Check in was nice and easy. Lady behind the desk was friendly. When we got to the room my daughter of 2 years of age was super excited that she had a "huge" bed all to herself. We were looked after from the moment we walked in to when we left this morning. Breakfast was really good. Pancake machine was a hit with a toddler. Beds are comfy. Nicest holiday inn I have stayed in. Defiantly will be returning :) thank you for an enjoyable stay

Attended the hotel for a week end conference for children with a rare health condition and as you can imagine there was quiet a few families with children there but the staff at the hotel were so helpful nothing was too much trouble.

I stayed here overnight for business for a conference the next day. The hotel room was really nice and comfortable. Spacious with a very comfortable lounge chair. The bed was great too. The shower was really invigorating with different settings. There was a wedding in the same venue although if it wasn‚??t for the confetti you would never have known. The staff were excellent at keeping the different functions separate. The staff were so good at the conference. Drinks and food were delivered, se... Read more

This is a brilliant hotel. it is next to the hospital in Guildford (Royal Surrey), and easy to reach from the A3. As a visitor to the hospital at short notice it was just a short walk away so it was ideal. It took away the stress I could have had having to stay somewhere new and visit a sick relative. The staff were brilliant and catered for my every need, I had a wonderful room, and to me it seemed like a super plush Holiday Inn, I had every comfort I needed and felt completely welcomed and tak... Stayed on business 3 nights - LOVED it there - clean, comfy, staff are the best you'll ever meet - friendly helpful and just all round nice people. £20 3 course meal deal with wine excellent value. Bar prices a bit steep though so I'd take a bottle to your room. Only criticism was pool area a bit jaded but still clean and warm so I used it every day. Food is amazing - too much so for my waistline! Felt like I'd had a holiday even though I was working long hours for 3 days - hope I get to go aga... Read more

Pretty average for the prices they charge. Ants in the bathroom and they said this was because they had just cut the grass and all the ants moved because they didn't like it! We moved rooms but what a silly reason! Breakfast was good but hotel starting to look tired.

We arrived on 2nd June and stayed for three nights. Our welcome was friendly and courteous and this was typical of the great customer service we had during our stay. All of the staff were pleasant and helpful. Our room was clean, quiet and very comfortable. We had a meal in the restaurant on the Thursday evening. I stayed in this hotel with a colleague on a Friday night. I don't often stay in hotels on a Friday and took the decision to book myself into a hotel due to the distance to travel home, I instantly decided I would stay in an IHG hotel due to previous experiences being excellent. It was a Sunday night! For a Holiday Inn, it's more like a Travel Lodge with a swimming pool! It smells of chlorine and the corridors go on for miles. The food was a buffet, which wasn't bad really, good service by staff. But I was down in the bottom at the back of the hotel and the noise for much of the night was enough to keep waking me up. I stayed for one night for a business trip. All staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is very clean and the bedroom was too. The bed was very comfortable however the room is dated and I wouldn't personally pay £250 a night to stay here. Breakfast was a buffet however you can also order omelettes to your liking. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice. Overall a pleasant stay and I would be happy to stay here again. (If it was cheaper or the rooms are updated).

Prepaid for the rooms, so there were no surprises as such with the prices. That said, however, I was concerned to see the prices displayed on the wall. Yes, the hotel is fairly close to London - but for what you get, it was, for me, very overpriced. The initial connotations are very good: there is lots of car parking; grounds are spacious and inoffensive; the decorative and furnishings around the reception are nice. Stayed here during October half term with our daughter to visit our son who is a student at Surrey university. The location is perfect for the university as it backs on to the sports grounds and is a 2minute drive to campus. We stayed here Friday and Saturday night and were delighted with the cleanliness of the hotel, the size of the room which had a double bed with a double sofa bed and still had plenty of room to walk around and also the facilities. Guildford is a short drive away and is a lov... Read more

Plenty of parking, good choice of food dishes & snacks in restaurant or lounge bar. Be aware there are TV's playing in bar area but with little or no volume. Added advantage is they accept Tastecard with 50% off food for up to 6 people Mob-Fri if you book ahead. Staff friendly but a bit scarce on occasion. Food nicely presented & tasty, would be a little on costly side without discount. Previously stayed in hotel, rooms very good clean & modern with comfortable beds & choice of pillows. Has a go... We've just returned from a night at Holiday Inn Guildford where we met up with some friends we hadn't seen for years. Olga the receptionist was very helpful accommodating our requests regarding our rooms and Simon (the Restaurant Manager?) was delightful and attentive and went the extra mile to ensure both our dinner and breakfast were relaxed and enjoyable. We were very impressed with the food too. Great gym equipment (didn't get time to swim). So, overall, a big thank you to everyone at the ho... Read more

We stayed there at the end of October. We were visiting Surrey university with our son. The hotel is nice, clean, modern, spacious and very confortable. Location is very convenient for university visits. Close to university sports centre. Not far from the city centre. We definitely will visit it again.

Stayed here last night on a trip to Guildford. It was lovely. Nice and clean, good breakfast, showers were nice and hot. Can't complain about anything really. No reason I wouldn't go back there again.

Stayed for one night for business and arrived late after 2200. The room was the standard type of double room and more than adequate. Breakfast was good and provided a large choice. Check-in/Check-out easy and although location if arriving by train required a £10 taxi each way, location for main roads far more convenient. Would probably stay more central if in Guildford again.

Really positive experience when bringing my daughter for her interview at Surrey uni ( all the way from Leeds ) would prefer more coffee / tea / milk in the room so we don't have to ask for more just for a second cup . Only 1 bathrobe and pair of slippers even though room was booked for 2 and dining was made slightly awkward by the lack of consensus by staff regarding the fixed menu allowance but no hesitation in saying I'd use holiday inn again esp as the staff were all very friendly !
