Arrived late on a Friday evening, utterly exhausted. Check in was fast and straightforward and I was up in my single room in no time. Desk staff were very helpful in letting me know my bus options for getting back to Heathrow at 6am the next day. Room was perfectly comfortable, I watched a little TV before shutting the thick curtains and setting an alarm. Can say I slept quite soundly, despite being worried about the noise of the planes flying over. Some guests made phone calls from the corrido... Read more

Stay at the holiday inn Heathrow Ariel overnight because I need to catch early flight from London. The hotel is conveniently located close to terminal 3. The holiday is easily to get to and there are free bus ride from Heathrow to hotel. The rooms are ok. it has pretty standard amenities. Nothing fancy. And there is not gym at hotel If you are flying out of terminal 5 check out the holiday inn at terminal 5

Stayed here in Feb 2016 before an early check in for a flight to NYC. Friendly staff. Quick check in process. They booked us a taxi for the morning. Room was pretty small and probably not ideal if you're going to be spending a lot of time in the room or more than one night but it was OK for what we needed it for. Would use again.

So, since my last review, I have now stayed here a couple more times. The first wasn't so good, and I had a tired room with a few problems. I commented on those by a survey, received an apology, and some points, and thought that was the end of it. When I turned up the second time, several months later, I was delighted to see that there was a personalised letter from the management, noting my previous problems, and confirming they had checked the room for me, and offering a complimentary drink as... Stayed the night here since we had a 16 hour layover. Close to the airport so very convenient for us. We thought there would be FREE continental breakfast, but there was a charge, which we did get. Breakfast wasn't bad, I don't know if it was worth $16-$17 US dollars, but again convenient. Beds were comfy. No pool or gym. Staff was nice. Good stay for an over night layover.

Friendly reception and general service. Our upgraded room looked out directly onto the air conditioning units of the hotel; We did however have a free Mars bar in our room! Like all airport hotels with captive guests the restaurant is overpriced but has a good range of dishes. The food itself was mixed quality, Our shared starter of a measly 8 small salted squid rings and undressed salad was slightly redeemed by a tasty falafel burger and a half rack of ribs as main courses. The hotel was very basic. However, it was also the least expensive hotel in the area. Considering that, the accommodations were adequate. Arriving late at night there were things like pretzels and crisps available in the bar if you needed a little something. Going to hotel the Hopper was a good option. However, returning to the airport, if you have an early flight, you will want to take a cab as the hotel is the first pickup heading to the airport and takes at least one hour to get to Terminal 5... This hotel has had better days. I stayed on the first floor. The carpets and pain on the wall on the hall ways and my room (146) were clearly very worn, My room had all kinds of stains on the carpet- brown stains, red stains, black stains. It also smelled a bit unfresh, like dirty socks in a laundry basket. I would say that this is probably the poorest room I've ever stayed in in my 20+ years of International business travel, and I am not a fussy person by nature, The breakfast buffet was pricey... Oh where to start. Heathrow has so many hotels to choose from, so do yourself a favour and don't pick this one. The whole room was smaller than my en-suite at home, the bed literally touched each of the four paper thin walls and the decor in the hallway has to be seen to be believed. I have stayed in the Holiday Inn Ariel at LHR many times. It's a very good option for travel to/from LHR, especially T1, 2 and 3. All the rooms are comfortable and well furnished. The rooms are quiet and the bed very comfortable, so you are guaranteed a good night's sleep. The basic rooms are a wee bit small, but still quite ok for one night. The Executive rooms are more spacious. Everything functions very well. The staff are very efficient and also friendly, and treated me as a valued customer... Read more

The most gracious and hospitable front desk personnel we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Every request was responded to with a friendly and professional manner. We surprised our relative with a big birthday surprise which was facilitated with the help of Lora. If you have the opportunity to stay at this hotel, ask for Lora she is a great example of what customer service is all about.

The experience was overall superb for the value, the front desk staff was ready and willing to help with maps and suggestions and willing to call taxis. The room was clean and bathroom was stocked but the walls were paper thin so it depends heavily on the noise level of your neighbors and what's happening in the hallways around you as to what quality of sleep you get.

Years back ( in the 60s and 70s ) this was the Ariel Skyline and anyone who was anyone stayed here. Its not quite like that now but its still a really nice hotel. Stayed one night, arrived in Heathrow and on to a business meeting the next day. The building, when new must have been unique. It is circular in style and from an architecture point of view is certainly interesting. Thats about it in terms of anything wow. It is located in a run down, scruffy neighbourhood. If you go walking, as I did to some local shops around the corner, you get a distinct feeling of poverty and social decline in the area. Basically, you don't feel very safe on the streets.... As a regular Holiday Inn stayer, I decided to stay over as I had an early morning flight from Heathrow T5. The room was very small yet comfortable. I had a good night's sleep in a nice bed and awoke refreshed. The only downside was the time taken in the shuttle bus from the hotel to T5. Although the shuttle departs every 30 mins for most of the day, mine was late in arriving and took over half an hour to get to T5. Much better for Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 4.
