Very large hotel with many country type features. I imagine it does plenty of business travel business, retreats, etc. I was visiting w my family and the activity options for 7,9 and 13 yay olds were a bit lacking. The weather was a bit lousy so after exhausting the pool and fishing/clay pigeon shooting/ ropes course// pony experience we were looking for things to do. We did the day trip off site. Dinner at nearby "gastro pubs" which were very good. The hotels "kid club" could use some attentio... Read more

Attended a friends christening reception here. Lovely hotel in a beautiful country location with ample parking and friendly helpful staff, The food on offer was excellent and there was plenty of it. The only downside is the drinks from the bar are very expensive so be prepared for a bit of a shock when it's your round.

We used to come very regularly to the Four Seasons Hampshire when our children were younger. Our children are now teenagers and so we have less opportunity to come. We were invited to a weekend party here by friends celebrating a special birthday. On arrival I could see that the place is not what it used to be. The service, whilst friendly, is not up to speed and the management are not as personable as in the past. The rooms have not changed in 12 years and the fabric of the place, whilst still ... Stunning hotel in beautiful scenery. The rooms are classic and beautiful, the food is great in all of the restaurants and the spa is good too. Only negative would be that the spa isn't the biggest... There's one outdoor jacuzzi and one indoor pool and both can be quiet busy. Not the end of the world as there's so much to do around the hotel.

One thing the hotel consistently excels in is the fantastic service, every staff member you interact with is uber friendly, engaged & helpful! The location is great, set in the middle of the lovely Hampshire countryside. Rooms are brilliant & the bedding is one of the most comfortable I have seen in any hotel! No wonder it is available to buy as well! The spa, swimming pool, fitness room are all really good. The hotel also offers a lot of activities.. Overall one of the best luxury hotels out th... The treatments were first class as were the therapists. The lunch was relaxing and delicious. We went to the garden and the staff quickly found us somewhere and lay out cushions and towels for us. Exemplary service, delightful afternoon tea, spacious, well appointed and luxurious guest rooms and a spa to die for! The property even boasts the quintessential black Labrador. What isn't there to love? An amazing property - but very formal ... and for me - lacks personality and charm.

Arranged afternoon tea for my sisters 70th Birthday - overall a very disappointing experience. We were seated on a small table hardly room for us all and consequently the hot teapot placed on the edge of the table was knocked over and tea everywhere including the table cloth. Instead of replacing it we had to sit and have our tea with a wet and stained cloth covered by a napkin! Although the sandwiches were just about sufficient we were never asked if they needed replenishing - something whic... Read more

We all loved the stay. The children tried all sorts of activities they hadn't done before. Such as croquet, horseback riding, hawking.rope courses. The rooms were very comfortable spacious. The service was excellent. Your were always addressed by your name. The staff couldn't do enough for us. We were provided jackets and wellies if the weather dictated. The spa and swimming pool were also appreciated

Lunch with a friend at the Hotel. What a stunning place. I have visited several times over the last few years and it just gets better and better. The staff are so attentive and friendly without asking whether everything is alright constantly. The food was divine - Cornish lamb - the best. We decided to spend a few days in Hampshire to complement our London holiday. From the moment we pulled up to the glorious Georgian mansion to the second we left we enjoyed a beautiful atmosphere coupled with a level of service second to none. My friends and I have just had a wonderful and delicious afternoon tea. Everything was perfect! The two waitress that served us were attentive and could not do enough for us! A couple of us had special dietary needs and these were catered for 'in leaps and bounds'. The reason for the get together was because one of us would soon be having a baby. If you're looking for a countryside break not far from London, this is the ideal hotel. You are warmly greeted as your car pulls up and from then on the staff can't do enough for you. Equestrian centre was a reason we came here and it was brilliant. Well trained horses and exceptional teachers - I would come back just for a riding lesson! Noami was fab ridibg teacher . Spa is also excellent.

We stayed in the Daneshill suite. It was beautiful. The grounds were gorgeous. Our stay here was the highlight of our vacation. Our children loved the playground and exploring the lakes and trails. The pool was great. The service was perfect.

Visited for dinner - food was good, not knock out, and not fine dining - slightly odd menu where you had some good choices, mixed with burgers - which is frankly odd. The setting of the hotel is lovely, but the actual restaurant decoration feels a little like a departure lounge in an airport, functional bland conference chairs and in a rather non-descript corporate setting - the dinning room feels out of place for such a grand country house hotel, and seems to have been overlooked in terms of s... We have stayed at this hotel countless times, it is a break for us for the weekend to relax and recharge. Spa as always completely excellent, I love the new spa bistro, the service in there was outstanding. The pool was so busy - it was a winters day. I do feel the restaurant needs some improving, it needs to be more beautiful and romantic. It is very airport lounge, apart from that - the stay as always perfection. Thank you.

I have been to four season Hampshire on a few occasions both on business and with family. It's one of the few larger hotels where you actually can go and relax without feeling too much you are at just another conference or on your way to the corporate off site. This time I went with my four year old daughter a good friend and his 3.5 year old daughter. We left Hampstead Saturday morning in one of the vintage cars with a very small backseat, two pillows from the sofa in the Living room was our... Read more

Really didn't have a brilliant time here. My other half and I booked a last minute getaway here and booked into a 'garden room' (I think it was called). The room itself had a lovely bathroom but a really tired and old-fashioned bedroom and a had a strong smell of food (possibly fish?). Really not a luxurious room at all and could do with a revamp. The spa itself was beautiful - had a wonderful massage, but the swimming pool area was not at all relaxing - the pool temperature was ridiculously hot... Read more

Totally gorgeous resort. The room was perfect, staff friendly and welcoming and the food delicious. Recently reviewed their menu - so much better, quality, choice and value ( amazing for five star plus). The wellness centre gave use both an opportunity to unwind, along with a bike ride through the grounds. Perfect. Thank you Four Seasons.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. We hired bikes and went cycling in the rain and upon our return our wet clothes and shoes were taken care of. The room was lovely if you don't mind old fashioned charm but we had no complaints. The bed was huge and comfortable. The bathroom the same. The hotel was quite empty when we visited so we didn't feel as though we were one of many in the spa. We thought the food menu was a bit disappointing though and were not that impressed with the food in th... Read more

We spent the weekend of July 22 at the hotel and for the most part had a wonderful time. Unfortunately Friday night in the restuarant was a disaster with diners waiting over 2 hours for meals. It got so bad one of the guests burst into the kitchen to find out what was going on! Staff were not prepared for this and hid from view as no-one seemed to have any idea of what was happening! Oh well...we did get to eat eventually and the meal was great. Staff are great, Sunday lunch is awesome and t... Read more

We stayed at this hotel for one night whilst attending an event in July 2016. The attentive & pleasant service of the staff at this hotel is really rather notable. The staffing team were also very supportive & accommodating of the fact that we were staying with our 14month old, which was greatly appreciated. The room provision for toddlers is also excellent and the staff really do their utmost to welcome 'small' guests. The style of the hotel is fairly traditional and also lends itself to ... Read more

I had very high hopes before arriving.....everything about this place was great, location, amenities, the majority of staff, but when you are in the middle of nowhere, you expect the food to be out of this world and in this calibre of hotel, we were most disappointed and only ate dinner there one night out of the 3 we were there, the food in the nearby village was much better. I ordered an a la carte breakfast on one of the mornings but when it showed up, it looked pitiful and not worthy of the... Read more

I have only positive things to say about my this hotel. This is my third visit and, as always, the food and restaurant service are first class, the accommodation is excellent and the staff are friendly, helpful and very professional. I am never disappointed and look forward, hopefully, to a return visit.

We stayed for 2 nights in adjoining garden rooms. We arrived early on Saturday morning and were given a very warm welcome. Valet parking is complimentary. Our children were greeted by name and invited to chose a toy from their toy box. We took our children to the complimentary childcare in a cottage on the grounds. The staff were lovely and the children had a great time. Whilst the children were being looked after, my husband and I headed for the Spa. It was a well equipped and relaxi... Read more

Bravo. Very thoughtful hotel from the little treats for kids to the attentive service throughout. Particularly impressed with the free food for weaning babies and lots of food options for toddlers. Farmers Market lunch on Sunday's is amazing. Champagne tea a treat in the Library. Heated pool, swim nappies for free, floats and toys and free water. All the shortcomings and annoyances that crop up at most hotels have been removed. Excellent concierge recommendations, Kids playground, beautif... Read more

Pros - A very pretty setting, within a short drive to London, but not as unspoiled as what can be found elsewhere in the UK countryside. - Great places for running around the grounds (along the canal). - Friendly and helpful staff (mostly). - Nice hardware: spacious rooms and elegant decor. Great bathrooms with excellent water pressure. - Very good Asprey toiletries. - Excellent selection of activities for children, from the high wire, to biking, to tennis, to the equestrian center in particula...
