Exceptional service. Celebrated our 39th Wedding Anniversary so wanted it to be special. Loved the executive lounge. The menu in the restaurant was varied. Prompt friendly service. Staff were observant and attentive!. Pool and Spa are clean and not over crowded. Although Sunday morning was busier with families, no major problem as it soon cleared. King size bed which was extremely comfortable. Cannot fault the stay.

We stayed for one night at the weekend en route to a visit on the Sunday. The room was nice and the hotel building and surroundings are attractive. There are a number of things to see for football fans in terms of trophies and pictures. We decided to eat and had planned to have a bar meal as we cannot normally manage 3 courses. Unfortunately the bar area was busy and very noisy with many families and young children running around. I appreciate this is not the fault of the hotel but it seems m... Read more

The hotel is situated at the end of a long driveway and is quite imposing and impressive. A quick and efficient check in was made thanks to having checked in online prior to arrival. Unfortunately I had to return to reception as the key needed to be reprogrammed as it wasn't recognised to gain access from the reception area to the bedrooms. So there's good security here controlling access to other than the public areas. My room was situated on the ground floor overlooking the courtyard. It was ... Read more

Excellent business accommodation, good food, great breakfast, lunch and dinner. Good atmosphere, you never know who you may meet. Pool nice, sauna and steam room great. Nice bar and good staff. Nothing was any problem.

The room was very small for Hilton standard. The room was not cleaned in the morning and when we returned from breakfast, we were surprised to find the bed made but everything else was as we left them. We called the House Keeping line and the attendant that came argued with us that she did her work. Pointing the dirty cups and rubish in the bin, she stormed out and only to return and replaced the obvious. Not cleaning and nothing. Also the shower exit pipe was blocked and water drained very slow... Read more

Visited with the wife and son. From the moment we arrived we experienced great hospitality, friendly and accommodating staff from the reception team to the gym reception staff to all the staff in the restaurant. The staff definitely made the stay for us. Food was good and the hotel and room was spotless. If I could give 6 stars I would it was honestly that good. We will be definitely going back soon.

This place will amaze you. In the backwoods not far from Burton upon Trent, you will find this resort style modern hotel that is also the UK National Football training and development center. The entire facility, and it is huge, is very modern, spacious and very interesting. Amazed that they put this kind of full service Hilton on this site, but it works very well. Don't overlook this if you are in the area.

Pretty poor service and pretty poor breakfast for the price and the hype. The make it right promise was not really followed through and I prefer a hotel to try to get it right first time. They have spent too much time and money on the football gimmick and forgotten what is important, providing the simple things (like milk for a cup tea or a decent egg at breakfast) when a customer requests them.

I've just spent two nights in the Hilton and overall it's a nice hotel. I haven't checked out yet so hope that bit runs smoothly . We had a compact room the size of which was ideal for my husband and I. I just want to point out the parts that are lacking as its honestly a good hotel I just don't think it matches a 4 star rating. I'll therefore apologise if it comes across a bit negative, but just take it that if I didn't mention it there were no issues or feedback. The room didn't have a fridg... Read more

This is a must stay at the National Football Centre. We have stayed at the Hilton Hotel on 3 occasions and thoroughly enjoyed each visit. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are spotless and the spa area is a great experience. The walks are very interesting and the facilities are second to none. We are both sports fans and watched our son represent the army in the indoor football pitch. On another occasion we used it as a base to watch Leicester City / that same weekend Crystal Palace were us... Read more
