Overall we were very disappointed by our stay at Castle Park. Although the location was great and the room was spacious and clean we were barely able to sleep due to the noise from both the street and the other guests at the hotel. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything that is going on, we were on the first floor and you could hear every move the people above us made. Furthermore the hotel seems to be supplementing their income by taking emergency housing tenants from the council.... Read more

what a fantastic little hotel right in the city centre. for the budget price I was expecting four walls and a mattress. instead I got a fantastic warm cosy room, with nice decor. was not expecting breakfast but there was a continental that had a great selection of cheeses, meats, cereals, juice, coffee. great staff. it blew away all the other hotels I have stayed in, in Leicester. and there have been a few. definately be returning

I can't compain about anything. Room was big and tidy with nice decor. The staff has been very nice and friendly. Superb continental style breakfast. The most important thing is that hotel has got city centre location- close to the pubs, clubs, restaurants and shops. Great accommodation for the price !! Definitely would like to stay there again.

I spend 4 nights in this hotel in the middle of March this year when I was visiting my brother. Because he and his girlfriend lives in studio flat I thought it will be more comfortable for everyone if I will sleep in the hotel. This place is a great value for the price. In my room there was a huge bed, nice bathroom and flat screen TV. Because we spend a lot of time in the city centre with my brother - mostly in the local pubs and clubs, it was really nice to came back after crazy nights out to... Read more

We stayed here for a wedding in a group of 11, (it's a 5 minute walk from the registry office). The rooms varied in size; the door hit the bed in my room when I went in but 6 of us got ready together comfortably in another! The rooms were very clean. Breakfast was continental style and perfectly acceptable. This hotel is in the very centre of Leicester and is surrounded by nightlife so don't be shocked by some noise. I would definitely stay here again.

I specifically booked a triple room (double and single bed) for myself and my friend attending a local concert, as we do NOT share a bed. This is clearly stated on my booking through booking.com that I have booked a triple room. The polish lady manning the desk showed me and clarified and they had this booked on their system, but on paper somone hand wrote that I had only a double room. The triple room was vacant at this point but would not let me take it. Of course did not got on the FACTS but... Read more

Very good value budget hotel with friendly staff and tasty breakfast. Quiet at night. Facilities may be basic but sufficient. Room was large and free wifi very welcome. I look forward to returning to Leicester at a future date to get to appreciate the history.

Hotel is well located in the city centre and at £55 a night was a bargain. The reception area was very welcoming as was the receptionist. There were a few things that could have been better - eg lock on door was temperamental and a lot of stairs from breakfast room in basement to second floor. Our double room was nicely decorated but very hot. Thoughtfully a fan was provided. We enjoyed the continental breakfast. We thought parking might be a problem but there was a multi-storey on the nea... Read more

We stayed here when we visited Leicester for the Kasabian gig at the King Power Stadium and this hotel was perfect! We stayed in a king sized room for £55 for one night. The room was very spacious with an en suite and the facilities were great - we noticed a travel iron and hairdryer in the wardrobe which are good touches considering how cheap the room was! The location is perfect, close to the train station and the town, managed to fit in some shopping in the big mall just 5-10 mins walk a... Read more

The hotel was OK and much nicer that the doss house door suggests. Staff very nice. But was weirdly unprofessional. When I booked online I got not email confirmation. I did not get a receipt when I left. I wrote and asked for one and did not get one. I needed one for claiming expenses so rang up and asked for one- and did not get one. I have never had this situation before and it makes me think this is a veryt poorly managed hotel and I daresay this lack of basic management would affect oth... Read more

Stayed here for a weekend with my sister to attend a wedding at a venue around the corner. I chose this hotel primarily for the location, and was not disappointed! Walkable to train station, and larger than it appears from the outside. The en-suite room was nice, and relatively small. Walls were a bit thin, but that wasn't a problem. Had everything we needed and was ideal for our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. The (included) continental breakfast was great! Included bread, jams... Read more

This hotel is centrally located to the town centre. Restaurant, cafes and bars all in walking distance. Breakfast fine for the amount you pay per night. Room large only gripe would be toilet flush and holder both broken in 304. All in all would stay here again just make sure your door is fully closed upon entering and exiting it does not have automatic shut. Reception staff very helpful and courteous!

Booked this hotel via Booking.com as we were dropping my step son off at Uni. We paid £55 for a single night B&B. No parking at the hotel but we found a local NCP about half a mile away. The hotel itself is right in the city and there are numerous pubs and restaurants nearby. Our room was on the second floor and was nothing fancy but comfortable considering the price we paid. It had it's own shower which was lovely and warm. Breakfast was continental only with a selection of croissants or bre... Read more

Stayed for two nights, the staff where very polite and helpful, room very clean but somewhat small but it is only the bed you need so no complaints, breakfast was served from 7-30 to 9-30 and was as most small hotels do continental but sufficient. The position of the hotel was about ten minutes walk from the coach station, quite someway from the train station. The city centre is about two minutes walk, also very close to the Richard the Third exhibition and the cathedral where he is interned. On... Read more

When earplugs are provided it is usually for health and safety reasons but in a hotel. ?? First time I have ever experienced anything as bad as this in any hotel I have stayed in. Be warned. Not even the earplugs prepared for the extreme noise until gone 5.00am from very noisy drunks direct outside, taxis beeping their horns all night sometimes in harmony, noisy guests with paper thin rooms and single glazed windows the noise was unbelievable and constant until dawn. Do not plan a decent sl... Read more

We booked here as we were going to the rugby and fancied an Indian meal after and a night out in Leicester. Very friendly staff, although our rooms weren't ready they gave us a key to the front door for later and then put our bags in the rooms for us when they were ready. At £55 for a double it is good value, the room was small, clean and totally adequate for our needs. No parking but there is an NCP 5 minutes walk away which charges £8 for 24 hours at the weekend. Word of warning if you get a... Read more
