I had a 30 minute back massage yesterday morning whilst visiting the spa with a hen party and have had crippling neck/ upper back pain since. Initially, the masseuse started without any oil and was working on dry skin - which was painful in any case and then continued to focus solely on my upper back. I'd highlighted on my consultation form that I needed focus on my lower back. The massage in general didn't feel as up to scratch as I've had at other spas and I'm wondering whether I had a traine... The hotel is very modern and clean, the rooms were nice, especially the bathroom. In terms of food, I had a room service seafood pizza one evening from a menu containing a healthy number and variety of dishes. The pizza was very tasty and good value. The breakfast buffet in the morning was also very good- I requested a fried egg to be cooked with my full English; they brought me two very quickly. The only potential area for improvement would be the service: all the staff I encountered were p... Read more

I must say that Guilford is a great looking town, although my night has been marred by a barman that charged me £8.90 for one of the world's worst Irish Coffee. When I mentioned this to reception, they had no answer to this and said its the price they charge! I am appalled that one they can charge this amount in the first place and two, if you are going to charge it, make sure it's worth the money!!

Hotel is very modern - stayed in a room on 2nd floor which was ideal. Bed very comfortable and room was clean and tidy. Service was excellent and staff very polite and helpful. Parked in hotel car park - charge is £12 per night but we were aware of this before we booked. Not a lot of choice in respect of evening meal but put this down to the fact that the hotel has only recently been taken over and the restaurant and bar are being extended/refurbished. However, there was plenty to choos... Read more

Visited on a overnight stay. Room was modern but I did feel that the cleaning could be better. Things were missed and cleanliness could have been improved within the room. Staff were polite and friendly at both check in and check out. Breakfast was tasty and used quality items. Overall would rate as a good experience. Tip don't use the hotel car park. If overnighting the rate after 6.00 pm till 8:00 am is £1.00 opposed to £12 in the adjacent car park behind the hotel.

Stayed here for only 1 night but found the hotel lovely . Was very modern , clean and staff friendly and welcoming. If you have a car and there are no pay and display spaces outside the hotel as they are very limited, you can park in the car park behind the hotel which the hotel has reserved 2 floors for. It costs £12 for 24 hours which I have noticed that people have complained about but im assuming the hotel has to pay overheads for, hence the price. Do make sure you check in first in order to... This place is under construction at the moment, something that wasn't mentioned to us when we booked. It appeared that works only going ahead in the day. Room was pleasant, well appointed and clean (ish, kept finding hair grips on the floor - not ideal with a toddler). We are incredibly busy people so rarely would have had the time to complete a review like this, however, we felt it was in order for the new Harbour Hotel in Guildford. I have just enjoyed two days in your hotel. I have to say the the service was absolutely stunning, comparing favorably with top hotels like the Ritz. No task was too much for your staff - they were superb. Also, all of your staff are characters and have "personalities" - it makes a difference. What a significant change in ... Read more

We have stayed here before when it was the Radisson but it was the first time since the hotel had changed its name and we were not impressed. Checking in was a long wait with only one person at reception, and worse of all the fire alarm went off at 4am. It was the most god awful loud noise that went off for at least 10 minutes. Arrived Friday night staying in 309. No reception as hotel is a complete building site with no warning. Where do I start: Teenagers texting and on their phones running the bar. Service 0/10 Informed we could order food by reception told by the bar no food. No beer on tap. It was all "out" Didn't take European maestro card Bit of a sham of a hotel and as a frequent traveller it's evident that this establishment is going one way. Good luck to them. Won't be back. We weren't informed that the hotel is clearly having a massive revamp which was a bit inconvenient at times, having had to stop the floor tiler to get to the toilet and whilst having a quiet drink before dinner had to watch a load of students washing and polishing loads of glasses. However, before we even had time to feel disappointment they offered today as complimentary (use of spa, mud treatment and lunch) AND rebooked our original itinerary, again completely complimentary!! Stayed at Guildford Harbour Hotel recently for a weekend. The hotel is located in the heart of Guildford, great either if you want just to do shopping and enjoy the tranquillity at Guildford Castle or if you want to explore the Surrey. The staff is really friendly, the hotel has a Spa and gym. I would really recommend to book a breakfast included rate since the buffet offer a wide selection of hot and cold food options. Service was very poor, we waited over half an hour for the tea to arrive, and we were not able to understand the waitress as her English was not good and she mumbled. The savoury offerings for two were half a mini bagel each filled with a slither of smoked salmon, one piece of French bread with egg mayonnaise and a small roll. When we asked for some more savoury items we waited over half a hour for them even though two waiters told us '2 minutes'. The scones were hard and the cakes, well what... Read more

A very nice hotel, designed with a unique modern taste, nice ambience and all this combined with a great location, very close to the town centre. The room was on the third floor, spacious and elegant. Very comfortable bed. The bad thing was that the bathroom had not been cleaned up well, you could notice hairs in the bathtub. I mentioned that to the reception, they said that they would send someone up but no-one came. The wi-fi was excellent. One last downside was that they charge hotel guests 1... Read more

We stayed here for one night and the room was great, the breakfast was good, the service was good and all the staff are very attentive. If I had one tiny tiny criticism it was when we were having a quick drink at the bar, we got charged a service charge and I prefer to leave a tip if the service is good as opposed to be charged upfront. Definitely be back!!

stayed for a couple of nights as a little treat and i have to say this hotel is fantastic. the staff were friendly and were very helpful. the hotel is up the hill out of the town center (i just had a knee op and was comfortable walking with crutches from the town). the only thing that wasn't to standard was that there was a lot of work going on, eg when i was enjoying the pool and quiet area there was a lot of power tools being used! however still fantastic. they have an amazing set of waiting s... The Harbour is a good quality hotel in central Guildford. This could be a challenge to find without a sat nav due to the one way system in the town and the narrow road you turn down to get there. There is adequate parking at the hotel, but beware this is charged as an extra. I visited as part of a conference and given the number of people being catered for the food was very good. The bedrooms were well equipped, if a little small for a hotel of this standard. I found the breakout rooms too ... Read more
