Staff were very friendly, room was big if a bit dated, hotel is in need of a make over! Breakfast was basic continental breakfast but enjoyed it and set us up for a busy day, good location in a quiet street would definitely try out another grange hotel.

Lovely hotel. Well situated for Covent Garden, British Museum and theatre land. Easy walking distance to all. Spotlessly clean with well equipped bedroom and bathroom. Friendly helpful staff. Recommend you try it

The room was very clean and quite. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The location is simply amazing, just few minutes from Holborn station and the British museum, that is why we picked this hotel. It is good for families and couples. Recommended for business trips or gateway weekends.

Close to Russell Square and Holborn station, Covent Garden, British Museum ... walking distance to many attractions. Around 5 rooms sharing bathroom (W and M don't share). Small room, friendly staff. The bed is not the best.

I stayed in a triple room with my two children. Booking - I made my reservation online but did not receive my confirmation email so called an hour later to enquire. Was advised that my booking had not gone through, despite the funds being held on my credit card. In the meantime the room had gone. Being that the reservation was for the following evening, the lady at the reservation centre did her best to resolve the matter by asking another guest to change to another hotel and in turn allowing ... This hotel was a real find and in a great location for the West End, SoHo and Covent Garden etc. I booked for two nights in a superior double as I wanted en-suite facilities (not all rooms have it). The room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and the bath/shower had plenty of hot water and power plus all the usual toiletries. I had a good nights' sleep too. The room (06) was at basement level and was a tad warm but a fan was provided. Despite being at that level there was enough light from t... Read more

Great location for exploring London. I stayed on business and the room was huge; lots of space and very clean. The hotel is a bit of a maze in terms of corridors and stairs but service was great and breakfast good so would definitely return.

The service and breakfast were wonderful. They were very helpful with directions and schedules. Breakfast options were huge and delicious. Our room was clean, small, and a hike to get to. But, we were in shape for the challenge!

I booked via the Internet and received a confirmation email very quickly. Really simple and straightforward However on arrival I found that I had been upgraded to the sister hotel across the room. Now this was code for either we are undergoing refurbishment or we've double booked - I couldn't be sure which. A simple email telling me that I had to run across the road would have been useful and saved the poor girl behind the desk having to tell a hungry tired guest that he had to go elsewhere T... We spent a weekend at this hotel celebrating a special birthday. Although the location was good, that's about the only thing good about this place. First of all, we could barely find the place as the whole front was covered in scaffolding. Secondly, when we get assigned a room, we find three builders in there, talking and smoking. We were assigned a new room and walked in to find yet another two builders in that one as well. They left fairly quickly, but it made us feel very uncomfortable that... Read more

Where do I start? On arrival I was told that my front facing room was affected by ongoing work (scaffolding), but as a good will gesture I get one free drink. I let this go and all was fine. When I got to the room I had no view at all and I had to find out in a letter that work will be carried out from 5am -7pm each day and I may hear some noise. Yep, they were correct on that account. Noise from the early hours and workmen right outside my second floor room. I was unable to sleep in and u felt... Read more

It is always a pleasure to stay here, the staff are very friendly and the hotel is clean and comfortable with all the facilities we require. Whilst being very convenient for places like the British Museum and the west end it's only draw back is the lack of a lift. Although staff are always on hand should anyone need assistance with luggage to the upper floors. Part of a group we have stayed in several of the town house hotels which are close by and have always received the same level of service ... Read more

The Hotels location was excellent. It is 5 minutes walk from British Museum, and within a circle of half an hour walk to several attractions, such as Oxford street (for shopping), Trafalgar Square(Admiral Nelson Statue) and National Art Gallery, Soho area (for theatres/musicals and restaurants and food). I think there were 2 subway stations within 7-10 mins walk from the hotel. Stuff was friendly and helpful. Helped me to print few pages, I needed, with no charges. Room was clean, and spacious,... It's in the center of London, next door to the British Museum and less than 10 minutes walk to the underground station. The entire place is decorated with English tradition, the room was cozy althought a bit small, but what can you say with this location. The only shortcoming is there's no lift.

We booked a double room with a shared bathroom. The location of the hotel is great-just 300 metres from the British Museum. The room was spacious and clean. The furniture and bedding of good quality. There was a kettle, some teabags, coffee, milk and sugar in the room which was a nice thing after a day of sightseeing . The room had a flat TV, a hair-dryer and a receptionist gave us a UK/European adaptor plug so we could recharge our mobiles. It's closer to Russel Square underground station.

First, the good points: staff was extremely friendly and helpful; we appreciated that. The room itself was large and comfortable, with a good space for work separate from sitting, visiting, etc. That feature was of particular value to us. Location is excellent. The neighborhood is quiet and calm, very pleasant. Nearby parks are charming. Several attractive restaurants available without even having to cross a street-- very convenient indeed. The down sides? No elevator (lift) was the bigg... Read more
