If u want to pop in the hotel to just to spend the night there, this is the perfect choice. They have the tiniest hotel room I have ever seen??? we had the towels, WiFi free which were not supposed to be free. Actually since it's a budget hotel they charge for all of that. But they have contacts with several booking websites and u can get those stuffs free if u book the hotel from that websites. We stayed there for couple of days checked out at 10 am after that. The Good: Staff were excellent, attentive and quick to deal with us and the other guests requiring their attention. Location is also great for all things shoreditch and the city. The Bad: The rooms were exceptionally basic, a double bed, with a single wafer thin pillow each and a tv on the wall, small ensuite bathroom with a shower that did not get above mildly warm regardless of the temp setting. The was an air-con unit above the door that had 2 settings - pump out freezing cold air or off an... Read more

Food wise- you are spoiled for choice in the local area... Spittalfields market is around the corner with oodles of choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner!! Definitely will be back staying here again and have recommended it to all our friends!

I didn't have high expectations as I came here. Having read other reviews and given this is a budget hotel I thought it should be fine for 1 night as prices in London for this particular day seemed high. Unfortunately, I did not have a pleasant stay. I paid $130 which isn't that cheap. Towels, WiFi, and TV were included which was good. The room was tiny which I didn't mind but clean. What I did mind is that there was no window in the room. The air was so dry and bad that I developed a headache r... Read more

Some people might not like the concept that Tune Hotel uses, but I think it is perfect. You really get what you pay for. You can choose the options you want for your room. I was there for one night so all I need was a clean room and shower. And it was perfectly clean, quiet and staff was nice. 24 hour reception, I checked in at midnight and there was no problem. I turned up last night and room had been given away. I am not sure whether this was on purpose or not. The hotel does not have adequate plans in place for relocating guests and it took 3 to 4 hours to find hotels for on 7 guests. I ended up 25 mins drive away in Walthamstow. The guys tried hard to sort it but they did not have the tools for this scenario. Missed meetings, additional costs incurred so no revisit for me.

This Tune is right by a pub, busy road and over ground rail. It is incredibly noisy. The staff behave as if we are doing them a favour. Tune is meant to be a cheap alternative allowing you to add what you need to the price. In the end it turns out as expensive as any other low cost hotel. The atmosphere made me want to offer more money for the extra tiolet roll we needed in the room.

Sometimes the concept of "low cost" is used to rip off the customer or guests, this is the case. Under my point of view, low cost should be an smart and sustainable way of operating where the company gets a benefit and the customer as well, something like a "win win". Here you are charged for products or services like soap, towels, TV, wifi. After paying for all these concepts I realized I've forgotten my plug adaptor. I work for a company based in London. We have deals with a number of hotels in The City and they generally charge £120+ per night. 3 stars out of 5 is a little harsh as this is a clean and modern hotel right by Liverpool Street station. I'd stay here again as a tourist but not on a business trip, there's no restaurant in the hotel, no cooked breakfast, they only have the old fashioned electric irons without steam which is terrible when you have a shirt to iron, there are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room and there is literally no mobile reception anywhere in the hotel. Great hotel if you're here for pleasure a... Read more

We have previously found Tune Hotels a good place to stay and written a few favorable 5 stars reviews on them. However, this time was a great disappointment and we might not stay there again. In the middle of our room, which already was very small, there was a great big concrete column sloping from floor to ceiling almost blocking the entry to the room and completely blocking all light from the small entrance in front of the bathroom. It was so big that the double bed could only be accessed fro... Read more

We had asked for a early check-in via booking.com which we were emailed was going to be ok. When we arrived we were told it was not possible and if it was we would be charged an extra £15. If we wanted to leave bags prior to booking in it would be £2.50 each bag. The tv and hair dryer in room 10 does not work. The shower tray filled with water and is obviously partially blocked. The staff asked when we left if we had a good stay - when i explained they said 'o dear, here's a card you can put a... Read more

I've stayed in a few Tunes but this was my first time at the Liverpool Street branch, and found it absolutely fine for my two night stay. My ground floor room was small (it's London) but comfortable, and clean, and the overall hotel was relatively quiet too considering it was a weekend. As with any Tune hotel, extras (towels, TV, internet), cost slightly more, but even factoring those in the price is still more than competitive for anywhere in central London. Location is great, a 5 minute walk... Read more

Make no bones about it, hotels on London are pricey. The Tune Hotel offered a competitive rate, justified by the teeny tiny size of the room (only slightly larger than the small double bed). I felt that a 'larger framed' person would struggle to get through the shower door! This is a room for sleeping in, not chilling out or relaxing in. Which fitted the bill for me. A great location and a clean room. I found the staff friendly.

If you need not too overpriced place to stay in the centre of the city with good connection (tube nearby) then this hotel is for you. Rooms are quite small, but in acceptable 3 stars standard. My only remark is that the window glass was not see-through (and window could be opened only vertically, not horizontally) while the rate for the rooms with window is higher - I paid more intentionally as expected to have some view on outside area which was not possible at the end. Cheapish hotel in a nice location which served our purpose OK. The room was very small, not really a problem for us as we were using it as a one night bolt hole only. It was very clean. The breakfast was a simple continental choice and the food on offer was nice enough. The staff when we arrived were helpful and friendly but we felt that it was a little understaffed the following morning as the service wasn't quite so good. The hotel is new and felt a little like it was still finding it's feet.

Perfect location: next to very good pubs, nice markets, train station, bus station and tube. Clean and nice. Rooms might be small, but when in London you need the room only to sleep. The price is also ok, considering that it is in London and considering all advantages.

The Tune hotel is truly a budget hotel, with you paying for extras like towels. That said the rooms are very clean if small and the staff are very pleasant. It certainly would not be my choice if staying more than one night. Avoid the ground floor rooms as they are particularly noisy from the road

2 genuinely lovely ladies working on reception when I arrived, couldn't do enough to help and make me feel welcome. Having stayed in numerous hotels around the area, the customer service is by far the best, even in comparison to much more expensive alternatives. I am not normally one to leave reviews, however the two ladies (Mariangela & Nikki) were so kind and helpful I felt this deserved. Well done Tune, two great staff members, I hope they are rewarded ! I was on the ground floor. You can hear the tube rattle away every 5 or 6 minutes under the hotel until midnight and starting again at 5am. The corridor door banged away until late into the night making falling asleep difficult, the aircon fan made an annoying noise over and above the regular hum that air con makes and to top it off there is small road down the side of the hotel than cars dash down all time of the day and night as a short cut. The Tune hotels are for the traveller on a budget, but saying that they are very clean, newly fitted out offering great value. The rooms are very small, be warned.
