Stayed here on 27th April 2016 for one night as it is close to The Royal Albert Hall to see radio 2 folk awards. Room was small and not that clean but ok for one night. Good points are that RAH is within walking distance, about 15mins, and the Italian resturant next door is brilliant and reasonably priced. Hotel is advertised as 4star but i would only rate it with two. Its right on Kensington high street so good for shops and opposite is Royal Kensington gardens, good if you like open space ! an... I had no problem with the staff . Hotel reasonably priced and in a central position. I do not think it should be prefixed by 'Best Western' as I have stayed in this chain in many countries and the standard is usually much higher than this. I can only implore people NOT to book a room on the front as the street noise is horrendous. If you are on the first floor you not only get the buses stopping outside but also loud noise of people shouting and laughing well into the night. I was in tears throu... Read more

Hidden gem. Small but in a perfect location for a visit to the RAH and the restaurants of Kensington. Inexpensive, clean, well run by very welcoming staff. Would thoroughly recommend. I'm sure there are bigger and more expensive places to stay, but for a night or two this is in just a perfect spot.

We stayed here after a show at the Albert hall. Very disappointed. Room small, window wouldn't open and bedroom like a sauna. Breakfast poor. Overall not good value for£150 a night. Room was clean and staff were friendly. Would not stay again.

I stayed here several times and was really happy with the location and the standard and good prices but something has changed, maintenance has stopped, the carpets are frayed, the shower and toilet broken and the cleaning standards have dropped. I mended my own shower and easily washed the mold off the wall so why the staff are not doing this is a mystery.. must be a management issue or change.

Stayed here for 1 night on a very hot day in London. Guess I got lucky but having read earlier reviews as soon as I got in I turned the aircon to max and ensured the double glazing iwas shut - my room faced onto High St Ken so you will get some noise if you don't! Whilst the room was clean, the shared areas especially the hall/stairs were not with leftover cutlery, butler satchels etc

The BW Seraphine Kensington Gardens hotel is very nice indeed. My room was spacious and extremely comfortable. The staff were very helpful and professional. The breakfast was nice. The hotel location is excellent being on Kensington High Street and very close to Kensington Palace. There are plenty good restaurants within easy walking distance and transport is perfectly adequate. I would recommend this hotel to others.

Chose this hotel due to location as I was in London to see two shows at the Royal Albert Hall. Hotel is situated right on high street Kensington and about a 10-12 minute walk to the RAH, which was perfect. Tube Station is about 5-7 minutes away as well. I reserved a single since it was going to be a short stay. Room had an odd lay-out--not your normal "square room" but more of a triangle with the narrow point being the door. Kind of tucked away in the corner, so if I would have had a full suit... Read more

My husband, daughter & son-in-law stayed here in order to visit the Albert Hall as it is within easy walking distance. It offered good value for money, with a continental breakfast included. The rooms are small but very well equipped, with air-conditioning, clockradio, power shower etc. All you could need for an overnight stay really. The staff were all very friendly, helpful & efficient. Nothing was too much trouble for them- Thank-you.

I was staying at this hotel for three nights for business. It is very well located for London attractions and the tube network but for my purposes it needed to be very close to Kensington Gardens, and a restful place to have a few hours sleep each night. The welcome I got on arrival was not warm or welcoming, a gentleman checked me in whilst on the phone to someone else. The room was small, although in London I think most are. I had booked through a third party as they had no rooms available... Read more

Rooms were clean small but adequate for our needs. Tip is to request a room at the back as rooms on the high st can be noisy with traffic and late night revellers. Breakfast is continental but ok. I have stayed in some not very good hotels in London on business, but this takes the rancid biscuit. I am embarrassed, as this is the hotel that gives London its bad reputation for accommodation with foreign tourists. Carpets were REALLY dirty, the lift was scary (the receptionist actually intimated I might prefer to take the stairs despite my heavy load), my room was dark and smelled like sewers (see the delightful view from my window in attached photo), the shower fell off the wall and perhaps... Not a great hotel . But in a good location for exploring the West End. I paid by Best Western gift vouchers, and was billed to my credit card 15 months after my stay. I questioned this with the manager who was unhelpful . He had no explanation as to why ...and just kept re-iterating that he is allowed to charge my card. I have complained to Best Western directly ...who have spoken with the manager and fixed the problem...Best Western Rewards main phone line could not of offered better service... Read more

I was surprised by this hotel. Although at first is complicated to take the stairs to the lobby with your luggage, the size of the rooms is pretty good for London and has a great location! Not that far from the metro station (5 min walk) and right in front of Kensington Park and near many restaurants an shops. (bus station just in front of the hotel) Breakfast is ok and staff is super friendly.

The hotel has a great location but little else positive to say. The man on the check in desk was so rude and unhelpful. I stayed 2 nights while on a course. I had a single room that was tiny, you struggled to get round the bottom of the bed to to reach the window it was that tight. The bathroom was fine and clean. Far amount of noise from the road. I would not stay here again.

The hotel was spotless (we had a double executive room). Small room but very well appointed. Tea/coffee, wi-fi etc. Noise in our High St Kensington facing room virtually intolerable until 3am. Cold buffet breakfast adequate but I did enjoy the limited cold meats and cheese. First floor reception (accessed by stairs) not an problem (even with knackered knees and a case :-)).

If you are visiting London, please do not stay at this hotel, it will ruin your stay and will give a bad impression of the hospitality business in general. The gentleman behind reception on my arrival was openly hostile when I queried his request for photo id and a credit card (the room was pre-paid and I have never had this request at any other Best Western hotel). He placed my bank card in the reader and put £10 on without any explanation and then became more hostile when I questioned this. ... Read more

Rooms clean. Shower worked well. Shampoo provided. Bed comfortable. Small, but under £100 in central London so that is to be expected. Continental breakfast solid, albeit with cold cuts instead of the sausages/bacon you usually get at BWs - still able to make a decent sandwich (cooked breakfasts were available at charge, I think). Close to an underground station and some decent pubs and restaurants. The receptionist was a bit of a mixed bag though. He was there at our check in and check out an... Read more

The hotel is very run down. The room was very small. The bedding and the bathroom were clean and the location is fantastic but that is where it ends. There is no lift on the ground floor and we faced a long stairwell- with an old unclean carpet- not a good beginning. We had to ask for assistance with our heavy luggage. We enjoyed our stay. We liked the location, with restaurants and shopping close by, and access to the tube about a five minute walk away. The breakfast was decent, and the rooms were adequate. This was our first trip to London, and found this hotel to be a reasonable place to stay, yet close enough to access many attractions via the Tube.

The only reason to stay here would be the location. Only a few blocks to the Bayswater station, across from Kensington Park, and close walk to numerous lovely restaurants. If you have any mobility issues, look somewhere else. The stairs are rather steep and narrow. Room is tidy but hotel overall is rather run down. Entrance is a bit tricky with luggage as check in and lobby are upstairs. Breakfast is alright, but much better options, even the Whole Foods supermarket has better food.

Summary: We stayed one night in this hotel (of three), checked out on day two after changing rooms and discovered roaches in our "new" room. The concierge was supportive of our request following our first night in this hotel to change rooms, and offered to change our room again once we discovered bugs. However, my husband and I were both ill during our trip throughout Europe and ended up moving to a five star hotel across the street for better comfort (and less roaches). Both rooms we receive...
