Great base to explore this side of Leeds including York and Harrogate etc in this friendly little hotel with excellent hard working staff...perfect! Free parking at the hotel so hassle free! Breakfast was absolutely ample and a great start to the day with hot drink that vends all day-help yourself! Room was perfect and modern to relax in front of the TV. We used the chain restaurants for evening meals utilising the vouchers for the usual Bella Italia etc. BEST OF ALL was D I G G E R L A N ... Read more

I always stay here with work when I'm in the area and I'm always greeted with a friendly welcome and the staff are always smiling. The hotel itself is fairly small but comfortable and well kept and has a small bar with a half decent range of drinks although only lager on tap. The breakfast is a typical Holiday Inn Express affair but is handy and they provide take out bags in case you are in a rush. There is a Toby Carvery next door if you fancy a full English. The free wifi is ok but you won't ... Read more

Stayed here for 2 nights while working in a factory nearby, breakfast was average, just the usual for holiday inn, you get what you pay for. staff were very friendly and welcoming. Room was clean. Would definitely stay again. Having the Toby Carvery next door is perfect for evening meal.

A fairly small hotel, but made great by the very friendly staff who from my experience couldn't do enough to help you. Breakfast was a normal Holiday Inn Express style which is simple and included in the price. Yes the bar here is small, but the hotel is next door to a larger chain pub if that's what you want. All in an excellent stay and worth considers if you are in the area.

My sisters and I decided to spend a night in Leeds, and came upon this Holiday Inn Express. It was really very nice, clean, comfortable, free breakfast, Wi Fi, parking and great staff!!! and not a bad in price either. The staff was so kind and friendly and very informative. The breakfast was hearty and tasty. Would definitely stay here again when in Leeds.

Visited Leeds to see a show and a bit of shopping. Stopped just outside at holiday inn express. Great location, less than 10 mins to town, restaurant next door ideal. Friendly staff, great free breakfast, clean rooms. Beds a little uncomfortable but ok. Plenty of parking, we used restaurant and parked there no problems

For the price, this is a good buy. We have stayed here a number of times over the years but skipped last year as the last time, the mattress was worn out and we kept winding up in the middle of the bed. It seems that they may have changed the mattresses as we had a better sleep quality though the mattress is too soft for our liking. We prefer the harder ones we find on the continent.

A varied group of 5 but it met our requirements well. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable, great having free wifi, and breakfast included. The staff were very helpful and we found it an ideal location for touring around Yorkshire.

Amazing stay, warm welcoming and friendly staff, spacious and exceptionally high standard of cleanliness and comfort. Would definitely return. Thank you to the two platinum blonde ladies who checked us in. Marvellous members of staff and a credit to the company. Highly recommend. X

We are a family of 3. Our room consisted of a double bed and a pull out sofa bed for our teenage daughter. THe sofa bed mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. WIth the sofa bed out there was not a lot of room to move around or put suitcases. BUT it is an express, so one shouldn't expect 5 star. It was very quiet and clean. Staff were really friendly and helpful. And breakfast was adequate.

This hotel is excellent, cheerful staff on the front desk, cosy room facing over the fields at the back of the hotel with minimal noise. WiFi was excellent in my room which made working pretty stress free. Toby pub was over crowded, eat elsewhere if you are able to.

Exceptionally clean and a really comfortable bed. There are lovely helpful staff and I was emailed to ask if I wanted the sofa bed made up in advance which has never happened to me before, usually if needed I have had to do it myself. My only disappointment was that I had trouble finding a cleared breakfast table at 830, when there were very few people actually eating. There is plenty of parking and I felt really surprised that I had been lucky enough to choose such a pleasant place to stay over... Read more

I stayed here for one night only. Hotel is nice and good value for money and quite close to the city center hardly 10 min drive. The room size is small if you have a family of 2 kids and there is not any fan or vent which made our stay very uncomfortable, overall it is an average place to stay.

I stayed at the above Holiday Inn Express in Oulton Leeds last night. My whole experience was excellent from booking the room to receiving a warm welcome from Anne and Daniel on reception. The room was on the first floor at the front of the hotel. It was spacious with a comfortable king sized bed, settee, desk, TV., large shower en suite and tea and coffee making facilities. There was adequate parking places It was very quiet and I slept very well. Breakfast was self service with a wide choi... Read more

Usual style of room but glad shrubs etc have been cut away from windows it was a little daunting on previous visits. Staff here are so helpful, friendly and always with a smile for customers. Not so pleased with the bed constantly rolling into middle made for uncomfortable few nights with disturbed sleep. Breakfast is good small selection but plentiful and everywhere very clean.Next door to Toby carvery so cheap food on hand.

As the title says this was our forth visit here and the last. We booked a family room for 4 nights for 2 adults and 1 child online through the company website but when we got there, there was no bed made up for our Grandson. There was an awful smell coming into the room from to corridor and I think the mattress in our room had been replaced for a long time as it needed to be. The staff though were still friendly and helpful

Stayed here for one night whilst visiting the area. Double room with a sofa bed for 1 child. Beds not the best, although everyone is different. We woke up sore and achy funding there was not a lot of room in them for 2. As it was warm outside it was also boiling during the night, no air con. The most disappointing thing had to be breakfast, the selection was poor, we ended up with sausage, egg and beans. We had a great stay here. The room we had was slightly small for 3 people but it was very worth it. The room was clean and the bathrooms had everything you needed. If you forgot to pack something the staff would give you the things you needed. Breakfast was the best! Variety of foods to choose from. Not too crowded with lots of space. The hotel itself is alright, can't really ask much more for the price but the rooms leave a lot to be desired. The main bed was uncomfortable and the sofa bed was horrific, it was taped together and pretty unsteady. The room seemed clean but the rooms are that small theres not much floor space with the bed and sofa bed. The shower was probably the worst I've ever used in a hotel. Breakfast was pretty good, no bacon though for some reason? Only hot items were egg, sausages and beans but were bein... Read more

Hotel clean enough, rooms fine. Stayed in twin room, bathroom ok, seems fairly new. Room at front of hotel noisy, windows didnt keep noise out, however traffic seemed light nearby. Breakfast was fine, self serve limited type of cereal with toast available, scrambled egg and sausages with some yoghurts, limited fresh fruit and some muffins, with usual tea and coffee. Was fine. Overall ok, next to Beefeater type place, so ok for a stopover.

We had three rooms for one night (8 of us) and they were all set out ready for us. The only small gripe is HIE mattresses which are springy and less firm than the PI's foam. Otherwise all was very good: clean room, helpful staff, good breakfast, good wifi. Helpful folder in the lobby with local fast food restaurants- we tried 1pizza1 and they delivered pizzas which were very good!

I stayed in the Holiday Inn Express Leeds East as a stop over on a business trip. The hotel was easy enough to find but on arrival it was obvious the property could do with a facelift. The car park was dark and full, meaning I had to park in the furthest unlit corner behind the attached toby carvery. The hotel itself smelt quite musty on arrival but I got used to that and the room was adequately clean albeit right by the main road which caused quite a lot of noise. We recently had an overnight stay at this hotel as we were at a party in the area. We booked a family room and found this to be clean and tidy if a little on the small side with the sofa bed in use. They were friendly and welcoming and very helpful in arranging taxis into Leeds town centre. The main negative was definitely the breakfast offering. We recently stayed at The Crow... Read more

Stayed two nights in a twin room. Receptionists were welcoming and friendly. Nothing too much trouble.. Room well designed and spotlessly clean. Breakfast adequate, hot and well cooked. Not great choice, but sufficient. Beds were very bouncy, and a choice of firm and soft pillows should suit everyone.

We stay at this hotel 3 or 4 times a year. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Good bathroom with a good shower, but there are no toilet brushes in any of the bathrooms. Good self-service breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Good room service. Cleaning staff come in and make beds and replenish tea making items every day. Good value for a budget hotel. The previous reviewer was probably expecting a luxury hotel.

Arrived at this hotel for a night in October while visiting friends in Leeds. The hotel don't accommodate dogs so he had a night in the car. The room was ok but at £99 a night it isn't cheap. Regretfully the mattress was woeful giving us both am appalling nights sleep. The shower wasn't the most forceful one I've used but adequate. The most disappointing was the "hearty breakfasts" advertised on the tv etc. So disappointing with measly sausages and NO BACON. This chain must realise that the che... Read more

Stayed one night. Good room, clean & tidy. Very good & friendly staff. Very convenient location (for me at least). Price OK, breakfast looked OK (didn't have time but what I saw was OK and others said it was good). Downside ? The bed, double only and far too soft - like a water bed !!! Again, very impressed with this hotel. Spent 4 days here midweek in November. As usual: room was very clean and in good repair, bed was comfortable, shower was hot, wifi was excellent.
