Typical of this chain, with all expected facilities except that I couldn't manage to log on to the free wi fi. Breakfast was ok with only a small choice of cooked items. There was only one person on the book in desk.24 hour parking is at a reduced rate at the car park next door.

Stayed in the hotel for one night on business because if its location at St Stephens shopping centre next to the main railway station. One of the hotel reception entrance is on the 2nd level of the centre's car park. Very convenient and only cost £7 for guests of the hotel for up to 24 hours parking. I was very impressed with the service from the receptionists who were very professional, informative and helpful. I tested them and ask for a late check out which was declined but offered in the ... A budget hotel located close to almost everything in Hull. Friendly staff, nice well presented room, well maintained bathroom and a very reasonable price. Only 1 very small gripe about where tv is situated but that really is a something and nothing. Food is good but drinks are slightly pricey. Great parking facilities. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone.

I spent a few days at the hotel, which is in the heart of the city centre. My 5th floor room was very quiet, even though the road outside is busy. The hotel is a bit tired and in need of a refurbishment. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Lincoln, which is in a far better condition. If you are staying for longer than 2 days, it's a better idea to buy a week's parking in the centre , at £15/week. Staff were excellent and the breakfasts are adequate.

Hotel is reasonable enough and what you'd expect. The hotel is attached to a shopping mall and has several food and bars within short walking distance. Theres also a tescos supermarket located with the mall. Parking is at the mall multistorey carpark, but hotel residents get a subsidized fee of £7 for 24hr parking. The hotel has a bar and an outside balcony where you can smoke. Hot breakfasts start at 6.30am but you can request that cereals, toasts and croissants are made available earli... Read more

Stayed here 1 night as a family during half term. We booked online for a room for 2 adults and 2 children and stated we would need a cot. Upon arrival met by friendly receptionist and was given our room. We had been given a disabled accessible room as they are larger to give us that bit more room due to having travel cot. This was greatly appreciated and the room was a fantastic size and we was able to put the travel cot in the recess part which meant we didn't disturb our daughter once she had ... Read more

I spent one night in this hotel, I enjoyed it as much as I expected to. the beds are comfortable however the lack of plug sockets made it hard to get ready and do work. Although the hot food choices at breakfast were limited, they were tasty along with the rest of the food. Staff could have been slightly more helpful and not spend their time talking to each other whilst a customer was stood waiting. Overall a nice night and very local.

This is sited in a shopping mall in the centre of Hull. It has allotted parking within a multi-storey cark park for which there is an additional charge. When I stopped it was £7.00 per night on top of your room rate. It is CCTV monitored. The rooms are as you would expect from a holiday Inn express. Functional and clean. The hotel as with most Express hotels does not have its own restaurant however in the mall its self are a few restaurants nothing spectacular but a reasonable choice including ... Read more

Stayed here whilst on a buisness trip. Hotel spotless but soulless. An uninviting entrance (off main ring road) becons you to a lift to the 1st floor reception. Interesting response when I enquired the price of my room .... Clean, functional room on 5th floor - all you needed for a short stay. Slept well. Lovely views too. I have been staying here regularly for the last month or so. The rooms are large and airy, with good facilities for the grade of hotel. The on site secure car parking is very reasonably priced for a full 24 hour stay with good access to shops and restaurants a short walk away. People do moan about the holiday inn express breakfast - get over it! It's fine to start the day.

This is easily the best Holiday Inn Express I have ever stayed in - and I stay in lots of IHG venues across Europe. They all have consistent standard of rooms, service and facilities, especially at the "Express" venues - which is great if you and / or your family are unfamiliar with the area and need to start off on the right foot. The differences in these Hotels are all about staff and management, and ths place has the best. The staff are capable, genuinely friendly, helpful, know the local ar... Read more

When booking the hotel stated breakfast was included. Breakfast was by far the worst in any hotel I've stayed at and has been consistently poor over my stays. This is a city centre modern budget hotel, ideally situated with secure parking right ouside reception above the nearby St. Stephens shopping centre. Rooms are small and clean with en suite shower. Bar is overpriced (no surprises there). Check-in was fast and efficient, staff friendly and polite. It's not the Sheraton Grand so don't expect a five star experience. Hotel is well located, modern, clean and staff are exceptionally helpful. Secure parking and 24hr gym (for a small fee) are a bonus. Lots of places to eat nearby. Only drawback is the sound insulation between the rooms and the corridor, which in common with some other HI Express hotels isn't very effective. Bit of a faff to get in and figure out how to reach reception (if you're in a rush like I was - I'm not that dim) & the keycard doesn't work 100% of the time but that's pretty much as a safeguard for the hotel is dead in the middle of town centre with bars and clubs over the road.
