We were a family group of ten for breakfast and we were all very impressed with every aspect but I what I want to comment on was the exceptional maître d'. From the moment we arrived at the restaurant and he greeted us until we left, he could not have done more to make our meal extraordinary. Sensational service, thank you. We will definitely return.

Stayed in a king room and it was very nice, clean and the bed was very comfortable, however the price for the night I stayed (a Saturday) was very expensive. I know it is a Hilton but the price was definitely excessive for what you actually get for that money. I would say the room was excellent and could not fault it !

Very impressed with how good this hotel was. For London good sized room and large bathroom. Our room was nice and quiet, no view but that didn't bother us. Bathrooms have a big walk in shower and plenty of bench space. Comfortable king bed and lovely pillows. When the air conditioning was not working we were promptly moved and given wine and chocolates as an apology. This was very much appreciated. We celebrated a special wedding anniversary and were delighted to be offered a complimentary upgrade! On top of this we received a complimentary bottle of bubbly and red roses together with a card which had been personally signed by the staff. This was a lovely touch and very much appreciated by my husband and I. The staff were friendly and efficient and went out of their way to make the occasion extra special! Thank you Hilton and special thanks to Petra Cappannari!

Stayed twice recently to attend different events in Islington (design centre) and elsewhere and it was an ideal location. Excellent service - improved since Jury's Inn days. Restaurant recently changed hands to a Marco Pierre White venue - food previously disappointing but unimpressed with change. The bar area was quiet and relaxed. The waiter was polite and friendly. Exactly as I would expect. Afternoon tea was only £19 and this was reflected in the quality of the sandwiches and cakes. Nice but not the best. It is a minor point but the egg Sandwich is advertised to be served in a brioche roll. It came on plain white bread. The sandwiches were very ordinary. It does not take much to make it just a bit special. Online afternoon tea is advertised with bubbly for £23. It was only after I l... Read more

I wanted to pay in pounds in cash on my arrival but they declined my request at the check-in eventhough i had requested to pay in cash. i had to pay with my credit card and using foreign currency when i had declared that my credit card was just to ensure the room. In addition i had to pay 50 pounds deposit like if they have gold in the room. Never paid a deposit in 4 or 5 star hotel in my life. This hotel is very well located in Islington. The lobby is bright, light and attractive and our room clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Breakfast was particularly good. My only criticism would be that the staff need to learn how to make a good English cuppa! One teabag in a large pot for two doesn't work and the cost of this in the lobby was very overpriced. We stayed for ten days and found the hotel perfect in every aspect of our stay. It is ideally located - close to Angel underground, lots of bus routes, great choice of restaurants close by (including good quality meals at the hotel restaurant), shopping centre with cinema nearby, a lovely park area at Islington Green, the canal towpath not far away and it is tucked away from the main street with a large open space at the front. Beautiful room, really comfortable but when I checked the mini bar it had a box of half eaten cakes and half drunk bottle of water! Made me doubt the cleanliness of the room to be honest but everything else was fine other than the really bad repair job on the bathroom floor tiles! Not happy with the £5 charge on top of the room service prices! Surely that's included in the cost?!? Also took ages to deliver.

If we visit London again, will definitely stay here. Lots of good restaurants and pubs nearby. About 1.5 blocks away from Angel station for Northern Line and close to kings Cross/St. Pancras. We stayed in an "interior" facing room wth no views of the street but this meant it was very quiet despite being near Upper Street. A/C was nice and quiet.

Stayed here for a few nights this week. The hotel itself is well located within Angel and has good access to Kings Cross if needed. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable but doesn't have much character. Both the shares spaces and lounges just fee very clinical with white spaces, glass tables and mirrors. They need to soften the look slightly. There isn't a gym which is unusual for Hilton but one is apparently approved for the 3rd floor so this should be coming soon. The bed was average... Read more

Quite business like in manner, as you would expect, based near Angel tube and adjacent to the Design Centre, this Hilton offers professional service and comfortable rooms at a reasonable price. Car parking on site is reasonable for London and secure which makes all the difference! Staff are friendly and efficient and facilities are what you would expect for a corporate style hotel. Location on Upper Street is excellent for links to the City and Holborn as well as Islington itself and Shoreditch/... Read more

The location was great! It is right by the Angel Station, which goes strait to King's Cross. It was not noisy and the room was nice. However, they tried charging us 20 pounds for a 15 minute phone call. When we took down the sign by the phone that says "Free 60 minutes on the phone" to the front desk, Elisa (spelling?) rolled her eyes at us, snatched the sign away, and took it off. She was condescending to us. The staff were horrendous and they were never willing to help or smile with anything. ... Read more

This hotel has been recently renovated and the rooms are off a good standard with comfy beds. The air conditioning was very welcome as it was a warm day and the shower was really good. The one minor negative was the lack of a good fried egg at breakfast. As usual it is buffet style and there were plenty of eggs ready but they had obviously sat for some time as I picked two of the ones which looked softest but the yolks were solid. We enjoyed a two night stop in August . On arrival we were upgraded and the staff were friendly and helpful. All the amenities we used were clean and and easily located. Upper Street is right outside the front door which offers a wide range of eateries and bars if you require something the hotel doesn't cater for so it's a win win location. My mark down came from the rainfall shower but that's just me being picky as there was nothing wrong with it. Keep up the great work guys,be back soon I hope

We stayed here 2 nights as we were attending a wedding in the area, it was also coming up to our wedding anniversary and so we thought we would chose somewhere special. My husband had emailed ahead and on arrival we had been allocated a beautiful room with a stunning view of the London skyline on the 4th floor. room 418. I spent my last few nights at Hilton Angel to complete my trip to London. The staffs were very helpful and friendly, room was clean and spacious. Nothing bad to say about this hotel, typical Hilton hospitality you can expect and count on. Will stay again next time in London.

We arrived on Friday afternoon. The walk from the tube station is pleasant enough along the high street. The hotel staff were very friendly and efficient. I am lucky to stay at Hilton hotels regularly and this one ranks amongst the best of them in London. Great service, handy secure carpark, clean and well maintained. Food was very good and the breakfasts were up to Hilton standards. Well done to all .... no complaints from this traveller!

Apart of the staff that was very helpfull the hotel don't correspond to the price range. Breakfast wasn't included as well. Localtion was good with Metro on the corner and some good restaurants. Gym wasnt ready and was offered one ten minutes away, but you had to pay for it

Nice modern hotel in a prime location in the heart of Islington. Great access to concert venues like the O2 (2 minute walk), Union Chapel (10 minute walk) and numerous bars and restaurants. It really is our favourite part of London for the general vibe and things to do. This Hilton serves well as a fab base to explore from the Angel tube 5 minutes walk up the road. Clean modern rooms, free wifi, TV is a bit weird to operate but hey-ho, breakfast was nice enough, nice service and good choice.... Read more
