Staff friendly and very helpful. Hotel close to railway station, city centre, sports grounds museums, coach station and bus routes. Clean and well organised facilities. If you are arriving on foot there are some steps to be negotiated. it is quite a long walk to and through the car park if you can not manage the steps to enhance. If you arrive by car not an issue. Otherwise very wheelchair and disabled friendly. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend for a short stay.

Close walking distance to the city centre. The hotel & rooms were clean & a good standard for the price. The shower room was a pod in the bedroom, not a traditional room. The car park is tiny, about 25 spaces, plan to park else where!

Booked the Ibis for a 1 night stay ( leicester City Tour bus). The rates are very good, the staff friendly and efficient. Whilst the parking appears to be limited it is secure. The location is good for the city centre/station etc. The bar is reasonable and the breakfast excellent value. The rooms are functional , clean and spacious togther with free wifi throughout , recommended and would use again.

We stayed for one night for the Leicester champions parade. The five rating is based on expectations; it's a two star and so don't expect swimming pools and fine dining etc. What it does brilliantly is provide modern, clean rooms, good service, and a nice bar/cafe. For £60 you can't say fairer than that - two minutes from the station and centre of town.

I had no choice to stay here as it was a company booking for one night and I would say that I will not stay here again. First the good points; the wifi worked and the staff were very pleasant and polite. The bad was the room. It was cheap and nasty, smelt of smoke (fag burns on window sill outside!), carpet was filthy from wear (kept shoes on whole time), bed was way too soft to get a decent night sleep, the temperature was too hot to sleep anyway, the "cooling system" did not work and with the ... I had a ground floor room which was spacious and clean. The breakfast was good quality and set e up for my day and the staff were very friendly and very helpful Nothing was too much bother. Throughly recommend - city centre and station just a short stroll away

Very good, very clean, great staff and very friendly. Slept well and felt comfortable. The air conditioning and heating was broken though. But that doesn't put the waiting down because I thought the room was excellent.

Expected noise as our room overlooked the main road. It was sooo quiet! And dark, and a comfy bed! Great shower. Spotlessly clean too. Tea/coffee, good wifi.5 mins from the station. Not impressed with the brekkie for £8.95. Waited 15 mins for bacon to be filled up by which time Id finished anyway. Would recommend the hotel. Maybe not the breakfast!!

Stayed for 2 nights - reception staff so rude - dismissive & non- communicative. Rooms really dated & carpets felt sticky. And there was a dog in the corridor. Overall it was not a great experience & would not recommend. If the staff could smile & be a bit more responsive that would help.

I really liked my stay here. Nice simple place, no frills but not "cheap" either. Really appreciated the air con in the room as the road noise would have been pretty intrusive with the window open. Location is a funny one - sort of on its own split from the city by the ring road - however just 5 minutes' walk in almost any direction gets you to some nice bars and restaurants. Would very happily stay here again!

I stayed here last night whilst travelling for business it is just a short walk from the station and easy to find. The staff were very friendly and accommodating I didn't check in till near 10:00pm and they made me something to eat with no hesitation which was a good meal. The rooms were clean and tidy and breakfast was nice with a good variety. I would stay here again.

I stayed here for one night and was pleasantly surprised. The room was a decent size, nice clean bathroom, very good power shower and the bed was more comfortable than other more expensive hotels I have stayed in. Only downside was that the aircon did not work and the room was very hot during the night, it was a bit noisy from the busy road below to leave the window open. Had I been staying longer than one night I would have contacted reception to try to resolve but I as it was such a short s... Read more

We stayed here for two nights to go to a wedding in town. The rooms were a good size, and although basic, were perfectly clean and reasonable. Not the quietest hotel if there are lots of late night returning guests, but if you ask for a room at the end of the corridor it wouldn't be a problem. Breakfast buffet was limited but fine.

Hotel slightly older than many UK Ibis., Location great near train station and walking distance of Richard III. Rooms of good size. Common area fairly large. Staff somewhat frazzled as maybe they are not trained that well? (eg bar guy couldn't find the vodka although it was right in front of him).

Hotel had about 10 parking spaces for the entire hotel, which were of course all full! They directed us to a station car park where we had to pay £13.50/day. Then they ran out of food (Friday night, 7pm). Room overlooked a busy main road into Leicester and the sound proofing was hopeless - we could even here people returning at 11:30pm three floors below, even with the window shut! The room was also very hot, with no way of getting any cool air into the room without opening the window (which w... Read more

I enjoyed the location and service from staff but perhaps, something can be done to ensure a proper a/c is in the rooms rather than the one installed which I have found is tricky to operate everytime I stay in an Ibis and was the same experience this time around

Had a great six nights in this Leicester hotel - a superb location minutes from the station and city centre and also handy for the Queen's Road and Stoneygate areas. Staff were brilliant and room and other facilities great. Certainly it would be at or near the top of my list for any future stay there.

When my company booked an Ibis hotel for my stay in Leicester I was not thrilled!!! The room was clean and tidy with all amenities you would expect. The bathrooms are standard Ibis style wet rooms. The breakfast had a lot more choice than I expected with hot food and pastries. I under estimated the value I thought I was going to get.

Room was nice but no air conditioning, open the window for some air then noise of trains or vehicles. Also some inconsiderate person smoking in the room setting fire alarm off TWICE . I would have kicked them out. Hence very little sleep. Staff not up to standard, tables left uncleared for long time. Reception , no how was your stay etc. Meals and drinks too expensive. Won't be back.

It's a standard prefab hotel, functional but not comfortable. Very noisy with window open as there is no air con, car park is ridiculously small thus permanently full. Ok for an overnight stay, it's right in the city centre and close to the station but that's about it

My husband and I stayed 1 night, and thankfully it was only 1 night. On arrival it was really hot, like a sweat box...in our room, we asked for someone to fix air conditioning, as I wouldn't be able to sleep. Someone went to our room while we went to a show, apparently air conditioning worked fine, it needed to reach 21 degrees before kicking in....so they gave us a fan. A load of poop!! It was well above 21 degrees, we couldn't have window open due to noise, and the fans as the noisiest I've he... Read more

We were booked into the Ibis Leicester City Center and were a little reticent about our expectations and, we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly and professional (some more than others). After reviewing photos online, we were unsure that a baby cot was going to fit into the rooms. We requested a baby cot on the off chance that one might be available and would fit. We found our room to be quite spacious and a baby cot already waiting for us. Our room was simple, clean and comf... Read more

I've stayed before once in other Ibis hotel so this time I know what I can expect. Good location, comfortable bed, friendly staff and nice breakfast that is all what you need for business stay. Definitely ask for one looking over the train station, not the road, as this is quieter

I chose the Ibis having tried other hotels previously with not much success. My son is at Leicester University so it is a bit of a walk but coming by train it is very close and only a 10 minute walk to the center of Leicester. The room was a double facing the railway line. The windows kept out all the noise but it did make the room a little warm. That said I had no problem sleeping with the window open. Breakfast was much better than I expected with a full service. The bar was also useful which ... Read more

The hotel was pretty decent, however, returning in my room during my stay one afternoon I found out that a large plastic bag full of my toiletries, which add up to a significant monetary value, had 'disappeared' from the bathroom where I left it. The hotel staff did no more than trying to contact the independent cleaning services without any outcome, and going through the camera footage without any outcome either. Unacceptable.

Poor decoration let the hotel down. The breakfast is OK but the rooms are poorly decorated and the beds are hard and uncomfortable. The shower was good but there was a funny smell from the ensuite and the road noise was slightly intrusive. Wouldn't recommend it at all.

I stayed here on business. The room smelt very fusty and looked rather tired. The bedroom squeaked so much it was impossible to sleep each turn left a mighty squeak, my room was situated right behind the train station so from 4.30am I was woken with the sound of trains coming in and out. Food/bar was good, great taste and very reasonable priced. Very limited car parking for a hotel of this size and a decent walk to a pay and display and considering I left the next day at 6am it was rather unc... Read more

Very nice, clean hotel in good location just a short walk across to town about 5-10 minutes. Nice and friendly staff, good choice at breakfast. A spacious room with good amenities and luxury shower. The only downfall is the rock hard bed which is extremely difficult to sleep in. Would put me off staying here again because of this.

Well another short business trip and another stay in another hotel. What can I say about it other than it's an Ibis. It was available and cheap for a short stay. Free car parking - plus easy check in Nothing fancy wanted but minimum was air conditioning was a must for the hot day we had, it was a blessed relief! It's not that I ever have high expectations from Ibis, but I always feel let down. Welcome was fine, the bar staff were fine. The rooms are stark and the bathroom is almost identical in size to that on an aeroplane. The beds are not comfortable. Incredibly noisy rooms, which ok, I accept. It's City Centre. The breakfast is not good, at all. Powdered egg which is rancid. Fat filled sausages, and V weak Coffee. 15 parking spaces You get what you pay for.
