I stayed four nights here for my first trip to London. The prices were very good online and I arrived easily from Heathrow via the Heathrow Express and one metro train. From there it was just less than five minutes walk to the hotel. So you have the Circle, District and Central lines all within a short walk to hotel. Also there is good bus service about 200 meters away. As others have mentioned here, yes, the king-bed rooms are a bit cramped. However, I was by myself and so it was just fine. Ev... Read more

I must say I do like the Double Tree Brand of hotels. I booked a King Size room and on arrival I upgraded to a Deluxe room for £25 a night extra. When entering the room I thought they had given me the wrong key. Yes - a lovely room but a King Size deluxe?? There was no room to move whatsoever. If you are buying a deluxe room you should expect a sofa or something to sit on away from the bed and surely a bath? A Premier Inn has bigger rooms that this but the argument is always - well it's London.... Read more

This hotel is in a great location and is very modern and the staff were very friendly and even when we had a few issues they did go and investigate and got it sorted out for us. I would say that if you were staying for a few nights i would look for a hotel with bigger rooms because even though we upgraded they were still tiny and you could say thats it small because you are in London but this is not the case because we have stayed in many different hotels in London and the rooms were much bigger... Average hotel which was priced very well for almost central London. Good parking facilities and 30 minute walk to Selfridges and views over Hyde Park. When checking in I recommend you ask if the bathroom has heating as ours didn't and was also very small. If we had been staying more than 1 night we would have asked to have switched rooms.

I was very lucky to have been given a present of a night out in London for my 60th birthday, a visit to a show and a meal out. We stayed at the Double Tree by Hilton next door to Hyde Park. Really comfortable stay from the cookie on arrival to a very good breakfast on departure. Excellent service throughout. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a London base. One recommendation is a delightful walk across Hyde park . My only criticsm was the temperature of the breakfast..... I really don't ... Read more

Hotel is ideally located and close to Notting Hill & Queensway tube stations. The whole hotel is very clean and the staff were exceptionally professional and helpful. You are also situated overlooking Kensington Palace.

This was simply a lunch on the way from one place to another; the hotel is extremely well situated and, when it is sunny, the large, front terrace is a great place to have a quick bite ... you would think. The service is so disorganised - there is absolutely no shortage of staff, just a complete lack of idea - that it took us 10 minutes plus to get a menu (during which time I actually helped a waiter by opening the door (don't ask!), and a further 10 minutes to place the order. Interestingly, wh... Read more
