Very well positioned to enjoy the sights of Glasgow. Within walking distance of most everywhere I needed to get friendly staff. Rooms need a little attention especially the bathrooms and decor but one of the best showers in any hotel I've used. Will be back again and recommend to friends and work colleges to use.

Decent place, warm room, very quiet compared to other hotels in the area, like the tunnocks decorated place. Good cooked breakfast. Polite helpful staff. Front looks smart and modern, but actual hotel and rooms is a little tired and could do with modernisation. Heating was noisy, but only for 5 minutes as it cooled down. Would stay here again.

The location is fantastic and the small hotel car park is only £7 per day which is amazing for the location. The staff are super friendly and will do anything to help. The hotel has a nice bar area looking out onto a busy shopping street so great for people watching. Unfortunately the hotel rooms are tiny and badly needing a refurb. The beds take up 80% of the room. The hotel can be noisy but I don't think that is their problem considering the terrific location. The hotel is ideal for a lad... Read more

I stay here regularly on business. The conference facilities are good and the staff are magnificent. Sadly the car park is a bit of a dump and small owing to the city centre location. The rooms are ok, but starting to look tired and could probably do with modernisation.

The hotel is very close to Glasgow Central, Queen Street and Argyle Street stations and basically accessible from any of the stations by a max of 10 min walk. The outside is very nice and the staff are helpful and professional. The location of the hotel is good for shopping, the shops are at your door steps the moment you step outside the hotel. The room was kind of small for a double bed but clean and comfortable, you hardly hear noises. Rooms are fit with a safe, bath tub, TV and coffee/Tea. T... Read more

Great location but could do with a little upgrading. Heating was noisy and walls pretty thin. We were on top floor, room was pretty dull and could hear clearly anyone walking along corridor. Clean and tidy though andthe location is excellent, right in the centre and easy to get to anywhere in Glasgow.

Just back from another lunch in this city centre hotel. Surprised how quiet it was. I don't think people realise they do lunches. Really good value for soup and sandwich and the fact they do gluten free bread makes it ideal for anyone with celiac disease. The restaurant is lovely and if you're looking for somewhere relaxing to catch up with friends it's ideal. Staff really are a credit to this hotel.

First time staying in the Mercure and chose this hotel based on location. Not a great start to be put in room 101. The room was tiny and in need of a update. Won't be staying here again and won't be recommending to anyone.

I was not expecting anything fantastic as I already knew it was a three star hotel with small rooms and noisy environment. I stayed here for two weeks as my company had already paid. My room which was on the first floor was horrendous. It was constantly filled with cigarette smoke, heating was erratic and I constantly had to chase the front desk to fix the problem. On a positive note, I found some staff very friendly throughout my stay which made my stay manageable. Tips: Avoid first floor r... Read more

Well placed on city centre with easy access to Queen Street train station. Double room, on 7th floor, small with no drawers. Shower over bath was good. Two lifts, but only one working. And with 7 floors the wait for people on lower floors was substantial at breakfast time.
