I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Battersea and was very impressed with how friendly and helpful the staff are, and that was even before I got to my room and realised the hotel was pretty good also. The hotel is right beside the London Heliport and there are helicopters arriving and leaving regularity however don't let that put you off, the noise from within the hotel was minimal, plus it's pretty cool to watch helicopters arrive and leave. No helicopters after 8am I was informed. Great hotel, slight... Read more

From the moment we arrived to the time we left nothing was to much trouble. We booked a club room but it didn't have a window that opened. I asked at the front desk if they had a room with windows that opened. They said only their suits had Windows that opened. They without a quibble upgraded us free of charge to a suite. The room was perfect with a fantastic view. The breakfast was fantastic with lots of choices. All the staff were brilliant and couldn't do enough to please. We would recommend... Read more

As a hotel it is 5 out of 5 all the way. I could find nothing to complain about, standard rooms are luxurious and contemporary, communal areas excellent and the riverside balcony with neighbouring helipad makes the views fascinating. No noise in the hotel so don't worry. If you've a car with you it's a great location and we did! BUT it is only a 3 out of 5 as it's not a quick walk to anywhere, so taxis are needed for everything and public transport that is usually amazing in central London is n... Read more

We have stayed at many Crowne Plaza around the UK and Europe. This is an excellent Crowne Plaza other than some heating system issues. The staff were particularity excellent especially Vincenzo on front desk. I would also like to thank Andre on front desk for help use with us being a pain with the sheets needing changing and for his further assistance. Marko in the bar and restaurant is a credit to the hotel and a superb member of staff. His team and manager were also very friendly and helpful. ... Read more

As the other reviewers say, this is a lovely hotel with great staff and service, cannot fault it. The location is great on face value - helipad next door is fun and Thames right outside. There is only one restaurant/bar at the hotel and NOTHING else nearby - no shops, bars or any alternative. Its a great retreat hotel with a nice spa on-site, great rooms with TV baths, etc which for the price is great. Wifi is free and very fast, this is needed because you will NOT get a mobile signal here due... Read more

The Crowne Plaza Battersea, formerly the Hotel Verta is a curvy glass building among a lot of other block of flats on the Thames. There is a heliport next to it but thankfully the hotel is triple glazed. We came here for a night. Check in was quick, they said we were given a larger room. The hotel has a funky interior which befits its modernist look. Our room was large with a big double bed, tea making facilities, lcd tv. The bathroom had a tub and open shower. My Daughter and I were coming to London for the weekend and wanted a hotel near or close to central London, and came across the Crowne Plaza. I decided to go ahead and book it and booked it on line with card, so everything was paid for. Since my last stay I think they must have upgraded their beds and bedding because I don't remember sleeping in such a comfortable bed with such great bedding. This is my favorite London hotel, with its location on the banks of the Thames, close proximity to Clapham Junction train and underground station, large rooms (not common in London) and comfortably outside the congestion charge zone without being miles away from the major attractions. Being in Battersea it's close to a great array of nota... Read more

I was staying as part of a business trip and overall had a great experience. The room was well maintained with a comfy bed and a fantastic view of the Thames. The quality of everything was high and my room was so quiet and relaxing. Plenty of choice at breakfast too. It is an isolated location but a taxi from Clapham junction will only cost less than £6 and 10 minutes max. Be aware that the drop off offered by the hotel doesn't run in the evenings. It took us over 4.5 hours to get across London from Greenford via underground, overground, bus and lots and lots of walking to find the place. We spent one night here during Wimbledon week. Rooms modern and comfortable. We over-looked the Thames which is well worth a little extra. Restaurant had a nice outside area, again over-looking the river. Prices very reasonable too in the restaurant. Car parking is valet on-site and £15 per night. Clapham Junction 10 minutes walk away. Definitely will stay again next year........thank you!

Booked the hotel because the hotel was close to Wimbledon and we had a corporate event at the Wimbledon. 1. Phone connection was bad inside / throughout the hotel - had to step outside for calls 2. Loud noise of helicopters landing and taking off in the meeting room that made it difficult to concentrate on presentations 3. Unfriendly / unprofessional staff - bed not made in 2 of the 3 days and had to request to get it done. In the first case, the cleaning lady I met in front of my room said s... Read more

The hotel is situated in an area pretty close to public transportation has a nice view of the river Thames and it's vicinity to the heliport was not disturbing. I expected the helicopters to be loud but I really didn't even notice that. Very comfortable room, cozy bed and I liket the bathtub TV. Breakfast was ok. I did not spend a lot of time in the hotel, but overall I found it to be ok in case you are traveling for business purposes.

Great hotel, little bit of fun trying to find it, but once there, it was lovely. Rooms lovely and clean, great staff. Breakfast was brilliant. Only thing I didn't like, they asked for a debit card, and held £25.00 during my stay. As I travel a lot and stay in many hotels, this was a first, I was not very happy. Not to sure I will be back, when questioned why they did this, was informed, it was in case I broke something or took the bathrobes......... Really!

During a weekend in London, my husband and I stayed in this hotel- and found it fantastic. Initially, we found the surrounding area odd and rather off-putting, because the hotel is situated in a strange little offshoot, and there is also a lot of construction ongoing nearby. Disappointed by our stay this weekend. Our booking via booking.com apparently had reserved the wrong room no river view or super king bed but rectified after a 11/2 hr wait. I feel very at home and that is a massive thing to be able to say to a large scale chain hotel. Bravo!

Nicely located on the river. Rooms are really small with the exception of the bathroom, which is really appealing ( bathtop with TV and nicely furnished ). Being just next to the Heliport, it is quite noisy and always pact with Chaffeurs and cars. Parking is only Valet. Take the breakfast in your room rate, as it is really worth it and well assorted, with great view and outside light. The hotel is not too well connected to the city. Use Huber, they are always around there .

Visited here for the night whilst watching the NFL in London. The hotel is beautiful. Extremely clean and very well presented. Pulled up outside to unload our bags and check in to which I left my keys with reception for them to take my car away and park in there safe underground car park for £15 a day. We arrived earl and Ali (who was amazing) found us a room that was ready so we could check in early and get freshened us before heading to the game. The room was huge and had everything we nee... We stayed here for one night as a present from our friend for my fiancé's birthday, as we'd been to see a Chelsea FC game earlier that day. We arrived at around 7pm and went to the reception desk where we were checked in by a lady who did not make us feel very welcome at all. She seemed miserable and almost looked down at us. This had put a negative stance on our day, but we thought we would go to our room to relax before going down to dinner. At dinner, my fiancé had ordered the steak. Our wa... Read more

Don't be put off by this hotel being South of the river. Whilst not on a main thoroughfare the hotel offers four star standards as a minimum level for rooms, food and service. Car parking available a reasonable prices, and Clapham Junction not 10 minutes away means London can be accessed with little difficulty. For the rich among us the heliport is next door.

We stayed here for two nights in October 2016. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable plus you get a lovely view of the river. The hotel rooms are extremely equipped and beds very comfortable- they even offer the lavender pillow spray for a peaceful sleep( small details matter) kudos. It was a short stay but a wonderful experience.

Well well well, where do we start. OK let's begin with the good, as I am a fair traveller reviewer and always strive to givey fair honest opinion to help both the traveller and hotel improve if needed. So the good about this crowne plaza hotel in battersea was that you had free wi-fi, spacious rooms, I was in a suite and the gym was pretty good with free bottled spring water. Is that it you ask, yes that is as good as it gets folks. Because I can honestly tell you i have not stayed in a wors... Read more

Cannot fault our stay at this hotel. Room had river view and was a delight to stay overnight in. The breakfast was well worth the price and service excellent. Our thanks to Beatrix and Ali who went out of their way to help make our stay extra special. Will be returning as soon as we can.

Good business hotel. Very comfortable rooms, good breakfast. Has a gym which needs a bit of TLC as some equipment was damaged and the space was a bit dingy. Clapham junction is the nearest rail link otherwise it is buses. I noticed on the last day they run a shuttle to Clapham junction but I wasn't made aware of this on arrival.

Despite the misunderstanding while booking the room, the stay went very well with a very good service from the front desk crew. Special thanks to Lukas for his attentiveness and also the manager of the bar for his excellent service.

Easy to find, concierge parking, a warm welcome. Great riverside location. We had a lovely room on the fifth floor overlooking the heliport and Thames. Lovely comfy bed and pillows. Bathroom stylish with a good sized bath and shower. Nice little touches such as wine glasses and corkscrew. We had a deal that included breakfast. The breakfast was really good. The sausages in particular were very tasty. We took time to enjoy the spa, we were lucky enough to have it to ourselves, it is moder... Read more

Somewhat late with this review, but hey as the saying goes, better late than never. Last stayed at a Crowne Plaza chain back in 2009 in Malaysia.....absolutely loved it... So you can imagine staying here well my expectations were high. Made three separate bookings for two rooms, for a total stay of eleven days on room only Booking service was very smooth, with no problems. The hotel staff were very accommodating and provided us with interconnecting rooms which kept the family together thro... Read more

Fantastic room, loved all the tiny details (sleep kit, Espa bathroom products etc), staff couldn't be any more helpful and sincere, breakfast was also brilliant. Brilliant hotel which I have already recommended highly to friends. Although the hotel is not near an underground station - they offer a free shuttle bus every hour to drop off points.

The shower was cold, the club lounge only offered free alcohol between 5-8 and then served a colleague alcohol free and went to charge him for the drink, before realising mistake. Food was lovely and bed comfortable. Hard to find

Although the taxi driver from Euston was a little unsure how to find the hotel, once inside we were greeting with genuine courtesy and efficiency - what a great combination. The room was just delightful: spacious, everything needed and a few extras to make one feel a little spoiled. Lovely bath! The restaurant was run well, again with friendly and capable staff.

Stayed here recently. I was on business so had no opportunities to sample anything other than room and food. The room was very spacious and very well appointed (however the light switches were a bit over complicated - a switch and a dimmer is fine!) the food was very good as well - freshly cooked and tasty. Gecstaff werecalso very friendly and helpful. Overall, a very good hotel.

Good location right by the Thames. We had booked a one night stay in a King Deluxe river view room. On checking in we were upgraded to a family suite on the 14th Floor with excellent river and views over London. Facilities were brilliant but issue with hot water which wasnt being pumped that high thus cold showers for 2 days. Pillows in the room were the worst we have come across thus did not get any sleep. Staff were very polite and welcoming. Afternoon tea was brilliant but restaurant meal ... Read more

The staff made you feel like a valued customer, they were pleasant, provided great customer service and they were kind. My 9 year old son enjoyed his stay tremendously. Would be good if there was a pool where children could be a part. We had the executive room with the king size and it was a spacious room with a very spacious bathroom with TV in the bathroom. You could have your bath and watching TV. The room have a proper iron and iron board in the room. But would have been good if you have tea... Read more

I stayed in this hotel for two nights in a Junior Suite. Originally I had a smaller room, but decided to upgrade. When I chose the upgrade on the IHG web site, it promised that I would have access to the club lounge, which was not true. I asked about this in the reception and the guy answered that I can pay at the bar for my drinks and food, which I felt was rude. The hotel is difficult to find, very tucked away behind a construction site. Clapham Junction is close but I used the buses 44 and ... Read more
