Excellent hotel breakfast was a bit disappointing plenty of cereals, rolls, fruit and yogurt. Cooked breakfast is where they failed with a choice of sausage, scrambled eggs and baked beans being the only items available.

We've stayed in many Holiday Inn Express hotels because they represent good value. This hotel has the smallest double room we've ever experienced in one of these budget hotels, two people moving around the room at the same time was a non starter, it could not be done. Clearly built with cost in mind (I know all hotels are), this hotel leads the way in minimalism and is clearly designed for a one night stay for one person. Breakfast was just awful and it seems as if catering for breakfast was an ... Read more

Stayed here recently, reception was extremely helpful. Room was comfortable however had a filthy odour to it. Breakfast wasn't the best as it was cold and the eggs were a funny colour. I have been put off this hotel as I over heard management being nippy and rude towards her staff and was being very patronising and condescending towards them which was overall very unprofessional as I, a guest of this hotel, could hear the way and manor in which she was speaking to her staff. I would not recommen... Read more

Stayed here for 1 night in January. 2nd time of staying. Hotel is well used so is a wee bit tired. Everything works. Cheap and cheerful so can't say too much. Typical Holiday Inn Express with no surprises. Ample car parking. Toby Carvery next door with help yourself section on the main course for the carvery (veg only) decent food at a very reasonable price.

We spent a long weekend here while catching up with family/friends nearby and would definitely recommend it to others. Our room was spotlessly clean and exceptionally quiet even with the windows open at night, well-furnished with TV set, full-length mirror, hair-dryer, tea/coffee equipment and even snacks and Wall's ice-cream dispensers in the lobby, excellent shower with proper soap-dispensers. Bed-linen and towels changed daily. Super breakfast with choice of cereals, fruit & yoghurts, contine... Read more

Thought that I would try a holiday inn express as I'd been staying in premier inns most of the week. The holiday inn express at Strathclyde has the advantage of a Toby Carvery next door if your into that sort of thing. I was given my room by the receptionist ( perhaps she was having a bad day) and after looking over the room it was facing the M8 motorway and because the double glazing windows never fitted properly it was quite noisy. Reception gave me another room on the other wing of the hotel... Read more

Stayed Friday until Sunday. Good place to stay apart from sofa bed very uncomfortable. Breakfast is basic only scrambled egg sausage and beans for hot option. Slow on replenishing items which were empty. Staff friendly enough

We arrived late but looked after well on reception. Good large room with amazing shower - breakfast was good for an express with a continental as standard but with eggs, beans and sausages available like staying in the grown up holiday inn rather than the express :) nice touch thanks

Stayed here recently and my room was filthy. It also had a really weird odour. Not pleasant. And to top things off one of my work friends had lost his key for the hotel near by he was staying in and I offered him to stay in my room other than waking the person he was sharing with. But the "night porter" was incredibly rude and sent him packing when he got to the hotel and said no visitors! I pay for a room and should be able to have a guest if I do so choose. His attitude was completely unaccep... Read more

Good location if your traveling as it's just off the motorway, loads of parking, next to a pub etc, hotel had football on very loud both on arrival at night (which is ok if you like it), but on again at breakfast just as loud which was pretty annoying, room was ok, uncomfortable bed and door handle for bathroom came off both sides (clearly not the first time either), room looked tired and considering its more expensive than a primer inn, was nowhere near as good, breakfast was a bit poor, person...
