Waited over an hour for our food and when it eventually arrived it was tepid and tough. The manager didn't have the decency to return with an explanation when he was asked about the lack of food on our table.

We booked into this restaurant for breakfast as we had things to do in Kilsyth, on booking the lady in reception was very helpful and informative, she made our booking and immediately emailed me our reservation. On arrival we were shown to our table and the waitress was very knowledgable on the menu and took our order whilst arrived shortly after and looked amazing, breakfast is highly recommended, staff very polite and helpful, we would definitely return

I stayed in the hotel which is a throwback from the 70' a few weeks ago. Cleanliness not good and the attitude from management when I complained was ridiculous. The lady's name was Marie and her attitude was cheeky and arrogant. The bar is full of neds and there was a fight which spilled into the car park. The only thing I can say is don't do it!!!

I stayed at this hotel for a family event recently. As you will appreciate the main line hotel chains are few and far between in this area, but this is a worthy alternative. Though the entrance/reception is a bit dark and drab, it was clean and had a family run feel. There was no receptionist on arrival but staff was easily found in the restaurant helping out. I had booked a twin room as I was staying with a family member. The room was clean and provided the facilities you would expect. The b... Read more

Level of service excellent from making booking, to the DJ contacting us about the music choices. Bar staff very nice and friendly. The function suite was really nicely set out. The buffet was pretty standard but well presented, overall a superb night, so a big thanks to all the staff.

So I'm in the coachman, and I'm there early, like 2pm. I'm tired after travelling for 16 hours and the receptionist says, it's normally a 3pm book in, but I will see if your room is ready. 15 mins later I'm in my room. Brilliant. I go to the bar with a mate, young lady behind bar was chatty and very upbeat. My folks and 2 friends come over for dinner and it was just brilliant. Waitress was just brilliant, polite, even a bit of jovial banter. The room is clean, TV en suite, iron board , kettle, c... Read more

Scottish tourism living up to its usual. I pity any foreign visitors seeing the wonderful write up on this awful hotel. View from rooms..?? Where?? First impression of reception is a drab isolated dark room with no one on reception desk....that should have forewarned us. When the manager eventually was asked to come out and attend to us, he had to apologise for the very very slow computer system when trying to find our booking. Definately no wifi in rooms so this should be stated on all website... Read more

Ate in here with a friend recently with a friend. All I'll say us double check before eating/buying etc as to what you are a actually going to be charged for. First time trying here but will certainly never step foot in here again. Awful is an understatement

The only place serving food when we drove through Kilsyth, we were pleasantly surprised by the interior of the restaurant and the menu choices. Service was excellent, the food was hot and delicious. Enjoyed our evening here and would recommend for food.

Stayed here 2 nights July 2016 with a friend! When we arrived no one at reception to greet us so had to go into restaurant to find staff. Once we had found someone she checked us in, very friendly and helpful! However walking up the stairs we were greeted by dirty plates and glasses on the floor, walking down the corridor dirty linen was everywhere all over the floor to the point we couldn't even wheel our cases down it, when we got to our room it was a state it hadn't been cleaned and everythin... Great service, staff couldn't have been more helpful arranging our table for 6 and quickly adjusting when 2 didn't turn up. Food was also very tasty and I will admit I thought twice about going back after my last visit but really glad I was persuaded as I enjoyed my meal very much and was impressed with improvements. I recommend the salmon.

This place is always my Mums goto place for family meals. Was there earlier this month for her 70th and all went very well. All the food was very good and the service was good considering the size of the table (20+)

Spent a night here for a 50th Surprise birthday celebration and it was an enjoyable experience Accommodation - is a little tattered around the edges but very clean and nothing is too much trouble - if you need it just ask for it Drinks - prices were what you would expect in a hotel although my partner was a tad fed up that he had to go through to the main bar from the function room every time he wanted a pint of Stella as it was only McEwan's or something in the function room. G and T prices v... Read more

Alway visit the coachman when I am in Kilsyth. The restaurant is nicely decorated and provides a great background to a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The menu is very varied and the food is extremely tasty. Adding to the feelgood factor is the fast and efficient service from a very courteous and friendly staff. Will continue to visit.

I have stayed here a couple of times but most definitely won't be staying again. If you stay the night in a hotel you expect to get some sleep but the noise from the pub below was awful, the loud music below feels like it is in the room then when its closing time you have the raucous noise of the customers leaving - never again!

We stayed here for 3 nights recently as we were attending friends of ours wedding. Overall it was perfect for what we needed, somewhere to get dressed and rest our heads! We stayed in room 3. It was extremely clean, quiet, wooden floors, iron, ironing board and tea & coffee making facilities were provided, however make sure you bring your hairdryer as they don't supply these! Myself and my partner found the space quite small and the bathroom even smaller. The door is quite hard to close once you... Read more
