Only a one night stay but had to change rooms as the electrics in the first room were faulty. Left my iphone charger in the first room but housekeeping were unable to find it the next morning (the room hadn't been occupied) so that was annoying. Breakfast was quite tasty and fresh. Handy for the DLR - 2 minutes walk away - and parking was easy.

Booked a 'Standard Room' on the IHG website that included a picture of a Room with a Double Bed. On arrival I was allocated a Twin room with two singles. On complaining I was told 'an upgrade wasn't available'. Having reviewed the IHG website and my booking there is no reference to a Standard Room being one with single beds in it. To be fair, the lady who checked me in did eventually give me a room with a standard double-but only after I asked to see the manager (who never did appear). Either w... Read more

Nothing overly special about this hotel. Friendly staff and comfortable beds were the highlight. It's a little way out of the City but the price reflects that. Canning Town tube station is a stones throw and the Jubilee Line means you're well connected to the rest of London from here.

The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean - if a bit dated -, breakfast was OK and it was in a good location for the O2 and Chrystal. There isn't much around the hotel for dinner/drinks choices although there is an Italian restaurant and nearby shop just around the corner. I'd recommend taking earplugs as it is on a main road with a lot of airplane traffic.

Stayed here for the ACDC concert at Olympic Stadium due to close proximity to the DLR and was very disappointed given the price. The carpet in the room was filthy, with some very nasty looking stains and the chairs were equally as stained. Ended up sitting on the bed as it was the cleanest object in the room, keeping feet well off the floor! Only positive was the bathroom was clean. Breakfast was interesting, the management obviously hadn't considered that the majority of people would be arrivin... Read more

Stayed here for one night before a conference at the ExCel. The nearest Tube station is a short, straightforward walk away and offers easy connections to the ExCel and central London. It's exactly what you'd expect from a Holiday Inn Express - basic, clean rooms.

Breakfast was very disappointing , very much a do it youself affair , but at 8.45am there was very little left except the odd yoghurt , most of the cooked breakfast had gone and no sign of anyone refilling .

Booked purely for access to O2. The tube is only up the toad but apparently it's a changeover to get to O2. We cabbed it instead. £20 there £25 back....bit pricey but companion can't walk too far so easy option for us. The hotel was clean. The staff were amicable. Nice comfy bed. Air con. Breakfast was ok. Cheap sausages and powdered eggs. I have stayed at hotels in London before for cheaper then this and better breakfast. Won't return but did the job for concert.

This particular hotel just seems to get things right every time. A fine example of the HIE brand. Just a few minutes walk from canning town station, some restaurants nearby if wanted and take-away menus available from the reception if wanted. Check in was welcoming and efficient. Very nice staff. Quiet, functional, clean rooms. Self-service breakfast was very nice. Close to transport links. I would stay again and recommend to others. Italian restaurant next door was an added bonus.

I need a hotel close to the O2 and this met my needs. Very close to transport links, - Canning Town Underground, The Emirates Cable Car. Free breakfast is included but I had to leave early so missed this.
