We stayed here after the rugby on a Sunday night. The room was adequate although the bathroom could have been cleaner. At night you can hear the noise of the traffic on the road below, even though we were on the fourth floor.

It isn't easy to find the first time and the car parking is a little limited but it is a nice clean hotel with super 'front office' personnel, a room with all that you need for a comfortable overnight stay and the option of a good cooked breakfast in the morning. It certainly met my two standard checks - clean public toilets and almost instant hot water in the bathroom. I actually stayed there for 2 nights after Christmas and, because I enjoyed my stay, I stayed another night after New Year. It ... Read more

ITS A GREAT PLACE TO STAY dont get me wrong we will stay here again, we can't fault front of house staff, helpful, friendly, lovely people. The revamped rooms are so much better and well thought out. But leaving the building stuff on the stairs with the builders trainers is not great! We are always ones to try the food just incase its a gem like the Campville which was amazing for the price but the burger I had was not worth the £10.95 looked like one from a kebab shop and tasted worse. Should ... Read more

Good location within walking distance of the town and train station. Parking is very limited at the hotel with the staff taking up much of the space. Room are what you would expect from an Ibis, functional without being luxurious. Parking is the biggest issue, quite difficult in Leicester anyway particularly if you want to stay over one night.

As others have pointed out this hotel can be a little difficult to find. You would be best putting in Constitution Hill and its entrance is the first on the right. It is likely that you will spot the Mercedes Benz show room or Matrix House before you see the hotel. The entrance is below street level, down a flight of steps. The reception area, which is also the bar and the breakfast area is nice but functional. The lift to the rooms required the room fob to be inserted and it always seems to st... Read more

Arrived Saturday afternoon, no parking available on site, drove around looking until I found some, staff unhelpful when asked. Room was clean modern and basic, shower excellent. Bed was comfortable, although busy hotel wasn't to noisy later on. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced.

Hotel close to train station and the town , all walking distance to the university which is why we stayed here. Staff were all very friendly and helpful , however the room we had was very dated and the shower room was like one you would have in a caravan . Saying that it was a great shower though . Personally I would have preferred to pay more and stay in the premier inn which was closer to the station but full when we booked. The hotel is on he process of renovation and I'm sure it will be much... Read more

Stayed for business. Clean rooms. But breakfast is overpriced and poor quality. No complimentary coffee for residents. They actually charged for black coffee even though we payed over 100 quid per room!

The room was very basic with only 1 pillow each, there was 1 spare, which makes absolutely no sense when there are 2 people staying, they are made aware of before you arrive so theres no reason not to give 2 spare pillows. We received an email to say that the hotel was undergoing refurbishment in certain parts of the hotel, so we expected that they would utilise the rooms furthest away from it so that the guests weren't woken by workmen, apparently not, we were woken up by banging in the room ... Arrived to discover that my double room was in fact a twin disability room and it being very cold. Room overlooked a main road and whilst this is to be expected in a city hotel the windows were not good enough to provide much sound insulation. Shower floor flexed under foot to such an extent that I thought I'd fall through. Also had a bad smell in the shower room as if the shower drain was partly blocked. Very limited free parking spaces. Being a basic hotel room was clean, a choice of bland ... Read more
