Stayed here (Room 552) as one of a group traveling on to Iona. Room was very nice (though the desk was a bit battered) But the room was very warm. The heater was on its lowest setting. Also there was a rumbling noise all night from the ventilation system in the bathroom. Friendly staff. If it had been more than a night I would have asked to move. Proximity to Queens Street station (5ish minute walk) useful

New hotel, next to bus station and close to the Queens Street railway station. In Theaterland, so very convenient for travelers and for walking in the city center area. Breakfast included,. and close to very good restaurants that permit charging meals and drinks back to your room. Close to a stop for the open top City Sightseeing bus.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 days. The USP of this hotel is the location. The hotel is a stone's throw from Buchanan Bus stand from where buses to all over Glasgow are available. City Centre including George's square is also at walking distance. Rooms are spacious and clean. Complimentary breakfast is also good but with less varieties. However, the wifi speed was too less and newspapers are not delivered to your room. Other than these two minor glitches, a very nice and comfortable place to stay

GREAT FRIENDLY,HELPFUL STAFF;Clean room stayed in double room 1st. floor room, really enjoyed the hot breakfast.Bar and snack menu ok! We were tourists so proximity to Buchanan bus station was a plus and we accessed all the places we wanted to see from there. The main shopping Malls were 5 mins. walk,10 mins. walk to Glasgow Central rail station. Lots of theatres on the doorstep, restaurants next door.

We were greeted by a very friendly staff. They gave us an overview of the location and pointed out the places of interests. Fantastic location!!! We arrived to Glagow airport and went straight to Stall 1 for the bus to the city centre, which dropped us off at the end of the line at Buchanan Station, which is literally right next to the hotel. There are tons of restaurants, pubs, clubs, and shopping in the area.

We picked the Holiday Inn for being close to the Central Train Station and to the Bus Station. We were very surprised at how good the hotel turn out to be. Very friendly desk staff, spotless room with good WiFi and reasonable view. The breakfast was not the run of the mill. It included a good selection of bacon, eggs, yogurt, cereals, etc. Far better than we have seen at similar hotels.

Very friendly staff Best breakfast I have had in a Holiday Inn extra and I have stayed in quite a few Housekeeping in rooms could have been better but having said that I think they may have been short staffed. All in all it was a very pleasant stay .

This was the first play we stayed at in Scotland. My wife arrived on an earlier flight than me in the morning and was able to check in early. Great breakfast. Very friendly staff! Also, this is actually a great location right next to the main bus station and in the heart of town (but it wasn't noisy at all). There is a small bar which was a surprise since HIX don't have bars in the USA. We didn't use it. There is also a computer with printing for free right next to the bar.

Last stop on the holiday, they had a room ready for early arrival so we could get about and see Glasgow. Well placed near the train and bus (airport service) and close to the subway. Breakfast was a treat - superior to that which the Express gives in Canada. I had noted a good review for the restaurant next door and they very kindly booked us in and got us a 25% discount. Bonus!

My wife, young daughter and I stayed here for three nights and it was a smooth stay from start to finish. The welcome we got from William in reception is without a doubt the warmest welcome we have ever had at a hotel. All staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent breakfast, spotless rooms and surprisingly quiet hotel for being in the city centre. Will definitely be back.

The staff are great. The room is clean tidy. The bacon and eggs good. The only down side is the TV in the room is small. The weather was hot very hot but the room was cool, and I had a good nights sleep.

My wife and her sister returned from a short trip to Glasgow on 24/06/16 at this hotel. They both agreed that this was an excellent choice of hotel .As not only was it in the centre it was very clean well run and the staff were very friendly .They provided a great breakfast with plenty of choices to please everyone. The hotel is about one minute from the bus station and only 15 minutes from the Airport , buses run every 10 minutes .They would recommend this hotel to anyone and look forward... Read more

Check in was great with 2 very njce gentlemen who took great care of us. Typical H.I. Express in a great location in Glasgow. Car park across the street (turn right after you pass the hotel) with discount rate. Walking distance to Centre and to passport office. Good breakfast too. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you are visiting Glasgow.

Staff welcomed us on our arrival. Check in was quick and easy. Hotel was handy for bus and railway station. Room was almost like a small bedsit and was clean and warm. Breakfast was self serve and included in the price of the room, food was plentiful and as much as you could eat and as much tea and coffee as you could drink. All in all worth every penny.

Very pleasant staff at the front desk. Quit and easy check in. Arrived to our room.It was a little small when comparing with other Holiday Inn hotels. Room was cleaning, beds were comfortable but the room was hot. No air condition, we asked for a fan. We got a very little table fan. It has a coffee pot and coffee and tea for your enjoyment. Hotel is very well located, close to bus and train stations. Even a bus to the airport (1 block). A lot of restaurants and a walking distance from the ... Read more

The main thing that really grabbed me about this place was the staff. They were really friendly and engaging. They also sounded interested in what I said. It was a really nice welcome and staff because of them. The hotel is overall nice, and a good standard from what you expect from the holiday inn express. Nice place but even more super staff. Note that parking is across the street in a multi storey. The place is nice and close to the centre and has restaurants that are next door and quite good... Read more

Currently (prob not when you read this) staying in this hotel. Four night break bang in the centre of Glasgow at a very affordable price. Everything about this is great. A fab welcome from George and his staff, nothing is a problem and the craic on arrival and on passing is brilliant. Room size is great (bigger than some of the rooms in its big sister Holiday Inn that is attached), clean and well maintained. Stayed in a triple room of 3 girls for a night out. Room was a bit tight for 3 adults, cases & getting ready but it was possible. The room was clean although a lot of street noise as at a fairly busy junction - this didn't bother us though. We had to call reception twice & issues resolved straight away. Buffet breakfast was included in price and very of good quality. Good location for shops and public transport. Would definitely stay again.

The location of this hotel is very center. It does not have its own parking lot, so if you have a car, either you find a street parking (which is rather difficult since it's so central in the shopping business area) or you have to park in the public parking lot next to the hotel but costs 22 ponds per day. As a hotel guest, a 50% discount is applied on the parking fee, so 11 ponds per day for the parking. If you don't have a car, this hotel's central location will be very great. Then, something ... Having stayed in the Holiday Inn Express in Stirling we happily chose it for our next destination in Glasgow. The chain is budget but the standards are pretty much the same and good for a night or two. The location is in the next block over from the bus terminal so is a good spot and is near the theatre so would be good for concert attendees. Having said this, it wasn't as good as the Stirling hotel. It is obviously older and not as well appointed. There isn't any air conditioning. Breakf... Read more

Had a great stay. Great location for the city centre and the passport office that I needed to go to. Staff were great. Warm welcome and service from the front desk staff on arrival and check out. Breakfast the next day was great. Just what we needed to start. Ideal hotel if you just need a room, toilet & shower and a bed with breakfast. No fuss and a well maintained clean hotel. There is a nice bar downstairs in the lobby also. We will be back. Well done to the friendly staff.

We stayed in a family room with two children (aged eight and ten). The room was far too small to be set up with a sofa bed as there was no walkway around the bed which meant having to climb over the person you were sleeping with in order to get in or out of bed. This also meant there was very little space to unpack anything. Additionally, it was extremely warm and being in such a small room with a family made this very uncomfortable. The hotel is well placed right in the city centre with many bars shops and restaurants within a few mins walk. The hotel is OK much like any other in the chain. My only gripe is in the bedrooms. When you go to sleep and turn the lights out the light switch shuts off the power to the electric plugs? So when you wake up you find your business phone, iPad and anything else you put on charge overnight is flat. Not good when I rely on my phone so heavily for work.
