Arrived around 9pm. Easy to find off main A road. No issue with places in the free car park. Pleasant check in although hotel couldn't accommodate room preference, bring full. Recognised as IHG member. First floor Twin bedded room was clean. Choice of pillows. Wifi worked fine and bed was comfortable. Didn't try the health club/gym. The bathroom had shower only and was cramped but with hot water that's good enough for me. Usual hotel breakfast fare in the restaurant. Again, pleasant enoug... Read more

We have used this hotel before and have found it to be fine. Cheap and cheerful, friendly people and a swimming pool which suits us fine. However, this time there seemed to be quite a lot of cut corners. We were promised a decent sized room but you couldn't swing a cat in ours. The sheets were not big enough to tuck into the bed so we got very hot as ended up on the horrible mattress cover. They couldn't provide us with the correct newspaper in the morning and the swimming pool was absolutely pa... Read more

The room was clean and exactly what I expected. What I liked was the fact that if you had forgotten anything from toothbrush to face flannel the hotel would be able to supply one free of charge. The location was very quiet and situated in a good location. The swimming pool was the hottest I have ever swam in. It had also a hot tub and steam room and sauna. I have stayed in Holiday Inns before and have always been satisfied. The choices at breakfast were very good and the staff were helpful... Read more

Back again after a year, stayed with our family. Got a great deal with breakfast from the hotel reservations. Thank you to the very helpful Matyna (Sp?). Not reasonably priced as before, being a last min Sat booking, but slightly cheaper than the website. The hotel is the same, lovely friendly staff, warm pool and jacuzzi, clean rooms. Had dinner in the hotel restaurant, kids eat a 3 course meal free, and the food arrived within a reasonable time. There's a Tesco Extra/B&M a few mins away. The... Read more

I've stayed here many times on business. The staff are generally friendly and efficient and the prices are okay. The location is perfect for access to the A12 and A14 but it's a little way out of town if you want a night out - a taxi is about £8 to the city centre. For this stay the room was, as always, clean with a nice big TV, a comfortable bed and a choice of pillows. The bathroom was very small and awkward though - I had to stand astride the toilet before I was able to shut the door! I ... Read more

Booked 3 rooms at Holiday Inn for our family. One was to be Executive Room for my Daughter and Partner who are due to be married soom. The Hotel over booked the rooms and their room became a standard. They didn't tell us on arrival. we had to complain. After a while the staff agreed to provide a few extras including free movies. The cost of room was charged as standard. I didn't get an apology. Really disappointed considering that 6 nights acomadation was booked for the family.

The hotel was very welcoming clean bright and good atmosphere and very easy check in. The room was good and very clean the only let down was the very small bathroom what it lacked in size was made up by the high standard of cleanliness. Breakfast was very satisfying and the staff were more than helpful as we're the reception staff.

When arriving at Holiday Inn Ipswich the car park was roomy and had ample parking and the exterior of the hotel looked nice and clean which is always a good start. When checking in the receptionist was obviously stressed as the welcome was not warm at all, it was cut short and you could tell she had had enough of the shift. When going to the room it was obviously newly refurbished because it looked clean and welcoming, the only down side to the room was the bathrooms were so small! if you are ... Read more

Stayed here for 3 nights to have a look around the local area. The hotel is in a great location being close to the main routes. The room was clean and tidy and well serviced but the bathroom was tiny, I could stand in the middle and easily touch all four walls. Shower was good though and always hot. Breakfast was good in the restaurant with lots of choices and the kitchen would cook omelettes on request. Didn't eat at night though as food and drink was mega expensive. Restaurant prices for... Stayed here with a large party one Friday night. Seems to be a new hotel with a very big car park on the outskirts of Ipswich. Arrived a bit later than planned but checkin was speedy and receptionist took the time to explain a few things about the hotel. Twin room was a good size, and very clean but the shower room/toilet (no bath in this room) was tiny, though the actual shower was much bigger than usual. This was a pleasant hotel, with a good breakfast. Room was clean and well presented. Large double bed was a bit uncomfortable, as it was two singles zipped together, and both a little flat. Reception staff friendly, as were the bar staff. Very large car park, well placed for easy access.

We didn't stay long enough to write a full review of this hotel, because after a long journey, arriving tired to be met by a pleasant receptionist, albeit her English wasn't good, who had allocated us a room furthest from reception (167) It was a long hike to carry our cases. There was no porterage on offer. Then to discover our room, although only just a double, it had a small uncomfortable looking small double bed. We returned to reception to be told the hotel bed replacement overdue, and they... Read more

My wife and I had a lovely weekend at this hotel. Its in an ideal spot for travelling into the town centre and also convenient for links to other parts of the region.Ample car parking. Reception were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very comfortable and no noise could be heard even though there was a wedding reception on one evening. Really looked forward to a pleasant meal with family, a couple who were staying at this hotel and their parents. Head waitress (Portuguese) and her staff we really great. However very disappointed in the meal overall. Our food took ages to arrive. My partner and I had ordered the char-grilled pork. Vegetable portion size was very small and the pork was so tough we couldn't dent it with a normal knife. We asked for steak knives and even then cutting the pork was like sawing with a dull saw. Recently refurbished rooms, very tidy clean and modern but evidence of corner cutting. Example, bathrooms have been overlooked a little, old bed base still being used (had paint splattered on it) Other than that, cannot fault the place. Good location, great staff and great gym/ pool Would certainly stay again

Stayed Sunday night. Nice hotel and bar and lounge area. Nice friendly staff and food. Room was clean and bed so comfy. Air con was a great relief from the heat. Bathroom really tiny tho, but great shower! Breakfast was ok. Just wish their toaster was set at the right heat! Would stay again if we had a room nearer reception as our room was a very long walk away.

Stayed here on a work visit. A nice greeting on arrival and all the staff are happy and friendly. The hotel has been refurbished and is clean and tidy. The rooms are nice but the beds and bathrooms are small. I could not get into the shower without shutting the bathroom door, also I was given an executive room, but it had no bath. My husband and I stayed here for an overnight stay to attend a wedding locally in Saxmundham. The hospitality manager was pleasant - however some of the staff were not as professional, interrupting him with a trivial question as he was trying to check us out and discuss a loyalist scheme.
