The hotel is very convenient - being across from Liverpool Lime Street Station, and with direct access to the main shopping malls in the city centre. The dock area is just a stroll through the shopping area - probably a 15 minute walk, if you don't stop to look at the shops. The hotel itself is set out well. Breakfast is served with a lovely view across to the station where you can watch the world go by. The main selling point for the hotel is the staff. Every member of staff that we came ac... Read more

Hopefully, for future guests, my experience was a one off. I booked the hotel at short notice not having been in the city centre for a while and had hoped for better. In every way this is a hotel stuck in a 1970's time warp. The nearby multi story car park ,which allows discounted parking, is above a budget chain dominated shopping mall. I would not like to have walked to and from my car if I was a female or a frail person travelling alone. The room I was in was tired but clean and comfortable.... Read more

We came to visit Liverpool in March half term to get a feel of the city as this is where my first choice uni is situated and it reminded me why I feel in love with Liverpool in the first place. This hotel is finished to an extremely high standard and service is second to none. Having lived in Liverpool for 4 years of never used or had anyone use the holiday inn. Having used it myself now I can highly recommend it. The room was nice and clean and the bed was fantastic. It didn't give me any grief and I had a decent night sleep with no back pain in the morning. The view was also from room simply gorgeous out over the main sights of the port of Liverpool you can see the liver building and such (does depend on your room though). The best Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in. The rooms were extremely clean and huge and the Starbucks area on the second floor was perfect for casual meetings. We had a group of mixed ages and disabilities staying for 2 nights. The staff could not have been more helpful and they were all so friendly (even at 6am!). The chef was very accommodating and the food was of a high standard. I would defiantly recommend this hotel to others and we will be going back.

Great central location near Lime Street Station and all the big shopping areas. Nice clean and modern hotel with big spacious rooms and friendly staff. They allowed us to leave our bags after we'd checked out and the free wifi was good. However would not stay again due to noise levels. For a Holiday Inn, this hotel doesn't follow the brand standards of other Holiday Inns, thus my conclusion that it's a franchise. Don't expect the usual Holiday Inn standards with this place. This is right across the road from Lime Street train station and on one end of St Johns shopping centre that connects to Liverpool One, so in terms of location it is fantastic. It is also near some of the older more interesting parts of this city. The rooms were comfortable and clean but alas, the hotel itself is not very attractive and arriving at the reception gives you the impression you were coming to a sports centre rather than a hotel. Wifi was free but didn't work very well.

Really good location. Hotel clean and comfortable. Lift. Very friendly and efficient staff. The restaurant was very clean, stylish and modern. Very good food. The only thing we didn't like was the food being served on slate. A nice white china plate would have been more appealing. The car park is in St. Johns Shopping Centre. Stayed for 1 night and it was fantastic. Great location next to train station, a shopping centre, bus stops and a multi storey parking (HI voucher means £6 for 24hrs.) The refurb is great, everything is modern, clean, fresh and a wonderful place to be. Wifi was great and there are a number of USB plugs in the bars and dinning areas. Food was standard HI but a solid 10/10 for what it was. The only improvement I would make is the gym. The equipment is outdated, the room is like stepping bac... Read more

The hotel was fine. Dinner and Breakfast were both tasty. I really liked the location. It was close to the water and to the shops and plenty of sights. Overall, it's nothing fancy but it was clean and comfortable and in a perfect spot.

I was in business room for 3 nights on top floor. Room was freezing , there was a note to contact reception for resetting the thermostat in case u find the room cold. Also, wifi was not working ( it was working on ground and other floors ! ) I called and requested reception to reset the temperature for my room and informed about the wifi problem. They gave very vague answers and offerer no help / solution. They were not bothered. Very disappointed with the attitude.

Prices reflect the rooms - a bit tired and old. No shampoo etc in bathroom. TV small and remote was not working well + no self room temp control. Hot water took ages to come on. Staff were super friendly and came and helped out when we requested. However good location to Liverpool tourist locations.

From the moment we arrived we were made feel so welcome. The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We even able to check in earlier than the 15:00 time due to our room already been cleaned and ready for us - the only good thing about a flight delay LOL we were due to arrive at about 11:30 but got there after 12:30. Our room was so comfy and clean and it had some great views across the city. You could the Liver Building from the window which was lovely. We even had a view of t... Read more

Great location, pleasant hotel which appears to be fairly new. Bureaucracy can get in the way of customer comfort. Not enough lighting in the room, room cold and did not warm up even though staff tried to fix it. Wifi did not work at all. Advised management but I was told no one else has a problem and I could talk to the internet provider if I wanted to. car park let the hotel down - that's when you can find it.

I've stayed in this hotel on several occasions, it is my first choice when staying in Liverpool. It's right across from the main train station and close to all of the best shopping, restaurants, and pubs in Liverpool. The hotel is clean and comfy, and the staff are always accommodating. The breakfast in the morning could be a little better, but it has a very good selection. Overall I have to say this is a great hotel.

A nice place to stay, central location, quiet and clean. The best part of our two days there was the staff! By far, some of the friendliest and most helpful staff I have ever encountered. There was a problem with how our room was paid for (by a third party), while we paid for meals and extras....but it was all accommodated by front desk with no fuss. The woman who greeted us and ran the dining room in the morning was perfect; funny and engaging. I can't say enough about all of them. Good bre... Read more

Stayed in this hotel for three nights mid-week with a group on a visit to the UK. Location: Not great as it isn't in a nice area and its a 10-15 minute walk to Liverpool One and the waterfront. It isn't straightforward to get to by car either, however, it's very convenient for Lime Street Station. Parking: Very good - close to a multi-storey and the hotel has parking for one coach outside the front door, which was excellent for us. Check-in and out: Things didn't start off well when we arrived ... Read more

This hotel is directly opposite Lime Street station, and therefore is well located for dropping bags, etc. - although it's a short walk to Liverpool's main attractions. Reception welcome is prompt and efficient, breakfast good quality with cheery staff. Rooms are clean and comfortable - typical Holiday Inn. It's a good choice to stay on business - not sure I'd chose it as a base for a romantic getaway, as it's a corporate hotel that delivers its brand values with little charm - but what it doe... We stayed here as 2 couples for 2 nights in October 2016. Our stay was for leisure and to go and explore Liverpool and take in the culture. The hotel was lovely. Staff were very nice and accommodating and the rooms were fabulous. We had a twin room which was huge. The beds were Queen size and we had a dressing area. It was really lovely and in a great location. Would definitely book there next time. Thanks for looking after us.

Check in was a performance, with the receptionist initially unable to find the booking. It wasn't so much the delay in finding the reservation, it was the poor attitude. The location was great as it was near to all the amenities, with a coffee house next door where we took breakfast each morning. The one drawback was that there were no accessible rooms and as it was difficult to get into the bath for a shower. The only way we could have a shower was to use the gym every morning, which meant going downstairs or in the public lift in our nightclothes. I was staying at the hotel for a conf... Read more
