I stayed here for 3 nights as I was visiting Leeds for work. Upon checking in I found the car park spacious and the reception staff incredibly friendly. The problems arose however when I went to my room. On first glance the room looked clean, slightly dated but spacious. However on a close look I saw that there was a plastic bag over the fire alarm where a previous guest had smoked in the room, a faint smell of smoke which hit you upon walking in, broken heating, curly hairs in the bath and long... I've stayed in this hotel a few times. What I've noticed over the past 10 years is how generic hotels have become and this is one of them. You can predict rubbery eggs, over cooked black pudding, flavourless mushrooms and so on. There is a breakfast menu but not one member of staff has pointed this out - it's just because I have stayed in a lot of hotels that I looked for it in preference to the buffet. Service is variable; two guys who worked together a few mornings were good but another pair o... Read more

A treat over Xmas using living social voucher, actual price £46(wow), we paid £23 for two! I think really £23 is fair??? Nice hotel, usual high standards for this group of hotels. We caught train as we were drinking so not sure if parking is reasonable. ..Outside did not do the well deserved 4?interior justice? Very well presented, spotlessly clean and good ambience. We were directed to second floor restaurant where we were greeted and seated by pleasant polite young lady. She promptly bro... Read more

on arrival lobby looked splendid - yet when arriving in hotel room it was the complete opposite; it was dated and dirty. windows, walls, bathroom area unclean and bedding had a tear in it. My partner and I then complained, yet receptionist facial expressions lead me to believe that they thought we were lying - he only moved us to another room which again was not to our satisfaction as all lights were on and TV when entering and window did not close all night, heating also did not work after hour... Check in for me and the family 2 adults and 2 children was quick as we arrived on New Years Eve at around 18:00 and there was noone waiting to be checked in but it was business like with no personal touch. IHG PC member not recognised and no upgrade. The room was on the 3rd floor and in need of an update as it looked tired it had a very small window overlooking the main road with some street noise, window frames were rusting. The bathroom was small again in need of refreshing and the toilet was ... Read more

Check in fine although no real recognition of Aspire elite and no offer of an upgrade even though the hotel was not full. Allocated an interconnected room which was ok until next door returned to their room at 11 with a two other guests and proceeded to chat and laugh loudly until 2am! The usual offer of a chocolate bar snack was replaced with two mint chocolates, the sort you would have with coffee. The shower dribbled rather than rained and the decor was dated. Not the best CP but ok.

First of all this hotel would definitely need some refurbishment. The room look old and some of the furniture look worn out. There is also lack of instruction on how to operate the air conditioning/heating in the room. Good thing is they have portable heater in the room...at least both the room I've been in. There were some problem with my original room and since they run out of family room, they upgrade me to a suite room. At first it looks great with bigger room, four poster bed and jacuzzi ... The wife and I stayed at this hotel and nothing but compliments to say, we booked an executive room and the room looked just great, very clean and comfortable. All the staff were very polite and nothing was to much trouble. The hotel had a wonderful swimming pool that the wife and I took advantage of. The breakfast was just wonderful, much ,much better then other hotels I could mention. I can only comment on things that I have experienced And the experience the wife and I had at this Hotel w... They will take your money, then cancel your event with a week to go due to their own errors and lack of communication and organisation. And to add insult to injury they will say 7 days for your money back. The ward team of Nurses Doctors and Therapists who have arranged Rotas etc have all been let down. Stay well clear.

I stayed in the hotel for one night in November, expecting a cosy night in watching Strictly Come Dancing and then to enjoy a bubble bath. I discovered the TV was broken and called reception at 7pm, reception said that somebody would be up immediately to fix it. They never showed up. At 8pm after missing my favourite tv show I decided to have a bath. The bath was dirty and had hair in it, as though it had not been cleaned since the last occupant. I once again called reception and this time asked... Read more
