As diamond Hilton members we are usually upgraded. The hotel was very busy and the 2 largest rooms were booked. However, the room we were in was very large and spacious and on the ground floor. I didn't see any lifts, so I was very glad not to have been on the second floor.

Stayed on a business trip not from choice but couldn't get another hotel in Leicester as it was celebration time in the City due to the Football team winning the Premiership, great vibe around the hotel from staff as even non football lovers suddenly loved football. The hotel had recently undergone a makeover and the smell of fresh paint lingered in the hallways and stairwells, on departure people were preparing for an event therefore a lot of workmen were around with power tools making whatever... Clean well presented hotel with ample parking at £5.00 per 24 hours (pay at reception not at the machine!) We had a room for three and whilst the double bed was comfortable, the sofa bed was horrendously uncomfortable with a large dip near the head area. On the plus side, decent size bathroom, toilet and shower separate from sink area, black out curtains very effective

Hotel is a little disconcerting, as it's an exact mirror image of the Hilton Bromsgrove in which I've stayed a great deal but Hilton Leicester been renovated in all areas and is in that regard very nice. Bar area is nice, (below notwithstanding) and service in the evening and at breakfast was largely excellent. Room spacious and well appointed, pool very good (gym recently refurbished) and per the review title, as a bog-standard out of town Hilton, it's pretty decent. We visited on a night whe... Read more

The room size was good and the appearance of the inside of hotel was nice. Paid for a deluxe room and had no robe or slippers. Requested them waited 3 hours and was handed straight out of the drier with a cleaning rag... Now looking at the pictures our water etc were not displayed nice and lovely in a basket. In fairness I complained before leaving and was reimbursed some of my money.

They don't have free wifi. Honestly, it's 2016 and you don't provide free wifi. Buses these days provide free wifi. The breakfast is alright. The bed is alright. But seriously 15 quid a day for wifi. I just can't justify that. I won't ever stay here again for that reason alone.

Nice hotel a little dated but comfortable and helpful staff and a nice pool. The beautician was fab and excellent at her job. The kids loved the pool although as a single mum to three if I hadn't got my sister with me I couldn't make use of it as it was one adult to every 2 children and not my oldest are swimmers. So if I had gone on my own I would have been very disappointed.

Overall our stay was very good. The staff, with one noteable exception, was exceptionally kind and friendly. Our room was kept quite clean and any requests were handled graciously and in a timely manner. We loved the quality and quantity of items served every morning on the breakfast buffet. Hilton does a wonderful breakfast. There were three negative aspects to our two day stay: 1. Worst bed ever. Too hard on my back! Comforter was too hot as well. 2. Stayed a night for a work conference, the hotel was a little outdated but clean and presentable. The sports facilities were great, being able to relax and unwind. The breakfast was also great with nice scrambled egg, compared to other hotel with runny sloppy scrambled. However, the mattress in the room was very creaky, it felt as though the springs were out of place. I stayed over one night and can say that the hotel was very nice, great and clean room and nice breakfast. Just what you need. Hotel is a bit "cosy". Not my best experience and I travel a lot. The hotel si quite old, not sure but looks it was built is the 70's. Average price per room about 190 Euros/night. On arrival lots of noise due to an indian wedding during entire weekend. Rooms are ok but again old furniture , "ISDN" connection for internet and so on. Wireless which is free all over the world today costs you about 19 Euros/night and parking another 29 Euros/night. This is absurd for a room this expensive. No one charges for Wi-Fi in 201... This hotel is really convenient for the motorways, and getting in and out of Leicester - it's got a full gym as well. The problem I had was the noise in the room - it was room 241, near the pool plant room, and during the night the background hum of the equipment kept me awake. There's nothing you can do about it late at night, I'd advise choosing a room well away from the gym end of the hotel. Otherwise it's a regular roadside Hilton - no frills, just usual Hilton standards.
