hotel but paying £100+ I expect more. Not much around the hotel so unless you have to stay here I'd suggest looking elsewhere

The rooms at every good .Clean ,comfortable and quality linen .Excellent Wi Fi and tea making facilities. The only downside for me is the Holiday Inn breakfast . I know it's free but it does not compare with that at similar hotel chains. Fresh fruit ,natural yoghurt , good bread ,bacon and so on .All missing..I would rather be given th... Read more

We stayed here for a night in late July 2016. Parking: The parking is free for guests and facilitated by typing your car??s registration number into a display panel on the front desk. Staff: The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Room: The room was on the ground floor facing the car park and fairly standard for a HIE hotel. One slight different from the HIEs I??ve stayed in before was a wall-mounted air conditioning unit on the bathroom wall at high level over one of the beds. ... Read more

First of all we were made very welcome by the staff at this Holiday Inn. The service was exceptionally good. Otherwise it is as you would expect from a good budget hotel of this brand. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean but you must expect to provide your toiletries. The restaurant is a pleasant area just off reception and breakfast was fine. The croissants especially were better than the average. For me, I find that the hot water for tea which is dispensed from the same nozzle as ... Read more

We stayed here for a family visit and have used the hotel a couple of times now for this. We had elderly parents with us and the staff were so helpful, particularly at breakfast. Rooms are comfortable, it's a very busy road so you're better being higher up. Walthamstow Central is only a short bus ride away for getting into London. If you're looking for a bit of green space, Lloyd Park is near the hotel and lovely for a walk.

It's not going to win any awards but the rooms are clean, the staff are very polite and helpful and it's a stones throw from various pubs/restaurants and 2 supermarkets. The bar is a bit pricey but it's a hotel chain in London so I'd expect that. My only criticism would be the food, the quality is fine (the curry I had was quite good) but there isn't a great deal of choice and the portions are a tad on the small side. I'd recommend heading into Walthamstow for dinner.

We had a family room - double bed and sofa bed. The room was very clean and had plenty of towels for us all plus an ironing board already in the room - quite often with budget hotels you have to request one if needed. There was noise from the road but not as bad as I'd anticipated - if you book a hotel that's right on the north circular, you can't expect to get a silent night. My 15 year old daughter found the sofa bed really uncomfortable but I'd expect younger children might not notice so much... Read more

It is an average hotel. They have a very dull breakfast. Our room was connected to next room through a door which was a bit annoying. Hotel staff at reception were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and spacious. There could have been a small armchair. It is ok for couple of days stay.

After three progressively worse nights in different Holiday Inn Expresses over the last week I was fast losing faith in the brand, but a night here has reminded me that there are some jewels amongst them too. Friendly staff, ample free parking and decent dinner menu available. Room was standard HIX offering.

I am currently staying here at this holiday inn express and have to say it's actually well located and has plenty of free parking which is always a bonus. The room is a typical holiday in express room you have all the bits that you need. I'm not too keen on interconnecting rooms though. It's nice and clean and cosy, the bed is pretty standard albeit a bit hard. TV is a good size too. Stayed a total of 5 nights at this Hotel. Easy to access just of the North Circular. Easy parking and a Sainsbury supermarket across the carpark. The hotel was very clean and staff were friendly. The room was also very clean, quiet and not too small. The double bed was a bit small for us - a King would be better. Breakfast was adequate (Hot items were sausage, scrambled egg and baked beans). The Hotel was good value for money and we would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for 2 nights this week as part of a Thomas Cook package for the Tottenham match at Wembley. Quite dubious about staying here initially as Walthamstow would not be a place we would consider, so we were pleasantly surprised by the experience. The hotel was very comfortable. Very clean.Great beds, good sized rooms. Tea and coffee making facilities in room. Good shower, shower gel provided. The free breakfast was fine. A good if basic choice. Lovely warm croissants. Bar open until after midnight. Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel has a car park which it shares with a huge Sainsburys. The only downside is the distance from the tube station. We got a taxi to Walthamstow village which cost £6.50.

Three night stay with a colleague as a base for work, this hotel came in well under budget but had rooms with reasonable sized beds (2x single), a decent shower/WC room ensuite, with a good amount of temperature & pressure, and proper sized towels.
