The venue of this hotel is excellent. Sitting in the corner of the Albert Dock it offers superb views across the Mersey and easy access to the bars restaurants and shops around the dock and surrounding area. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The receptionists are lovely. Breakfast amounts to the usual fare of cereal, toast and pastries juice and two coffee machines. These were regularly malfunctioning during my week long business stay. The cooked breakfast is buffet style and curiou... Read more

Having just returned from the Holiday Inn Express at the Albert Dock I wish to say that it was a very good stay in a great location. Our room was light and airy, very clean and well maintained. The breakfast which was included was fresh and plentiful.Easy walking to all the main attractions and we would recommend the 2pm city walk. This take you around Albert Dock and into the Liver Building,Cunard Building and the Port of Liverpool building.Well with the visit.

This hotel is perfectly located in the Albert Dock and if you ask for a room facing the Liver Building then it tops off any stay as the view of an evening is fantastic. The breakfast is not 5 star but perfect for a quick grab and go and you are literally on the doorstep of the city and as many eating places as you could hope for

Built in old dock warehouse the look and feel of the room was a little different. The staff where friendly and helpful, providing discount cards for local restaurants. There where two lifts but one was not working during stay, using the stairs was an easy alternative. As conference provided breakfast only used hotel breakfast on one day, the plates where small and fruit not fresh. Also coffee machine missed the cup. Overall ok as a base for visiting Liverpool

I would say this is the best holiday inn express I have stayed in its location is right on the dockside . The use of an existing building makes it unique .clean rooms and breakfast was really good and having locally supplied sausages give a great taste to the cooked breakfast as in some places the sausage has been tasteless might be an idea to roll this out across all your hotels. Really helpful staff and nothing was a problem thank you for a wonderful stay

We stayed here for two nights in May 2016. Once we found reception we went to our room. Room was very nice and clean. Good view out of our window to the docks. Out side the room was a very large hallway and at night when the party girls came home after 12.30am you could hear all what they had to say. Maybe look at more sound proof doors. Breakfast was good, no comlaints. The only complaint we have is when we were booking out Denise at reception failed to mention a half marathon was being ... Read more

Visited this hotel end of May 2016 for a holiday. The location is okay but there are plenty of other hotels around. Rooms are okay but they need more people cleaning the rooms, dust under the bed, or making the bed. Breakfast is okay but you should wash the spoon cristal clean. For those carrying valuables, the rooms are not equiped with safe deposit box so you should carry around your passport etc. Parking space is plenty at $15 per 24 hours.

Booked a 3-night stay from 8.06.16 and guided to hotel by satnav. As no rooms on ground floor, were allocated a room on 2nd floor where Reception is located. All staff polite and courteous. Ample free breakfast with wide choice. Albert Dock is a lively area and we managed to do and see most nearby attractions inc. a cruise on the Mersey, open-topped bus tour and much else besides. All-in-all, hotel stay was excellent.

Hotel is conveniently located near the Beatles Story museum with easy access to Echo arena and all of the venues in the dock area. Rooms are relatively inexpensive. Room was spacious, clean, and quiet and breakfast was good. What impressed me the most was the helpful, friendly staff. Didn't get the desk clerk's name but she went the extra mile by carrying luggage to the ground floor when both elevators broke on the afternoon we departed. Recommend!

Our room looked directly onto the Albert Dock and to the Museum of Liverpool. Large spacious room and what you would expect from a Holiday Inn. Check in and out was quick and stress free. Breakfast was included but that is what let our stay down. It was a help yourself and clear away after. So the tables weren't cleaned. Imaginative refurbishment of what was obviously an industrial building, but once you're in your room or the restaurant area, you could be in any Holiday Inn Express, so that was a disappointment. This hotel is on the banks of the River Mersey and next to the Beatles Story. It is also very well served by numerous pubs and restaurants on Albert Dock. The most impressive aspect is how the old building has been used and incorporated into the hotel - as a result all the rooms have lovely ceilings and many of the old doors remain. We were in Room 328. My sister and her husband were on the 4th floor and their room was also lovely with a great view. The... Read more

Fantastic location on Albert dock. No need for a car. Took a taxi from the Train. Everything is in walking distance. Very unique hotel. Rooms are dated, beds are small. Largest bed is a Double, get 2 twins! It was VERY Hot while we were there. Rooms do not have A/C. Old windows only open about 3 inches. Got a fan from the front desk. Fire alarm in one restaurant in Albert dock complex evacuated entire area. ALL hotels and shops and restaurants had to evacuate for around 30 minutes.

Hotel is right next to the Albert Dock and forms part of the old warehouse buildings. An unwelcome arrival due to the fact you walk into an empty entrance hall and have to find your way up to the second floor to reception, which reminded me of entering a semi deserted youth hostel! The lifts are dreadfully slow!! I think the hotel gets great reviews because of where it is. In reality, rooms are basically comfortable but very hot, stuffy and quite airless. Minimal breakfast but it's ok if you lik... Read more

We booked into room 236 for three nights, with a superb view of the Mersey waterfront and Echo Arena and wheel. The hotel is 2 buildings away from 2nd part of Beatles story and a few blocks away from the 1st part at the ferries building. The hotel is a ten minute walk from the city centre, but has great surroundings in the Albert dock, which itself has plenty to offer with bars, entertainment and eateries. Hotel staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful The hotel itself is very tidy. Much bet... Read more

Stayed here in connection with a conference at the nearby ACC in September 2016. The location at the historic and atmospheric Albert Dock is great and within walking distance to the city centre. The room was clean and comfortable and the brick wall gave it a rustic and cosy feel. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly throughout my stay.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed this year, We always stay when we are staying over in Liverpool for an occasion this one being my Birthday. Great location for bars and restaurants, staff really friendly. Rooms are clean and we like the authentic brick of the old building it used to be. Can't say much more than ideal place to stay in Liverpool at a reasonable price.

Stayed here for a night and hotel moved our room to a dock facing one when asked. Really good location and nice rooms. Only slight issue was the pillows, described as one soft (think they meant thin) and one firm. One was like a biscuit the other a rock. The rooms are also quite warm but the bed was comfortable and the hotel is clean. Breakfast is just ok. They really need new coffee machines though. Someone was clearly having a party the night we were there with loud music til 2.30am but nothi... Read more

I stayed at this hotel for one night. The room I was offered after checking in was not up to standard. The bed was awful! The mattress had s big dip in the middle which made for a very uncomfortable lying position. Fair play to the hotel, I complained and was swiftly moved to a different room. I just feel that when paying £175 for a room it should be right first time. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms themselves are finished to a low standard. I know it's an express ho... Read more

Had great weekend in Liverpool with a friend, would stay here again as position was fab. Twin bed room 323 overlooking dock and opposite premier inn. Only gripe was noise from deliveries from 7:30am to opposite hotel on the Saturday morning. Had to have window open as friend was feeling a bit green from night before .Beds comfy and breakfast was good. Could do with two toasters as it was in demand.

From when we arrived we were made very welcome and even had a disabled parking space right outside the hotel. Our room was a twin one, very clean and comfortable beds and our view looked out towards the arena and the big wheel. All the bars and eating places are a few minuets walk away plus the Albert dock is just behind the hotel also the pier head is an easy stroll away. What a beautiful building to stay in, it is so very well renovated, beautiful brick work, the staff were so friendly and helpful and the rooms were a good size and were very clean with a great view of the Mersey. The area is situated in a convenient walking distance for the city, the ACC, bus tours, water ferries and wonderful museums, greatly recommended.

People celebrating before marriage it was noisy as they come in drunk most of the night. The sevice and management is excellent and very helpful but consider when not to go and stay there otherwise this would be a great hotel

Had a one night stop off in Liverpool on way to Scotland from Dorset. The staff were friendly, rooms were clean and tidy and still had features of old dock land buildings. Breakfast was included which hopefully catered for all tastes although only downside was the toast machine, there was a label saying not to change dial or put through bread again but the bread just came out hardly toasted but otherwise our trip was enjoyable. Hoping to visit again in the near future and would stay here again... Read more

Great spot for the Echo and a multi story carpark. Although there is a carpark not far away which is £4 per day. Not too far to walk into Liverpool 1. Nice place that was a warehouse back in the day. The lobby is strange with no one about so felt uncomfortable late at night, anyone could wander in. Our radiator wasnt working but the corridors and lounge area was warm. Breakfast was disappointing, only choice of cooked was rubbery scrambled egg, sauages and beans. Overall a good place to be but... Read more

Rooms item to the usual good standard of Holiday Inns. Unusual design with high vaulted ceilings as it is a converted warehouse. Lifts are slow. Breakfast has a good choice, but no bacon. Location is good if attending events at the ACC Liverpool.

My wife and me stayed two nights at the end of October and would definitely return. The staff were very helpful and especially so when it came to parking the car; they have a small number of bays for blue badge holders which are provided on a first come/served basis. Although there are car parks across the road, the closeness of these bays ensures those with mobility problems are catered for. The only gripe I've got is the beds [mattresses] had little support but that is a personal thing and not... Read more

The hotel is on the Albert dock. This was a work trip, it is not obvious where you are supposed to park a car. You have to pay £15 to park near the hotel, or you get a discounted price at the Echo Arena. The reception is on the 2nd floor, check-in was simple. The hotel is an interesting shape with many original building features retained. There are great views from many places (pity the windows are not clean). The room was quiet and dark, although there was some noise from the corridor. The fre... Read more

Great Location . Friendly staff. Comfortable clean rooms but DO NOT BUY into the Breakfast. There was a clue as to how bad it would be when the ONLY plates on offer to eat breakfast are tiny SIDE PLATES!!! The Scrambled egg (only egg on offer) was terrible.. POWDERED, tasteless, runny, watery and just unpleasant and inedible! Sausages were bread with a little meat... just passable on the first morning as there was nothing else to eat..No Bacon ?? The room follows the same design as the Docklands building and has an attractive quirkiness. It was spacious, warm, clean, and had a fine view of the dock.
