A group of 4 of us needed somewhere cheap to stay for 2 nights, on the outside it served its purpose, cheap and cheerful. The bedsheets were clean, there was a tv and tea/coffee making facilities and it was nice and warm, (but couldn't fill up the kettle as there was no cold water). However, the first room we stayed in there was no hot water in the shower and no water in the toilet. We asked for this to be fixed for the second night, but alas the same problems occurred. The guy serving was very ... Read more

I found this hotel to be just great. It did exactly what I expected and did it well. Its not a luxury establishment, but my room was very clean and reasonably equipped, everything worked, the bed was clean and comfortable, the staff were helpful and friendly and I had a very good breakfast. I admit it doesn't look much from the outside and Reception is a bit of a shock, but I have to say that I have paid far more for far less pleasant hotel experiences than I received here.

This hotel is clean and comfortable. ....if your looking for a five star you need to pay more than thirty quid a night ! Nice little Indian restaurant across the road it's in a central location and was a nice little break, we will be booking again.

Basic, reasonably clean, bed was uncomfortable, no hot water first morning and then when I complained there was a trickle later! They clearly have a problem with hot water to some of the rooms! It might be cheapish, but I won't be booking again, unless I'm really desperate!

No hot water Beds are majorly uncomfortable Place looks derelict from the outside Stains on the carpets Wallpaper peeling off in the corridors and in the rooms No housekeeping whatsoever Empty pizza boxes left on the landing for 2 days Dirty towels left on the landing for 2 days after they were thrown out of the rooms by other guests Surprised I'm still alive and haven't caught Ebola from the place!

Worst hotel I have stayed in no hot water dirty bed dirty room dirty towels absolutely disgusting. I did not expect much with it only been 30 pounds for the night but what I got was unacceptable for a hotel. The bed was very uncomfortable and the other guests were very loud. Old tv in the room which was a yellow picture. Hotel in need of renovation ASAP

Room was comfortable enough, but wasn't serviced over a two night stay. Kettle did not work, though was very quickly replaced. Reception was never manned, always boarded off. Good wifi signal, on the plus side.

I needed a hotel at short notice and plumped for this hotel. It was only costing £30 per night so wasn't expecting much, and wow was I not disappointed! The room was clean but tatty, and with old TV and kettle. Main problem was no hot water and therefore cold shower. On the plus side it woke me up! Reception always blocked up and door open 24 hrs with no security. Some of the doors near fire escape have been smashed open in the past. For the price I can't complain too much.

I usually try not to stay in hotels that don't have atleast semi-decent reviews but this one was priced OK and I didn't think it would be this bad to be honest. It's quite a drive from the motorway - long and winding roads / too many roundabouts. We booked two rooms, both doubles (1 twin beds and another double bed). The double bed -- room was very teeny. Extremely teeny bathroom as well. The double bed - twin room was a bit better. Cleanliness was ok, there was dust in the corners and ... Read more

Very basic accommodation, room was clean. There was a kettle and a television. I couldn't wash with hot water as there wasn't any and it was a struggle to get the toilet to flush. The bed was a bit springy but I did sleep.

You shouldn't expect too much for £40 for 2 people so don't be too surprised if things are a little rough around the edges. The room was clean but smelled a little of damp and the bed wasn't overly comfortable. We only stayed one night but were happy enough with what we got for our money and would consider staying again. The room had a TV and kettle but no hairdryer and there is a large free car park behind the hotel. It is very handy for Mallory Park, just 2 miles away.

I have stayed in a few cheap and cheerful hotels in my time, and at least this one was cheap! Arrived to find the 'receptionist' in the back office with his feet up wearing a grubby t-shirt and jeans, he gave me my key and told me some very complex directions as to where my room was, as it had no number it was a 'suite' what passes as a suite is most people's idea of a normal hotel room, I felt sorry for the other guests, after getting unpacked I went to ask when breakfast was served as I had bo... Do not waste your money by booking this hotel. We booked an Exceutive room thinking it would be a treat. The room was no way what it should have been. No staff around to complain to. The pictures off this hotel are not true. It is dirty and dingy. On bar or restaurant either not that we would have eaten there. Could not wait to leave. We tried to book else where but all the places we tried were fully booked so had not choice butto stay or sleep in out car.

Hotel directions were a bit misleading but that was the fault of the AA . We got to the hotel at 3.00 pm and checked in ,needed an oxygen mask to get to the room and when we got into the room I was really disappointed ,it was cold and the décor needed updating broken radiator and tv was out of Noah`s Ark .did not have breakfast here because I thought it was expensive for £7.50 each especially when the room cost £39.The location was good as it`s in the middle of the village

Bed had a hard edge which was uncomfortable, but otherwise OK. A bit noisy around 2130-2200 and 0630-0730. Car park was outside a rear access door, which apparently cannot be used, making a long walk necessary. Some stairs had no handrail, entrance doors were very stiff. Main room light did not work (bulb blown?), washbasin had no plug. No diabetic sweetener provided. £45 for single room was OK, but the advertising implies a lower rate. Television small and did not work (instructions might help... Read more
