We stayed last Saturday night, travelled in hope to watch Swansea City ruin the party, witnessed abject surrender to hand LCFC the title...but that's another story.. The room was spacious, fully adequate for our needs, bed comfortable, bathroom absolutely fine. The staff were all courteous & helpful and the was a nice lounge / bar to have a drink. Ideal for visiting the KingPower stadium - literally 50m away! Breakfast was just ok - cereals, croissants etc, toast machine was a bit of a fire /... Read more

Disappointing delivery from the Leicester branch of this hotel chain......rooms were fine, the standard you would expect and a comfy bed. But the reception staff were certainly lacking enthusiasm to out it politely. And breakfast was a real disappointment - very limited choice - cooked breakfast consisted of poor quality sausages, beans and scrambled eggs. No bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms etc. No yoghurts. Fruit salad = tinned mandarins. Coffee machine didn't work properly. Fruit juice syrup... Read more

A solid option for a midweek business trip, in this case a conference at the stadium, at a modest rate. Clean room, comfortable bed, wifi, a good night's sleep... The only thing I would add, is to agree with some of the comments that the breakfast isn't fantastic - but it is OK.

Staff checked us in fast and efficient and were able to help with changing room siting for my colleague. They were both friendly and helpful. Room was plain but clean with comfy bed. Liked idea of ironing room at end of corridor on the floor I was on. Plenty of parking which was free. Only grouse was that the free wifi wasn't particularly quick hence mark but Leicester has 4G so not a problem for me.. Breakfast (included) was fine tho I would have preferred bacon instead of sausage and you could... Read more

Stayed here for one night before a business meeting at the football stadium. It is adjacent to the stadium, so was ideal for me. Free parking on site. Seamless check-in. Free wifi. Comfortable, clean bed with good linen. Tea and coffee in the room. Free view in room. Bar service in the evening. Restaurant adjacent to hotel - so no need to leave premises. Breakfast basic with selection of pastries, toast, yoghurt as well as scrambled egg, beans and sausages. Juice, tea and coffee. More than adequ... Read more

Stayed here for one night with 3 mates to watch Kasabian at the King Power Stadium. I had a shared room with two single beds which were clean and very comfortable. Bathroom was spotless. Unfortunately we missed out on breakfast due to a very later night. The staff were extremely helpful and also a good laugh!! Strongly recommend and definitely would stay here again!!

Even though it was fully booked and absolutely heaving, the staff were still very professional and found time to explain and help us in every possible way. Unfortunately we didn't know at the time of booking that a popular band was playing at LCFC, which is not even a foot away from the hotel. The car park was a mess, which was not really their fault. Must say though the rooms are pretty much sound proof!! Rooms were clean and breakfast was simple but hot and just right.

This is a basic hotel for a basic stay. No frills. Rooms comfy and enough room. Stayed for a business meeting the next day at walker stadium. Check in took some time as one person on and queue at the bar. Check out quick. Some colleagues went to the bar for a night cap and they had run out of wine glasses. Breakfast was very basic. Sausage egg and beans pastries and cereals. You get what you pay for. I have no complaints about the hotel and would stay again

We came up for a family party. Room is basic and desperately needs a duvet cover on the 2nd duvet but you can't beat it for value. Overnight stay in a hotel with a bar for 4 for £99 is great value and as many wifi codes as you need - we used 6. Would come again and ask for a cover next time.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Filbert Street which is adjacent to Leicester City Football Club. It has a great central location and there is no parking charge for hotel guests. Recently stayed for one night and although spent little time in the hotel everything was just as you need it and nothing you don't. Simple friendly check in, clean tidy room, very quiet, good shower, free decent internet and breakfast and a friendly team off staff on reception and in the bar. Good location over looking the King Power Stadium and free parking. Honestly what not to like. If in the area again would defiantly stay again.

Location is a little out of town but my offie isn't too far away this side of town so no issue. Usually Holiday Inn - same layout and standards. Recently built so modern and spacious inside with good size desk and wifi. Breakfast was good albeit more limited on choices than usual, I didn't do dinner there though. It's only a 20 min walk into town and you can do so up the tow path on the river so why would you? Lots of great places to eat in the centre. Good for business and if you get a good... Read more

Stayed here along with 100's of other people during the Rugby World cup. Impressed had a view of the King Power Stadium less impressed when they started testing the public announcement system at 8:00 in the morning but not the hotels fault. Restaurant attached to the hotel had the worst service I have ever come across had to serve ourselves so we all drank a lot. Better on match day more organised. Easy walk into main land Leicester and there is a Nanados on the way back. Would stay again.

Stayed at this hotel for one night on business. Easy check in. Comfortable, clean room. Sofa bed in the room so made it comfortable to relax and watch TV. Very comfortable bed, good nights sleep. Breakfast was ok, self service and provided just what I needed Paid upfront on check in so checking out was not a problem. Car park was busy but was able to find a space. Good value for money.

Positioned next to the King Power stadium, it is normally a quiet hotel much used by business people, but when Leicester City are at home it can be extremely busy. It is only a pleasant 20 minute walk into the city centre along the canal. In the opposite direction it is five minutes from a cinema / food complex. Don't stay here if you want bacon with your breakfast as only Sausage is offered.

I had no Expectations since it was a Holiday Inn but it impressed. The hotel was decent. Whilst there were some things that may be of concern to some, the room was big enough and clean. It was sufficient for staying 1 night. Plus its right next to the Kings Power Stadium and lucky I checked out before a game. Can only imagine the situation during Match time.

Room was comfortable apart from the A/C being noisy, kept awake whole night. Torn carpet behind the sofa didn't bother me, but thought i'll mention it. Breakfast was not clean. I know its only HI express, but common, cutlery dirty, plates had food marks on them, scrambled egg dry on the sides in the serving dish & very cheap sausage. Booked 2 nights for 2 adults and 2 children. Room was a nice size and clean. Breakfast was ok but can be improved. It was quite noisy and you can hear a lot of road noise. For people who want to go to the game this is a perfect and ideal location, but for anyone who is passing by or visiting the area just be aware on match days the road is close before and after the game Overall hotel is OK.

Stayed here as an emergency booked at he last minute following a very unexpected family bereavement. It was on the only hotel with vacancies in the local area and the price shown online was £234 for 2 nights. When checking in, the receptionist asked for my card and said £95 (which I presume was the 1 night rate), when I said I had booked for 2 nights she said oh that's right £234. This hotel has to be quite possibly the worst hotel I have ever had the displeasure of staying in. For £40 a night, I wasn't expecting anything near standard, but this hotel clearly doesn't understand the need for basic hygiene standards. The mattress was paper thin, and covered in brown stains, the shower room was full of hairs, the mirror was grubby and to top it all off I woke up with bite marks on my body, it doesn't take a genius to figure where they came from. This is a fairly standard express by Holiday Inn. The beds are comfortable and the rooms clean. The staff were extremely helpful. However, the sound proofing in this building is very poor indeed. I could hear every door bang, toilet flush, television and children running up and down the corridor. Noises from out on the street were also a big disturbance. Given that the hotel is not cheap, I wouldn't recommend it.

I have previously stated in HI Express hotels and they have been average. This was far better. So clean and fresh. The staff very friendly. Within 20 paces of the football stadium where I was to attend a conference so couldn't be more handy. Restaurant next door was exceedingly reasonably priced Blues Bar and Grill. The rooms were functional as was the bathroom. Shame no bath however the shower had good pressure unlike many hotels. Would definitely stay again

We were just travelling through on our way to Manchester and decided to stay here. Nice newer building. Somewhat slow on checking in but manager was more than helpful in the AM when my wife missed the breakfast by a few minutes. Close to downtown and if you are a football fan, it's right across the road. I'd stay again if in the city.
