Located near main roads A14 and A141, it allows you to get access to Peterborough, Huntingdon and Cambridge easily. If your business trip requires a location near these places, an overnight stay is ok. The premises have an "american style" with very large rooms and a huge king bed. Gym facility available in the ground floor. Bar for a snack or sandwich is open until until relatively late. Food quality....do not expect much. Breakfast just average. I was given the room 004, right next to the fron... Read more

Great hotel ideally situated for the short business stay. Staff superb, food beautiful and great staff. However, the price of WiFi for 24hrs is quite steep. For a large hotel chain it ought to be free, most hotels in Europe and further are free.....including other Marriott hotels.

Stayed 5 nights whilst on a business trip. Staff could not do enough for us. Food was outstanding, the chef and his/ her team definitely deserve recognition. Rooms always cleaned and madeup to a good standard. Leisure really great and all staff, without exception, efficient and hard working. Thank you.

Stayed here with a friend in a deluxe twin room. The room was very nice and the beds were really comfortable. Tea, coffee and jug in the room as well as an iron and ironing board. Air conditioning works well. Wifi very good. Large onsite parking area. No fridge or mini bar in the room. Dinner and breakfast in the hotel was very nice and reasonably priced. I highly recommend this place and I would definitely stay here again if I should pass through here again one day.

Stayed here because of the lovely photos of the rooms looking so cosy and with a lovely warm ambiance. We didn't get that. Our photo shows no cushions and no bed runner which gives the room that little extra colour that was needed to give it the inviting touch. A smooth crisp duvet cover would have also have given it an unspent in look. I make my bed at home much better than that. The pillows were so soft that my head was almost touching the mattress and as there were no extra pillows of differe... Read more

Clean and spacious rooms with a good level of facilities in the room and hotel. Food in the restaurant and bar ok and average prices and staff all good. My only negative comments would be that a service charge was added without asking and it was very difficult to get a comfortable temperature in the room, my room was always a little on the cold side, despite having the temperature turned right up on the aircon. Finally it's worth mentioning that the hotel is right on the A14/ A141 interchange.... Read more

I was surprised to find such a nice name brand hotel outside of a major metropolitan area. Meet all the requirements. Friendly and helpful staff, reasonable food onsite, bar, and a workout room. Ate the hotel breakfast every morning which was convenient and never crowded. The only drawback was that the location is a bit far to walk into town so plan on having to drive.

We booked via hotels.com, arrived at check in and was initially told the childrens breakfast was not included, as we'd paid for room and breakfast I insisted they check, the check in staff came back to confirm that it was. We then went to our room to discover what was sold as 'Queen bed, 2 singles, sofa bed, separate lounge and city views' was a tiny family room. So tiny the sofa bed touched the main bed. I went to reception to explain the mistake and was told it wasn't there's but hotel.com and... Read more

The Good - it's a Marriott so you know what to expect in terms of bedroom furniture, food, and amenities. The leisure facilities are good and of a high standard. And there's plenty of parking. The Bad - housekeeping is poor. On one occasion I had to physically check the bed had actually been made by housekeeping; it had, atrociously. There was also a lack of replenishing supplies in the bathroom. The friendliness of staff leaves a lot to be desired. Reception is dour and very transactional. The... Read more

Stayed 2-5 June 2016 which unfortunately coincided with a cold snap - colder than Christmas apparently - with a wind chill factor of 7degrees on the first 2 days. The hotel rooms were FREEZING because apparently the heating is turned off End May and not turned on again until October. We had some very frail elderly folk in our tour group so this was not ideal. The hotel was able to supply fan heaters to a few in our party but otherwise could only offer an extra duvet. I have never had to wear a d... Read more

Stayed for the weekend. I've lots of nice things to say about the hotel: staff on the whole were lovely. The pool was great to use and the garden round the back is an oasis, it was just lovely. My room was fine. However the reason I have marked it down was the cost of everything, way overpriced drinks. There was also a funny arrangement where I had to provide my own peppermint tea bags for both breakfast times, despite knowing they had these in upstairs dining room. Staff told me they weren't al... We stayed here for the second time last year just before Christmas (shopping in Cambridge) and the room was lovely as always and we got a great nights sleep. Leisure facilities are great, very relaxing with friendly staff. Restaurant staff were very nice and they had an extensive menu with very nice food. Felt very relaxed during our entire stay. But when leavings I was asked to insert my credit card into the reader although I had already paid. There was an amount of £150.50 on the reader which... Read more

This place is really not trying hard enough. Let's get this out of the way first - paying for wifi at this hotel is a scandal, it is expensive as it stands, and £10 PER DAY to use wi-fi (£15 for 'high broadband') is a disgrace. Other than that, pleasant enough, a bit worn and showing its age but clean, with spacious rooms and very quiet in spite of the motorway next door - I asked for a courtyard room just to be sure. The breakfast is a disappointment, very little choice in comparison to sim... Read more

Arriving around 6pm on a Friday resulted in a frustrating wait at reception to get checked in. There were only a couple of staff working and with other guests querying keys, dining, as well as the peak arrival time they were clearly stretched too far. However, once I finally got to the front of the queue the receptionist was very friendly and had the answers to any questions to hand. There are two lifts to the higher floors which worked fast enough to never need to wait very long. The car park i... Read more

Stayed at this hotel for two nights for a weekend. The beds were comfy and the hotel clean and tidy. Breakfast was also of good quality. But what made the weekend was the staff. Without exception everyone we spoke to was friendly and helpful. From breakfast staff asking how we slept and the receptionist even complimenting my hair colour they are a credit to marriott. All food for the wedding was good and no one waited. They have service down to a slick operation

Stay was comfortable and there is a level of expectation when staying at a Mariott. However the number of charges tainted the experience Car Park - Have to enter registration details to avoid £100 charge - i understand this is to deter non paying clients £50 charge on card per night for potential extras - non negotiable 10% service charge on restaurant bill automatic unless you query £9.99 internet charge for wifi per day unless you are a Mariott member All were dealt with but it felt corpora... Just had a really nice stay at the Marriott Huntingdon hotel, with my young family last weekend. The hotel is situated just off the A1, in a business Park, but next to hinchingbrooke Country Park, which is great for children, with play areas and a forest. There were a few challenges with booking and checking in, but these were sufficiently resolved by Kashnan the Front Desk Mgr. His team Connor and Helen were so lovely and once we had checked in, everything was fine. The hotel has a Leisure ... Read more

Somewhat an eye opener how much they will try to charge a business. How you can justify £10 for a sandwich and crisps is beyond me. Conference facilities were OK, but again you'd be paying Costa coffee prices for 'urn' coffee. Really? Come on guys. Rooms nice and staff helpful. Will look around before next conference for all these little hidden charges.

We recently stayed at the hotel for one night whilst visiting friends. It is ideally situated for a trip to Cambridge. The hotel is modern and well maintained with friendly staff. Our room was very clean although it was a room for disabled visitors so why we were allocated it we are not quite sure! It was very well equipped for disabled visitors with a low bath and sink, loads of support handles and a wide bathroom door wide enough for wheel chairs. Whilst waiting to go out for the night we orde... Read more

We stayed three nights over the July 4th weekend. We were visiting family from the states, the Marriott chain is always my preferred hotel when traveling for either business or pleasure. I guess my expectations are higher for a Marriott branded facility. The elevators and hallways are in need of updating. The room was adequate, the bathroom had been remodeled but the room (outside of the flat screen TV with very limited channel selection) was not. The bed needed to be replaced, it was like ... This is my second review, the last was 2 years ago. I stayed here again after attending the Flying Legends at Duxford. Needless to stay all I wanted was a good room, a shower and a beer and a bite to eat. In that order! Room was well appointed, clean and comfortable. Beer was tasty and not overpriced and the bar menu had a good variation. There was a wedding reception on at the time, the bride looked great, but it was little busy in the bar. And a bit noisy with the guests staggering back to the... Read more

We had a very enjoyable lunch at the bar today. We sat outside in the gardens and it's surprisingly pleasant despite being positioned next to one of the busiest roads. The food was good and the service excellent. Just a high price unfortunately.

Stayed for one night, fantastic welcome and had lovely service from the Staff throughout our stay. The room was spacious with a large bathroom. Both my partner and I slept very well, the only downside to the room is that you have to pay for wifi in the room, with the cost of the room costing over £120, I would expect it to be free. Breakfast was okay but let down with the buffet style serving so the English breakfast was quite cold as it been sitting around for a while. For what is surposed to... Read more
