Wife booked this for us ensuring we had a one night stop over in London sorted - was for us and the 2 kids and in/near Angel to ensure close proximity to areas we were visiting. The upside was it was large/spacious when compared to a hotel room set up - but at £180 for the night it was overpriced for the quality we got. Overall poor suite conditions - basic everything essentially, small tvs (main lounge one didn't even work even after receptionist came up to have a look) WiFi intermittent, ki... Read more

As a traveler on a budget, this was a wonderful place to call home for the time spent roaming around London. Easy on the pocket and the eye, the apartment was clean and light. The beds were sadly not as comfortable as I would have liked but the spaciousness and perfect location made up for that. I will definitely make a return visit :-)

I was in the apartments for 45 days. They only cleaned the room once a week and we didn't have proper tools to clean by ourselves. Additionally the laundry was very expensive. The room is ok and the service of the receptionists was excellent. And it is very well located if you want to be in the north of London (Angel Station). But I would recommend to find something cheaper on other websites

We are staying at this amazing Apartment Hotel in the Islington section. The accommodations are spacious and well appointed. The staff is courteous and helpful. We could not be more satisfied, and will return. We recommend this place to travellers with larger parties. There are no amenities such as a pool but a convenient market across the street had everything you might need

The appartment house is located close to Angel Tube Station. There is a supermarket right across the street which makes it very convenient to stay here and get breakfast or other food. The reception desk is quite welcoming and helpful. During daytimes you always find someone at the reception to help you with any questions. We had a two bedroom appartment. Two spacey bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living /dining room and a ktichen. As earlier reviews of this place make clear - even though the furni... Read more

We stayed for 10 days and were very happy with Citadines St Marks in Islington. We opted for a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment on the ground floor. The bedrooms were large with soft, comfy double beds and closets and a chest of drawers for extra storage. Lots of natural light and both bathrooms were large with tiled floor and showers. Liquid hand soap and bar soap were provided in both bathrooms, as well as an iron and hair dryer.. The living room has hardwood floors, a sofa, 2 soft chairs, flatscre... Read more

After a long and difficult day of travel, my daughter and I checked into the citadines. If we hadn't been through so much to get there I would've turned around immediately and looked for an alternate hotel. The front desk people were all very friendly, but the accommodations were pretty bad. First off, as soon as you enter the building you are hit with a bad oder, which only gets worse when you get to your apartment. The apartment had dirty, stained carpets, filthy draperies which were hanging ... Read more

I am staying here right now. I am on the lower ground floor, the room is almost right on the street. Cars, trucks and buses are flying by the window. There is no way anybody could sleep in this room. The room is bare, the furniture scruffy, the mattress is warped and without any cover. TERRIBLE. Do not stay here. I have asked the front desk to move room and I've been told that 'this is not their job' Do not stay HERE.

This Apart-hotel is excellent for individuals or families. Only a couple blocks from Angel Station (tube). Gated facility so safety isn't an issue. The apartment is huge - living room, kitchen, each bedroom has it's own bathroom with full amenities. Staff is awesome for anything you might need

This place is great! Apartments just a stone's throw from Kings Bridge; bus stop right out front; supermarket /co-op right across the street... And very comfortable and quiet. I'll definitely be back.

Having the right expectations will greatly influence your satisfaction if staying at this property. It is not a hotel. You do not get daily maid service. It is an old property: there is an almost overpowering old cigarette smell throughout (we never closed our windows and bought air freshener). The faucets and showers drip. However, the suites are spacious and if you do not get a lower ground floor room, they are light. Across the street is a great grocery store and being able to prepare a... Read more

Firstly I'd like to say what friendly, professional, efficient and helpful staff they had at the front desk ( Diana ). Nothing too much trouble and very good customer service. Rooms all clean, modern and with all the necessary amenities needed in an apartment for a short stay. Done rooms had a lovely balcony area. For our group of 15 people the flexibility of an apartment with living room space was ideal. Plenty of space to leave luggage if arriving earlier than check in time. Handy co operativ... Read more

Had a wonderful stay at this apart-hotel. 2 bedroom, kitchen, 1 en-suite bathroom and an extra bathroom with shower, all nice and clean. We were on the upper ground floor and no noise problem at all. Staff members are courteous. Good location, 5-10 min walk to Angel underground. Lots of restaurants, etc. in the area. Will definitely stay again.

Have stayed here before. The units needs maintenance. We had to move mid-trip because apartment leaked due to heavy rains and poorly maintained brick pointing. Also signs of prior leaks in tub/shower. 2nd apartment had a leaky toilet. No instructions anywhere for using appliances except washer/dryer. All bedrooms were cramped with a minimum (less than 18 inches) clearance to walk in front of bed into bathroom. This bldg and its units have potential but unclear if management has the will to m... We stayed 8 nights at this apart-hotel in Islington. The unit we had was a 2-bedroom apartment with 1 twin-room and 1 double room. The ceilings were high, which added to the sense of spaciousness. There was lots of space for us and our 2 children and for our luggage and shopping. We enjoyed having a well-kitted out kitchen, which made eating/cooking really easy, as well as a washer/dryer. I enjoyed my stay at the citadines. Loved the apartment and the location but I was quite disappointed with the Internet service provided. It was quite slow and epileptic. Apart from that everything else was as expected. I think they can improve on the service

I was pleasantly surprised by the Vitamins. The apartment we got was very spacious with two good size bedrooms and two baths as well as a fully equipped kitchen and large living room. The staff was very nice and helpful and the place is conveniently located to many bus lines and the Angel Tube station. It is also within walking distance (under 30 minutes) of the British museum. We stayed in apartment #17 for 4 nights family of four to explore London for the first time. Our booking agent put it as an option on our list. It is fairly dismal inside and bathrooms were awful but we made the best of it as we only needed a base. It is a fair distance to the city but does have a lot of bus stops along City road. The website photos are very different to our actual apartment so we were a bit disappointed. It looks fabulous from the outside and we are sure there are nice rooms in... Read more

The location of the property was ideal for exploring London, which was our objective and why we selected it. We stayed at Citadines St Mark's-Islington for a month, it was our first 'home' when we moved to London from Canada. I won't be able to comment on value for money in this review - the apartment was part of a relocation package. The reception area can get crowded when there are multiple guests checking in and out, staff was polite and helpful (except for this one guy, detailed in this review later). All the elevators were running during our month-long stay there. There is a common area past the... Read more

An excellent apartment in East London. The apartment was very spacious. A lot of light and very clean. Overall I was very very satisfied. It would be good if there was some facility to drag in the luggage specially given that we had heavy suitcases and had to lift it.

I was hoping this hotel was closer to a tube stop than it actually is. Also, that tube stop is Angel, which is only on one line and you have to walk a fairly long way to get from the tube entrance to the platform. So just getting to and from a tube train to the hotel takes awhile if you are walking. Then, when you first enter the hotel room, they keep all the doors closed to the rooms, so if gives you a very closed in feeling when you first enter the room. Which actually a false feeling because,... Read more

Let's start changing your mind: this is not a hotel! The building is around 4 squares to Angel Underground, and there are a supermarket (coop) very close. Probably deserves 3 and a half. Hospital built in 1853 converted to apartments. We had a large one bedroom apartment-we were just here for one night, but if we were staying a week or longer, this would be really nice. We needed a taxi to the airport the next day and they handled it flawlessly. Internet worked well.

Brochure advert: "High Speed Internet" Reality: No internet (Wifi signal but too weak to connect) Do not stay here if you are a business customer - I went down to reception 4 days in a row to try and sort out a solution. Apparently their idea of a solution is to rotate 2 mobile wifi routers amongst the 100s of guests - I suppose whoever complains the loudest wins one of them. I have often chosen Citadines as a places where to stay in London, because I feel more comfortable to be in a studio apartment rather than in a hotel when I travel. I was at Citadines Trafalgar, South Kensington and Barbican, in London, and at Citadines in Paris, and they all greatly responded to my expectations. It's convenient location and charming façade belies the reluctant and sometimes unhelpful staff. It appears to be an establishment that is managed by people waiting for something better to come along - they don't appear to enjoy their job. I have stayed here maybe a dozen times over the years. It's a good location if you want to be in the City to work. It's now a bit tired and the rooms are in need of an upgrade. But they are pretty good. 3 star at most though. This stay my bed was a mess. All of the springs had gone in the mattress such that it was like a futon and there was a dangerous broken floorboard under the carpet to the left of the bed.
