Got a nice double room with a balcony overlooking the arena. As with all holiday inn hotels the room was clean, with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. Hotel restaurant was good quality at a reasonable price too. Had a decent steak, which was cooked well. Would definitely return.

Nice stay, easy check in, requested a twin room with marina view and got it. Room was large, and clean, bed was comfortable although quite a lot of noise coming from other guests going to bed until 3.00am. Breakfast was enjoyable and checkout swift. An enjoyable stay.

I stayed here on business for one night. It is situated by the marina (the restaurant overlooks it). There is parking at a charge of £5 (if I recall). The room was as you'd expect and the staff were friendly. I opted for the meal package (breakfast and dinner) and the food was fine. The service was good. No issues and no reason not to return here again!

Just spent another good mystery weekend with Gardiners NMC Holidays of Morpeth. As usual plck up , coach , Company staff on board, brilliant. Could not had had a better choice of hotel, Holiday INN in Hull. Brilliant , staff very helpful, rooms good, meals excellent . Evening show in Hull " Gypsy" good. ( this was arranged by Gardiners and was part of the mystery tour). very much to everyone's surprise. Full marks to Adrian and his crew from Gardiners who were on the coach, and kept us all well... Spent a night here and cannot find a single thing to fault, the staff were friendly and helpful the room was great, clean, large and well equipped with a view over the marina. The pool was great and breakfast was lovely especially the pancake machine. The location was also great, it was right on the edge of Hull Old Town and a short walk to the main shops and theatre. Would highly recommend a stay here.

A lovely hotel. Beautiful marina view and balcony. A very spacious room with an overly firm bed plus a bed setee, large bathroom and clean rooms. Free use of basic WiFi, pool, gym etc. A nice breakfast with plenty of choice, well worth the included price. Overall I was very happy with the stay. A little pricey but worth the friendliness and helpfulness of staff.

It was fantastic. The food and service were superb and the DJ in the restaurant area kept the dance floor rocking all night with a great mix of tracks. We had an accessible room but as there was only one relatively narrow window, with a large leafy tree outside, it was dark and the lights didn't help because the bulbs were slow to come to full brightness as they were old style CFL's. However, room was spacious, including a huge walk in wardrobe and plenty of drawer space. Room was great for a wheelchair but for someone with walking and spinal difficulties it was difficult to get over the lowered bath for a shower. Breakfast was varied and the us... Read more

Stayed here for 3 nights. Off to a bad start when no room service until late due to other events on the first night. Breakfast is expensive at £14.95 for what you get - buffet style which for hot food was served tepid. Worst thing about the hotel is the noise. Doors bang loudly, even though on the 3rd floor the noise from the function room was loud and also the rooms don't seem very well insulated from the road noise either. Beds not massively comfortable either

I reckon this is the best hotel in Hull, close to the centre but overlooking the marina. It's clean, in fact exceptionally clean. Jade at reception was very welcoming without being patronising. Breakfast was of a high standard with good poached eggs. Try and get a room facing the marina, that's the best view.

I always find the holiday inn hotels to be good value. This hotel is in an ideal location in the centre of the centre. Parking is free. I was disappointed by the welcome I received at reception. When I explained I am a priority clime member I was offered a biscuit. When I checked out I was offered a bottle of water then advised it would cost a pound. No way to entice me to go back.

Stayed for one night with friends whilst visiting Hull. Hotel is located next to marina in city centre close to restaurants and bars. Staff friendly and upgraded us to executive room without even asking. Room was clean and tidy in not a little tired but did have air con which worked. Friendly and efficient check in meant I was soon in a very pleasant room with views over the marina and towards the sea. The room was spacious, attractively decorated and comfortable. Room was comfortable and staff friendly, although reception was a little slow and muted. Buffet breakfast was adequate but some items were lacking - "crisp" black pudding, dry pastries and solid rubbery fried eggs. The venue is popular at the weekend for weddings. If you are staying on a Friday or Saturday don't expect a quite evening drink in the bar or to get to sleep before midnight. The location does mean there are many other places within walking distance to eat and drink.
