The good: it is super quiet. The bad: rooms are ridicously small. Not enough to open a big suit case. Bathroom even smaller with not even a hook or rack to hang a towell. Internet is intermittent.... staff are incompetents... raise any issue, answer is 'there is nothing we can do about it'.... be aware there is no excecutive lounge either. Service in the bar restaurant is terrible and food is so so. Breakfast is ok but croissant, pain au chocolat, pain aux raisin etc should be fresher. Great ... Read more

Rooms are very-very small (although they are good equipped). I was staying alone and I belive it's not enough place for two. But it is a good choice. Nice and cosy rooms. Good buffet breakfast. Fast wi-fi. Friendly staff. The location was good for me. Underground in 5 minutes walk.

The hotel itself is nice and in a great location! Some of the wait staff in the cafe, however, were not very welcoming to me in particular. Should not have to wait 10-15 minutes for a cup of coffee when the other two tables with guests are being waited on and you're being ignored. Doesn't take long to pour a cup of coffee :-) All paying guests should be treated equally.

Last week my son and I stayed at the DoubleTree Hilton - London Hyde Park for 8 nights. I found the front office staff to be extremely friendly and helpful, and throughout our stay very generous with the cookies upon request. I booked a standard guest room, and checked-off the upgrade options. No upgrade rooms were available when I checked in. The room was rather tiny but it was fine for just a place to sleep while sightseeing. OK for one person or a couple. Not sure if it was due to being sleep-deprived or just a comfortable bed but I had one of the best nights sleep ever. The room had a safe tucked away in the built-in desk. Like the rest of the room the bathroom was small. No door on the shower so need to put a to... Read more

We chose this hotel for its location and price among many Hilton hotels in London. We were totally pleased with the room, service, Honors breakfast and especially the helpfulness of the staff. Sunny was exceptional in his friendliness and recommendations for even the simplest of questions. The location was wonderful, across from Kensington Gardens and near Notting Hill. The underground was a block away and hop on/ hop off buses around the corner. Would return here in a heartbeat.

However, the room was much smaller than expected for a king bed, and the open door shower was completely inpractical. The hotel bar was not what we expected, and the atmosphere did not live up to it... Read more

The Doubletree by Hilton is their "second division" range. It is still a high quality service. The buffet breakfasts were good, but we found it better to order a freshly cooked omelette. Our room was particularly good, especially the king size bed. The Bayswater Road property is in an excellent location between the Notting Hill Gate & Queensway tube stations, making it easy to get around anywhere in central London. We had a little issue with sorting the bill which was professionally sorted ... Read more

I stayed at the Doubletree by Hilton London - Hyde Park using Hilton points for a week. The hotel and location were excellent. I had a King Deluxe room on the top floor with a view of Hyde Park and the Kensington Palace barracks, and I could see Westminster from my window at an angle in the distance (London Eye, the Shard, the Elizabeth Tower aka Big Ben) which allowed me to get some very nice photos. The hotel was spotlessly clean. I had a well-appointed bathroom with fluffy towels, a comfortab... Read more

We have stayed here before and we were not disappointed again. The rooms were clean and well equipped. The in room coffee was great. The breakfast was very good. The area is amazing....being within a block of Hyde Park. The only disappointing thing that we found was that we had to clear out of the outside patio restaurant by 9:30. When asked why, we were told because there were complaints about noise. There were only a few couples sitting there and none of us were making any noise.....ther... Read more

Picked this hotel due to its location - it is not far on the bus to marble arch/oxford circus. The rooms were great, so comfortable and spacious. We had a drink on the terrace outside and that was nice. The whole experience was value for money and I would want to return!

This is an excellently located hotel in close proximity to Central London, with well appointed and comfortable accommodation, friendly and courteous staff who excel in helpfulness and pride in their work. I cannot commend them or this hotel too highly.

The moment I stepped in we faced bad experience with the receptionist who was extremely rude n I felt she was racist. Well we are Asian couple travelling n booked our hotel with hotels.com.. N she couldn't find our booking n the way she spoke to us was extremely rude. Then we entered the room n the carpet was wet! We asked for a change which was given immediately. Now the room is extremely small. The bed was small but was sufficient for both of us. Breakfast was average. Location was aver... Read more

This hotel sits right on Hyde park and its entrance is on a side street, not Bayswater Road. The reception staff are friendly and efficient and the hotel well kept. Rooms are on the smallish side, with newer batrooms and a Nespresso coffee machine. Those facing Bayswater road will get some noise from traffic, ambulances etc. Breakfast is abundant, in the cafe facing Bayswater road, and includes more drinks than just coffee (capuccino, latte), but you have ask for them. I found this hotel to be quite pleasant. The staff was very professional, the room was clean and well appointed and it has restaurant attached to it. Note: it does not have an executive lounge. Additionally, it is very well situated in a very nice part of London. There are 2 Central Line Tube stations about equa-distance from the hotel: Notting Hill Gate and Queensway. They are a five minute walk in opposite directions from the hotel. I preferred Notting Hill Gate station because Queensway for... Read more

2 nights in London for a theatre trip & shopping etc. The hotel sits outside the city with views across the north west of Hyde Park but only 3 minutes walk away from Queensway Tube station on the central line. Reception is light & airy and the staff here tended to be very formal in both dress and manner. They had a bellhop/ concierge service and 3 receptionists who dealt with everything in a first class manner as would befit a high end business hotel. The room was on floor 3 and had a king sized... Spent three nights here and most of it was to my satisfaction. Room very clean and beds comfortable. The location is peaceful yet so close to the action and easy access with public transportations. Friendly staff but a bit distractful. After asking for newspaper and water that you get as a Hilton member three times I gave up. But that just minor flaws as long as you get a good nights sleep. Breakfast plentiful in a quite busy restaurant. Would stay here again

Had a great stay here. Location between two tube stations and bus stop a block away. Directly across from Hyde Park with nice walk to Kensington palace and the museum area. Breakfast was included with the room rate we had, a nice buffet. Would recommend this hotel for a nice base for seeing all of London.

Stayed three couples for three nights. The room for the one couple was in street level! We asked for room change and they changed it easily. The beds and pillows were OK. Room decoration was good but there were no slippers. WiFi was slow. Breakfast was good. The hotel was not crowded. Elevators were fast. Location very good, minutes away from Oxford street stores and Westfield shopping center. A bit overpriced hotel.

The hotel was at first observation clean, modern, and inviting. The service we received was excellent to say the least. Each staff member was receptive to our every needs. They were friendly and helpful with all that we asked including where to eat, directions around London, and room service. The room was on the smaller size but was comparable to other European rooms that we have stayed in. With that said, it was comfortable and well appointed. The hotel is clean and tidy. The rooms are pleasant. The rooms are not large, but if one is a tourist or on business, or, like us, visiting family, they are perfectly adequate. We did not hear the traffic outside from the room. The staff are well trained and caring. The food was good. We needed a base for a few days and DoubleTree provided us with one.

Stayed in the Double Tree @ Hyde Park very last minute in October 2016. Firstly I was very impressed with the discounted room on offer considering how late I had booked - 2 hours before arriving! Arrived at the hotel and parked in the Queensway public car park which is very secure @ £27 for 24 hours. The Double Tree have their own car park which is £25 for 24 hours, unfortunately when we arrived at the hotel we couldn't find the car park so used the Queensway car park. It wasn't until after we... The hotel location is very nice steps away from Kingston palace and cross the street from the Hyde park entrance. Hotel rooms are clean but a bit small compared to other double tree hotels. Reception area is very basic with lobby seats and not a single decoration. The breakfast is decent but the same menu is there every day without a single change.

The hotel is very clean and nice. The rooms are a little small, but its manageable. It is on a good location, nice area. The hop on/hop off buses stops in front of the hotel, two metro station apron at 5-7 min walk. There are some dinning options a few blocks away and the restaurant of the hotel is really good and cozy. The staff was very helpful, warm and nice, specially the concierges. Had a good time and definitely will stay again there.

Good quality hotel. Polite service and generous size king room. Bright room with lovely big windows and efficient air con. Good quality bedding and towels etc. Shower / bathroom looked new and smart but water pressure lacking. Nice neighbourhood with local cafes. Good location if wanting to be near Mayfair/ Oxford Circus - although tube / walk along Hyde park may prove far quicker than taxi due to heavy traffic. Generally good value for money and would stay again for this side of town.

We were at the Doubletree for 13 nights, and were very happy with our experience here. The plusses: 1) great location, very close to 3 tube stops; 2) terrific service, some of the best I've experienced in Europe (we were greeted with warm chocolate chip cookies, the check-in desk went out of their way to get us into a room prior to normal check-in time - our flight landed at 9:30 a.m. - and to put us in a room that would be good for a long stay; 3) the on-site restaurant is very good; 4) whenev... By the location on the map and description of the hotel it sounded ideal, but it was a bit far from city central, only made closer by the use of the Tube (underground). Thankfully when I arrived from the states early morning, they were very accommodating in getting me a room by 10am, way in advance of check-in. The room reserved included breakfast, except for day of arrival, only for the next morning, not sure how that works. Once MAJOR suggestion to anyone planning on staying in the roo... Read more

My wife and I tacked on a long weekend to my business trip to the U.K. This Doubletree is a short walking distance from the broad walk in Kensington Gardens. It's also away from the hustle and bustle of the more congested areas of London. The hotel room with its King bed was a little cramped but served us comfortably enough for our sightseeing ventures. It was a great stay.
