We were received with a personalised hand written and individually signed (by 4 Department Heads) Welcome Card; each extending a welcome and assuring us of their department's services. Our fairly long stay considered we were promised a 'Home away from home' and the promise stood delivered.

I expected this hotel to be a bit of a tourist attraction, but though it is themed in Sherlock's time, it is a thoroughly modern hotel with excellent facilities and restaurant. Top hygiene rating too. Full English Breakfast buffet for a tenner in London: WOW! Though it was busy over the weekend, the staff made us feel welcome and were willing to go the extra mile to make our stay so enjoyable. Excellent hotel, very friendly staff and great location. We stayed in a loft suite and it has to be one of the nicest rooms we've stayed in, plenty of room. Our daughter stayed on the sofa bed down stairs. She loved her stay there as she's a big fan of sherlock, however the hotel is modern and the sherlock theme is not to much. Will definitely be returning.

Stayed for convenience to Baker Street and links to Wembley - ideal just 2 mins from Baker Street. Hotel is well situated, employees all friendly and efficient, and facilities what we needed. Not the biggest or newest Park Plaza so don't expect the Westminster - a little tired in places but perfectly adequate and not paying a premium price.

Picked the hotel based on location. On arrival I walked through the bar areas which was busy (Euro 2016 and a quick downpour!) with a nice atmosphere, to the rear of the building where I was greeted by a lovely receptionist and given my keys to room 325. Made my to the room only to be disappointed. I had asked for a room with a seating area, and having looked at the website was expecting much more that a hard sofa and scarred coffee table and a tv. The seating area was dark and could have bene... Read more

Vaios who serves us in our meeting has gone out of his way to make sure we are well served. Very approachable and friendly. This is a complete contrast to the reception I got from the person standing by the door at the main entrance. I certainly felt unwelcomed when I came through the door yesterday. I wish the staff by the door would take similar approach as what I received from Vaios.

We know London well but have never stayed in this hotel nor explored this part of the city. We had a great stay and thought we got super value for money when you consider how much you can pay for London accommodation. It was smart and comfortable, with a welcoming staff. It is my new place to recommend to friends.

The service from Kostas and Vaios for our Sherlock Holmes Murder mystery party last night was excellent. We had a wonderful actor, Chris, who got everyone involved and moved the hilarious plot along. Mark who handled our booking was very helpful with our last minute booking to make it a fantastic birthday venue. One thing is you have to bring decorations to jazz up the boardroom, but they do set a wonderful table up, it just needs some help not looking like a boardroom!

I found the hotel by chance.I've been many time in London, though never in the area where the hotel is. The position is perfect, there are lots of shops, the place is quiet. The hotel seems almost to be hidden and I was afraid to have done the wrong choice. I was surprised by the staff, always professional and so dedicated. The room was nice, maybe not so spacious, but very well organised. The area perfect, both for holiday and business trips. It was definitely a pleasant discovery

Had several stays here in over the course of 3 months. Good location close to Baker Street station and within easy walking distance of many restaurants. When you first enter you think "is this one of those rickety places with carpet on the bathroom floors?" and the common areas are very creaky and could use some TLC. All rooms I've been in however are very comfortable with not too much furniture (they feel spacious) and very decent Wifi for London hotels. Would stay again.

The room was comfortable enough at first sight but the window looked out onto a brick wall no more than two metres away and there was a noisy air conditioning duct outside the window so the window had to remain closed. After a lovely night a bit of a disaster struck. We were woken at midnight by water pouring through our bathroom ceiling. To cut a long story short we were moved, but given it was 1am, en... The Park Plaza in Baker street is a well kept hotel in a great location.Easy access to the tube station and only 2 stops to Oxford street .The rooms are a good for London but what made our stay was the friendlessness of the staff especially Michele in the bar.Would recommend this hotel and will definitely be back .

My husband and I stayed here for our 10th wedding anniversary. What a fabulous hotel. The staff were very friendly, check in was speedy and our room was the best we could have hoped for. In our room was a cat signed by the staff and 2 cakes complementary of the hotel for our anniversary, a lovely surprise The breakfast was £10 each and to us seemed very good value for money. Location was great. On Baker Street a 2 minute walk from Baker Street tube station. We will be staying here again.

I'm staying often in this hotel just because it is convenient (close to the office on Baker street ). That is the best thing about the hotel unfortunately: it is close to the office. This place could really do with a major refurbishment. The staff do their very best and I appreciate that but if I have the choice, do I stay there again? Probably not.

It is located near Baker Street subway station, also just next to 2 bus stops and 2 minimarkets. Several children-friendly restaurants are very close as well. The hotel has good accessibility (my wife used wheelchair, and staff was always ready to help us with ramp), lifts (although one of them was out-of-order, the second worked). They also provide good family package for a breakfast (10 GBP per adult, kids are free). Breakfast selection is rather limited, but it does allow hassle free and quic... Read more

28.09.16 - 30.09.16 Having stayed at the hotel a few years previously and had such a good stay we decided to treat ourselves to a Junior Studio room for our anniversary. We were not disappointed. Online booking direct with park Plaza was easy. We arrived early on our check in day and were greeted by a very polite pleasant member of the reception team. Check in was quick (5 minutes max) Our room wasn't ready (which we anticipated) but there was no problem storing our cases. On our return we colle... Read more

Park Plaza in Baker Street is a nice hotel in a great location. The staff were very friendly. The facilities were great. The room was spacious, nice decor and very clean. I like that they have proper hairdryer and iron and ironing board. There wasn't much choice on the room service menu but what I had was delicious. Especially the strawberry cheese cake. But there are many nice places to eat outside. The weather was pretty awful the night I was there so having a room service was great! Good v... Read more

I recently stayed at this hotel in one of their Loft suites and it was amazing. The suite consists of a sitting room and bathroom on one floor with an open plan bedroom on the second floor with a larger bathroom including a shower and roll top bath. This room offered a great space for a week long stay with plenty of room to relax (and space for all the shopping bags). It is in a great location on Baker Street with less than a ten minute walk to Selfridges. The suite was clean and comfortable. It... Read more

I went to London for my birthday, my two friends (one works for Park Plaza) surprised me with a stay in the hotel. The staff went out of their way to make the surprise even more pleasant by decorating the room with balloons. When I was having dinner at the best table in the restaurant they even brought out a cake with happy birthday on it, to top it of they even sang happy birthday to me. Fatmir made sure the food was good and everything was perfect.

We came again for a vacation treat to this hotel, based on our last year's experience. This time we got a 4'th floor (419) room which did have the ability to open a window for fresh air, something we lacked much last time. HOwever this room had another flaw - the door to the bathroom could only open half-way, which made it quite un-comfortable. Besides that, the hotel is very clean, tidy, comfortable, great location and atmosphere.

I was woken up at 2 am for a room search! they thought I was smoking only to figure out that the alarm was broken. did not even apologize. the window in my room was broken and didn't close. I asked for a room change, but was recommended that I turn on the air conditioning to warm my room and put pillows in front of the window :)

Nice reception bar and checkin and easily accessible concierge. The room is a little Spartan and I think this hotel is better suited to business travellers than a romantic getaway. The staff were mostly very helpful ...just a bit busy at breakfast and was hard to get a refill on my coffee. My room faced onto Baker St which is very busy, but that can't be helped , if you are a light sleeper might be better to get a room at the rear of the hotel.
