Wow. Just wow. Gorgeous hotel with stunning rooms, wonderfully located. But it's the staff and service that sets this hotel apart. We received one of the most personal welcomes we've ever received at a hotel. Reception, concierge and bar staff were all second to none and went above and beyond to make our stay luxurious and effortless. Highly recommend the Conrad St James to anyone and everyone. It's well worth the price tag. Can't fault our stay in any way.

Great service but hotel isn't up to the Conrad standards. Rooms were a bit small. Executive lounge falls short of expectations - snacks, breakfast could be improved. Best part was the location. Saved a lot of time with hotel close to major attractions. Short walk to Westminster Abbey and London Eye.

This hotel has a perfect location. It must be also very safe because it is next to the New Scotland Yard :-) You can easily reach it from Paddington Station with just one tube line. The hotel is located right across the street of St. James's Park station. Perfect! We arrived to the hotel before noon and were so happy to have our room at once. That was impressive! The lighting was very dark in bathroom. Do not stay in room 142 as the vibration from every train can be felt in bed !!!! UGH ....no sleep. There was no full length mirror. First I'll say I am a Diamond member, so this highly enhanced my experience. The tea time here, along with afternoon snacks and drinks, is an incredible perk, and done very well at this property(runs for hours on a daily basis). Luxurious hotel located within walking distance of many tourist sites in and around Westminster Abbey. St. James's Tube Station right across the street, as well as a Starbucks. Hotel staff is incredible. Concierge's ability to get theater tickets at last-minute was impressive. Appreciated the bartender's wry sense of humor and ability to make a killer Old Fashioned. A somewhat boutique choice - great for the tube & fantastic for walking around London‚??s historic sites. The rooms here can be noisy (traffic/tube trains) but do request an inner facing one. My room was perfectly silent, thankfully, and furnished to a very high standard. Rooms are good-sized by London standards and the breakfast buffets have a wide spread, even though they would improve if they can put on a bit more variety. We have just had a two night break at this hotel. A tad expensive for the size of the rooms...a little small, but overall a fabulous hotel. Exceptionally clean, housekeeping really should be given a pat on the back, and staff all wonderful, even accommodating us with something to eat in the bar at 10.50pm, just as service was ending. We had a room which faced an inner courtyard which, although not a pretty view, it meant the room was quiet at night. Hotel on the whole is very quiet and the beds ... Read more

This is a British luxury hotel in the Conrad (Hilton family) chain. The location is excellent for sightseeing (very close to Buckingham Palace and other famous sites) and getting around (across the street from a Tube stop). Top: tube station literally across the street, modern clean rooms/bath, friendly staff, many main sights in easy walking distance. We even had a view on Westminster Palace from our room. Notice: prices are very high, but you get its worth in our opinion (if not just for the location alone).

We had a wonderful stay at the Conrad, the hotel was beautiful and great service! The only negative thing I have to say is the we didn't get the room we choose in the pre checking or the early check in, other then that it was great!

We stayed for 5 days in the first week of November. Although the Conrad is a branded hotel it had an intimate feel of a smaller boutique hotel with exceptional service levels. Having arrived at 8am after flying direct from Sydney we were very impressed to be given an opportunity to take a shower in the executive lounge and to then be given a room at 11am. The hotel is well located with an underground station across the road. Our room was large and comfortable, with quiet air conditioning and a... Read more

Took my wife on a trip to London for a 3 day weekend and had an excellent stay. I had picked my room during early check-in online, but the room wasn't ready. I had Picked a 6th floor room with courtyard view. We were offered a 3rd level room with street view and thought it wouldn't matter. However the noise from street or maybe AC from building across the street was too much for our liking. (This was our first trip away from our 2 little kids, so we wanted absolute silence). We called front desk... Read more

I stayed in many hotels in the past 25 years in London, but the Conrad St.James was really one of the best. Fantastic rooms and every detail in the room is perfect. Just opposite the Tube-Station St.James. What I really liked is the private and quite atmosphere. I had access to the lounge and also here everything is fine. A wonderful hotel.

By far my favorite hotel in London, out of the more than 20 I've stayed within. When you arrive at this hotel, you will immediately be greeted by impeccably dressed doormen, all whom exude professionalism and sincere desire to assist. Upon entering the beautiful intimate lobby, you will feel this hotel is class. As a Hilton Honors member, there is a separate check-in area on the left when you enter which is very personable and personalized. Once check-in is complete, the person who checked y... Read more

We stayed at the Conrad recently for our 5 year wedding anniversary because of it's location and it didn't disappoint. Travel from Heathrow was easy. Picadilly Line to South Kensington, then transfer to the Circle/District Line (eastbound) to St. James. The hotel is right next to this Tube stop. From our hotel, we were able to walk to Westminster Abbey/Big Ben/Parliament within minutes and cross the Thames to the London eye. In the other direction, we walked to Buckingham Palace and to the par... Read more

Hotel is situated opposite the underground station so finding it was a breeze on a dismal wet evening. The location of the hotel is probably unbeatable in central london for being able to access everything. Doormen were there on arrival with a genuinely friendly greeting and to assist with luggage. Check in was swift yet informative with a very pleasant lady who gave us a complimentary upgrade and late check out as it was my birthday Room was fairly small however this should be expected from ce... I've stayed at the Conrad St. James several times now, and for a while it was my favourite hotel in London. The location remains excellent, the hardware is good, the beds are lovely, and everything is very clean. But service this time was not where I expected it to be. I hate writing negative reviews, because I'm sure running a hotel is a complicated process were a lot can go wrong along the way. But the truth is, there are too many good hotels in London to stay again at one that disappoints. F... Read more

We booked an executive room Saturday - Monday. We arrived well before check-in time of 1500, we arrived at 1200. No problem, we managed to get into a room immediately. The room, 142, on the first floor, had a disappointing view into a central void. The complimentary items in the room were of a good quality. However, there was a more comprehensive range in the room on day two! What a fantastic shower, loved it! I was disturbed during the night, 0230 - 0330, by the sound of what I thought to be ta... Had afternoon tea on Saturday 12 November. Arrived a few minutes early so waited in the bar. Shown to our table but was initially seated in the middle of the room next to another couple. Asked to be moved to a more "comfy" sofa private area. This was no problem. Menu choices fully explained. We had one without champagne and one with unlimited. Service was excellent and food very nice. Thought this was very good value and would visit again.

All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating. The decorations throughout the hotel are great. My room was quiet and the king sized bed was very comfortable. The location was quite convenient to good walks around the city. There are lots of restaurant options in addition to the ones in the hotel. The hotel is not at all new, but is well maintained. My room was fairly small, but it was furnished nicely and served the purpose for my business visit quite well. I would recommend to others and stay again, although I might ask for a room that was a bit less prone to the street noise.

Excellent hotel. Employees truly go the extra mile for their guests. From concierge, to bar employees to housekeeping employees, they all give a very positive vibe that says ''of course I can help''. Rooms are spacious (for London) and outlets are great. The bar has great cocktails and Gin Tonics for very acceptable prices. A great location, right next to the Westminster Abbey with Buckingham Palace on the other side. I have stayed in London quite a few times, but this stay was the best by far!

Conrad offered me a great accommodations and services while I was a hotel guest, because of a comfortable bed, convenient location at heart of London and professional hotel staffs. First of all, the location is right in front of the St. James Park tube station on the circle and district lines. That makes things very convenient for getting to wherever you want to go. Buy a Oyster Card and use the tube. Look for the daily caps for fees per zone and your fee per day will not exceed that cap. Now, the hotel itself is quite beautiful with lovely flowers in the lobby and bellman in the front to assist you. It feels small and private amidst the Big Ben and Westminst... Read more

I stayed here for two nights and wish I stayed for a lot longer. The Conrad brand is strong all around the world, and London is no exception. This hotel excels in customer service, and that was evident the duration of my stay here. The rooms at this hotel really impressed me. On the second night of a two day stay. I must say that this hotel just keeps improving from being already very high standard. The rooms are of course great as other reviewers have noted, but what really makes this property so special is the people and their absolute desire to deliver a great experience to guests. As a regular traveler and hospitality professional its rare to find a place you simply love because you become very critical and set the bench mark high................these guys broke through that bench mark on EVERY level!
