Stayed for 3 nights as part of an organised trip. A distinctly average hotel that does not justify its 4 star rating. Check in was chaotic with several members of our party being given incorrect rooms. Our double room was the smallest I have ever stayed in, the bed took up 80% of the available space. Wardrobe was 6 inches deep with room for just three items of clothing so we had to live out of our suitacases which provided a further obstacle to navigate. Bathroom was modern but had no shelves... We stayed overnight at this hotel on the recommendation of the tour company that we were using: we would have to leave early the next morning to catch the Eurostar to Brussels. It is very handily placed for both St Pancras and King's Cross and was reasonably priced. The welcome was fair and the room was very good - what could possibly go wrong? Well, for being handy for Eurostar, we were surprised that breakfast was not served until 7.30 a.m. which was the time that we would be leaving the hotel... Read more

This elegantly designed hotel is located a short distance from the Russell Square station. The room I stayed in was clean, with certain amenities (coffee, water, and snacks) without extra charge. The staff is courteous and very helpful. The restaurant (12 spot) offers affordable meals. The internet is included without charge. And so many things are so close: British Library, British Museum, and so many important landmarks. The staff is also multilingual. Things are handled very easily.... Read more

Had a groupon voucher for here, and had a lovely time in a nice open setting with very efficient and friendly, professional staff. Nice sandwiches, nice scones and nice cakes - enough food for 2 and very fresh. Lovely

Excellent Venue! As the organiser of the seminar I worked closely with the events team and they were extremely helpful and efficient. The food was excellent and everything ran on time! The hotel bedrooms are modern and have everything you need though the beds are a bit uncomfortable. My colleague's and I had a great time and we would definitely recommend the Ambassador!

Very comfortable bed and close to all amenities. Parked our car in Euston station and walked across so that was a nice touch for my husband and I. The reception team had our booking ready and checking lasted no more than 4 minutes x

A well furbished room, all needs provided for with comfortable beds. For country dwellers the busy road at the front of the hotel is best avoided, and there is some door use noise to tolerate. But other guests do seem reasonable and the staff attentive. Good stop for St. Pancas Railway Station

This hotel was very clean, staff friendly, and had everything required for our stay. Continental breakfast was included with the option to upgrade to full English at a cost. We felt the continental breakfast had more than enough to offer and was very good. This hotels location is excellent for a base, only 5 minutes walk from Euston station (would be about 15 mins or so from Kings Cross and St.Pancras stations). Our main reason for visit was to go to Harry Potter studios tour, it was very easy ... Read more

Stayed here for a short theatre break in London with a friend. As my friend has walking difficulties we wanted a hotel that was close to Euston as well as easy to get around to other locations. The location of this hotel was perfect, just 5 minute walk from Euston rail and tube station. There are a couple of steps up to the front of the hotel lobby but we had no difficulty once inside as there is a lift to all floors. The room itself was a twin room on the 5th floor at the front of the hotel... Read more

This is an OK hotel at a premium location. For central London prices are not that bad, but obviously expensive. A bit more attention could have been paid to the rooms, everything is really really small. My macbook air barely fits on the 'desk', there is no fridge or minibar, very few sockets and the shower is miniature in all aspects. The restaurant/bar is good. Have requested early check-in on several occasions (as I usually arrive on early am flight from Asia), but this has never worked and ... Read more

We have stayed here on three visits to London because it's conveniently placed between Euston Station (6 mins walk) and the venue for an events we have attended. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Soundproofing from outside noise is poor -- double glazing is not enough. Water pressure in the bathroom on the 5th floor was weak. We upgraded, but accommodation is 'London Prices', i.e. not good value for the product or facilities compared with the rest of the country. However, London is still a major a... Read more

For a weekend getaway this place was quite the obstacle course to conquer with the staff not expressing any concern or compensation for our feedback. 1. We could feel the coils through the matters and the was unable to get a decent nights sleep. 2. The shower kept oscillating between cold and scalding hot every 10 seconds which made that experience dangerous and unpleasant. 3. The room was a squeeze. I hit my head on the bedside table in my sleep as we were given their tiniest room. How ever... Read more

The hotel is very convenient to Euston, Kings Cross and St Pancras, so very good location, about 30 mins walk from Soho also. The hotel is probably more so a boutique hotel. The breakfast each morning was a bit hit and miss, and inconsistant as to what was available. The room was consistant with London standards, which is small to the rest of the world. There was a tiny ensuite with a frosted door, so just ensure you're comforable with getting to know your partner a little bit for intimately!... Read more

Great Location, had Afternoon tea in the restaurant which was lovely, staff extremely attentive and helpful. Check in 3pm but I was allowed to book in early as my room was ready. The room I stayed in was a deluxe room. The bed was a small double and the bed linen of a good quality with exception to my pillowcase that had numerous holes in it! The location was one of the factors of my appeal to this place. It's close to Camden(one of my favorite places to hangout), and because I'm traveling to Paris via the Eurostar, that train station is a very close north from this hotel! Very handy for Euston (2 min walk), Holborn (15 min walk) and in the middle of Bloomsbury. Clean and efficient, but bedrooms are quite spartan. Venetian blinds and plain white walls feels more like a utility room than a bedroom. No iron in room - you have to call reception. Bar small and dreary, made worse by the adjacent restaurant being closed with lights off. This is a good clean 3 * hotel, not 4*

Nice hotel in a good location for theatre land. Welcoming receptionist. Lovely bar staff. The room was clean & perfect for our short stay. I did have to request that they change our quilt cover as it had a stain but you could tell it had been laundered just unfortunate the stain remained. They did this very promptly. Great buffet breakfast. Would recommend.

Situated in a good location the Ambassadors Hotel is a prominent landmark. The rooms were incredibly small and as a tall person I found this a little claustrophobic. Facilities in the room were good but lacking iron and ironing board which is something I would expect in a modern hotel in this price range. There is free WiFi and coffee nd tea making facilities. If I had to give a grade for the hotel (from 1 the worse to 5 the best ) I will give a 3, i.e. Slightly above the medium. The position of the hotel is very good and very convenient. For a long stay , which it was in my case I won't recommend it. For a business trip ,i.e. Up to 2 days max it is ok but not for more.

The Ambassardors Bloomsbury hotel is situated in a great place not too far from the many attractions in London. The hotel has a modern feel but lacks a little of the wow factor. I feel the reception desk area should be made bigger to give a grander welcoming. I must say that this was the first time I have slept in a cup board! The bed was comfy and the room clean, but I had a corner for our small case which I had to constantly step over to get to my side of the bed. The wet room flooded the entire bathroom so that was nice when you needed to visit the loo. I can't comment on the food as we ate out. I assume the room was for those guests who only intended to stay a maximum of 2 nights as any more would have been unbearable.

It was very nice choice to stay at the hotel which is very close to Euston station and any other travel sites. However, the hotel room was to narrow and small for two of us who just married and bring so many belongings with. If it is not just a Amb Bloomsbury issue, it is okay but comparing to the room that we booked originally for this trip, Ibis london earls court, room extent was small. Otherwise, all conditions were very nice. Good breakfast, safe macro environment, traffic condition etc.

If you want a good value budget hotel then this is the place. The staff are friendly and always helpful. Since my last stay the hotel seems a little run down with some of the decor requiring attention in the general areas. The room I was given on this occasion was a single and the fact that you can touch both walls while laid in bed would mean that it can only be described as compact and bijou. Room is clean and includes the amenities you would expect of a £195 per night hotel (tea, coffee, hairdryer). The issue in room 104 appeared to be plumbing related. On entering the room there was an unpleasant odour and the bathroom drain (although the bathroom is a wet room design) was inadequate at draining water at the required rate. This meant the enter floor flooded and the shower had to be reduced to a trickle to avoid the water overflowing into the bedroom. This did not lead to the most ... Read more
