To be honest this hotel isn't worth the money in my opinion. The rooms are tired and need updating, the bathrooms too. I am aware they do a park and fly however I booked to park with the summer special car park. So I was very surprised to find out that you need to pay for parking your car over night whilst staying at the hotel which I don't like. There was no mention of this in my confirmation booking. I have stayed literally across the road with travel lodge and the rooms where more up to date ... Read more

Second time we have stayed in this hotel and it's the second review I have done. I really like this hotel. People complain that it looks dated and whatever else but for a night's stay at reasonable prices so close to Gatwick I really can't complain! We had the executive suite again which was fantastic and checking in through the IHG loyalty scheme, we received complimentary beverages and snacks. Impressive service. The only downside was having to pay £10 overnight parking, which last time I som... Read more

Very convenient to North and South terminals at Gatwick, with a bus every 15 minutes (3 pounds person one way) to the airport. Good restaurant and bar (with wide screen TV), Close to a small river, with country walks. Modern hotel, with new furniture and bathroom fittings. Allows long term car parking at the hotel, for a fee. .

We booked a 1 night stay with 15 nights parking and paid in full on line. When we arrived at the hotel we was told we had to pay £10 to park overnight as the package didn't include the overnight stay, When booking this package there was no mention that I would have to pay an extra £10. As I had booked an overnight stay with 15 days parking why was this not included. We stayed at this hotel the night before we flew to Italy. From the outside it looks quite tired but inside it's very welcoming. Our room was comfy and we had tea, coffee, mars bars and water in the room. There were huge towels in the bathroom and the water was piping hot. We decided to eat in the hotel restaurant which was full, but they fitted us in. We had salt and pepper squid, flat bread and dips then sizzling beef and chicken platters. Clean, basic room to put your head down prior to an early morning flight. Kettle available for making drinks. The parking package worked well and was very good value. The car was not moved from the site. We had no problems and were able to take the Shuttle Bus (£3 for a single journey) to the terminal, which again, worked without a hitch.

The hotel is clean and very welcoming and reception staff providing and excellent service. The location to Gatwick is ideal with a five minute journey time and served by 3 airport transfer buses. The room was clean. tidy and well presented. We were only slightly aware occasionally of aircraft noise. I booked the 15 days parking with the hotel room - this was good value when I compared other hotels in the area. The parking on site was good and very efficient. The rooms is in need of upgrading - the bathroom in particular was looking shabby. Their is a bus to the airport which cots £3 each way and runs every 30 minutes. Take care as we caught the 4am bus and there was not enough room for everyone to get on!

Firstly, no-one is going to stay here for a whole holiday! Its an airport hotel. Either you're arriving into Gatwick or you're leaving. In that context, this is a better than average airport hotel. Its very close to the North & South Terminals with a frequent (paid for) shuttle service that runs almost all night. The rooms are a good size, well equipped and well insulated against the noise of the airport & the busy roads near by. There's a casual restaurant (very nice) or a more formal one. B... Read more

Regular shuttle bus takes you to airport for a nominal return charge. Beds comfortable with choice of pillow quality. Very adequate breakfast. On site secure car parking. Functional stay for a very early flight. Cons: I had to call reception twice, to make the room warmer, it was a freezing day in June (British Summer!), and heating was needed. However, you can't control the room temperature yourself, you have to call reception. Really stupid system, in my opinion. Pros: shuttle bus service to the airport is excellent, and reasonably priced. Also, having a mini Starbucks in the bar area a nice addition, especially for those of us who don't drink.

Easily reached by a Gatwick bus, the hotel is only a few minutes from the airport, so ideally situated for the early morning traveller. It is, however, isolated within the usual airport town planning that seems more designed for cars than humans, so a simple trip to the nearby Tesco's for supplies turned into a hair-raising balancing act along the muddy verge of a busy road. Standard and Executive rooms were clean and comfortable and staff throughout the hotel were in the main courteous and helpful, although in common with other Holiday Inns I??ve stayed in, bar and restaurant staff could be annoyingly over-familiar. I don??t mind a bit of friendly banter, but draw the line at being pawed. Executive rooms come with a fridge (which seems to be permanent... Read more

We arrived at about 9:30 in the evening the hotel was clearly busy, but we easily found a parking space near to reception. One downer is smokers congregating around the main entrance, unpleasant for non-smokers. A queue of 5 or 6 at reception was quickly handled, within a few minutes we had our room key and return details. The rooms are compact particularly, the bathroom but well equipped. We had a double bed, which was fine and a sofa bed, which my daughter found uncomfortable. Considering how... Read more

We will definitely use this hotel again

The shuttle to/ from the airport is convenient and it is only about a 5 minute trip. Hotel is a bit dated but has been renovated. The dinner in the restaurant was very good, with good service. Book breakfast in advance or the buffet is costly bought separately. Overall a good choice near Gatwick.

?????????? Excellent hotel I cannot praise this hotel enough. I was stuck in Gatwick for 24 hours after my flight. The reception staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They made myself and my mum very welcome and we're very helpful with our stay as we had no idea when we would be leaving. They kept our room open for us until 6pm 6 hours after we were meant to check out. Only charging us a small extended stay fee. I highly recommend this hotel for a airport stopove... Read more

We booked this hotel for one night before our holiday as we had an early flight and we wanted to leave our car parked for the week we were away. Upon our return at 9pm in the evening we collected our car and drove home immediately as one does after a long flight. The next morning I noticed my passenger window had been damaged and reported it immediately to the Hotel who promised to have it investigated by theIr insures. All brilliant thus far... HOWEVER after repeated emails over the last 3 mont... Read more

Can never find a fault in this hotel. It's so close to Gatwick with a shuttle bus if needed. Rooms are clean, staff are friendly. We drop off our luggage and then return our car hire to Gatwick and return by shuttle:-) Highly recommend this hotel.

Booked for 1 night room with 1 week parking. Good room with comfy bed, toiletries, flannels and towels. It was nice and quiet, with no disturbance from the airport. Car was dropped at rear of hotel and was moved by the hotel to a parking area adjacent before being moved back ready for collection. The shuttle bus was only £6 each for outward and return journey and only takes 10 minutes. Didn't eat at the hotel so cannot comment on food.

Check in experience was great. The rooms are tired and dated. TV didn't work called reception to report it but no one came to sort it out. Ordered room service - just a sandwich. When it arrived it looked like it had been thrown together. Check out was efficient. Not sure I'd stay there again.

We used the Holiday Inn Gatwick to stay overnight before a flight and to park the car for the duration of our holiday. The Hotel was easy to find and the car parking very convenient with ready spaces available close to the hotel The room was larger than we expected, very clean and comfortable with all the facilities one comes to expect. It was also quiet. Nice bar and restaurant although the food was moderately expensive. Very handy to get into Gatwick for our flight. The buses go all through... Read more

It's ok for a short stay, rooms cold and noisy, breakfast £15 and just ok. Nothing to be happy about really. But if it's a quick room before you fly then I guess it's ok for the money. Parking on site

Booked via the IHG app so got a great price for one night plus 4 nights parking food is mediocre but the staff in the bar and restaurant make up for this. The front of house staff need some what of an attitude adjustment which brings the place down a bit. Rooms are big enough but could prob do with a bit of TLC. No major gripes price wins it for me being at the airport and all.

Not our 1st visit here as we always stay night before flying or night after return flight. Which ever arrives late at night. Always leave the car. Couldn't ask for better service. Never had to give a bad review. Reception are always on hand to help with anything you may need. The rooms are clean and large enough. Breakfast is extra and at £12 each if you book in advance. May seem a little pricey but is definitely worth it. A short shuttle bus to airport. Tickets from reception. Will return agai... Read more

Missed our connecting flight so had to stay overnight in London. Was able to book easy enough from a mobile. Shuttle buses run every 15 mins from airport. Staff very friendly and room nice just what we needed.

My traveling companion booked this hotel as a add on with our travel agent for the night before our flight from gatwick. We were very impressed with how easy it was to get to and from the airport with the hotels shuttle bus. £3 per person each way. When we arrived we were checked in by what must of been the friendliest and most patient staff memeber I've come across! James the assistant reception manager awsnered my endless questions all with a smile and put me at ease. Once we got to our room ... Read more

We stayed at this hotel at the end of August as we had an early flight from Gatwick. We were using it for a weeks parking as well as an overnight stay. The hotel itslef was fine ?? nothing special and very basic but it did the job and gave us a bed for the night ?? we didn??t use any of the services or food offered. The problem started on our return from our holiday. Having discovered our tow bar & spare wheel had been stolen whilst it had been in their care I contacted the hotel to be ... Read more

Booked this hotel with parking before our holiday to Mexico. Checking quick and parking for duration of our trip away was explained. Great shuttle bus service runs every five minutes to north terminal. Room clean comfortable and a good nights sleep before our very long flight was had by myself and husband. We also ate in the restaurant which was good value and very tasty. We shall stay in this hotel again when flying from gatwick.

The hotel is ok for a one night stay, when flying early the next day. Had issues with parking as they seem to park long stay cars around the whole car park. The restaurant isn't up to much, had the stake there it was like old boots. Breakfast is ok but nothing to write home about =.

Stayed here overnight on business. Typical large chain hotel. Served food till late and has a nice bar area. Breakfast was ok. The selling point for this hotel is that an airport bus stops right outside the hotel doors. G1 or G3 - £3 each way.
