Stayed here for a week and I can honestly say it is the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed at. From about 5 every morning you can here lorries being unloaded and big industrial bins being changed. The food is expensive, the portions small and the quality of cooking is poor. Would not stay here again.

This is a modern hotel with large rooms for social group. I was part of one of 2 large groups dining and dancing. The young staff waiting on us worked very hard under a lot of pressure but were quite delightful in their demeanour. The food was quite good considering large numbers were being catered for. The space was an ideal size for dancing.

I would avoid booking here. We got NO sleep. The hotel hosted a wedding below several rooms with extremely loud music until past midnight. Even after several calls issues were not fixed. Was assured management would contact us back but no. Sent 2 emails and still no response. The morning we left the elevator was out of service forcing us to carry our luggage down the stairs. For the cost it is not worth it !

This is a 70's hotel in the West End of Glasgow. It is 3 star as far as facilities go. Its not wonderful, and will not win prizes for its decor or food. But it is good! I paid £62 for a double room, and breakfast was £9.00 each. It has a tasty bar menu, and is relaxed in the bar/dining area. The rooms are attractive and very clean, the showers are hot and powerful, and some of the rooms face a lovely big duck pond which you can stroll around in the evening sun! And the staff were great.... Read more

I would like to start of by saying the reception staff are one of a kind. They were so helpful. The rooms are attractive and very clean, the showers are hot and powerful, and some of the rooms face a lovely big duck pond which you can stroll around in the evening sun! And the staff were great. Really helpful.

This hotel was well-located for my purposes: I flew in from the Glasgow Airport and my friends were driving up from England to set out together for a tour of the Western Highlands. I liked that the hotel is a close walk to Hyndland Rail Station. My plane landed at 12:45 pm. My check-in at the hotel was quick, and after dropping off my suitcase, I caught a train to Queen's Street Station in time to catch a 3:30 bus tour of the city. The next day, I took the train again to visit Loch Lomond and th... Read more

So, my two young boys and I spent three nights here as part of a month-long road trip across England. The staff were quite nice and the room adequate--clean, big enough for the three of us, and it had all the amenities one might need. The hotel is right across from the bus station and it is easy access to the main expressways that will take you to places like Stirling, Bonnackburn, the William Morris Monument, and south to a very good viking museum. We ordered afternoon tea on one of the days, a... Read more

Booked the hotel as it seemed like a nice place and quite well located. We were in Scotland for the Edinburgh marathon and a long weekend, but decided to stay in Glasgow because we had never been there and heard good things about it in recent years. We hired a car because of the trip over to Edinburgh and we were very glad we did. Not only did it make getting into the centre of Glasgow much easier, but it was also handy for visiting other places like Glasgow Cathedral, Pollock Park and the Bur... Read more

The hotel is nice and updated, the manager added complimentary breakfast to our stay which really impressed us, it was a nice buffet with your traditional english breakfast. The bed was really comfortable and the wifi worked good.

My spouse and I stayed here one night with our group of 44 while on a tour of Great Britain. Located out in the suburbs, and beside a small pond with ducks and geese, this modern hotel offers basic rooms--ours featured a king-sized bed, two chairs and a desk. The bathroom sink was very small, and as such, did not provide space for toiletries. Because it was so out-of-the-way, dinner was included for our group. The meal was average at best, definitely nothing to write home about. Breakfast was a... Read more

From the outside this hotel with its drab façade does not look that great, sandwiched as it is between a hospital and a petrol station, but inside it is actually rather nice. We arrived early and had to wait for our room to be ready, which meant I sat in the comfortably furnished and modern reception area for a while. Large screen TV and daily newspapers are provided and the Wi-Fi is excellent. Receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Our room was not large, but was pleasantly furnished with... Read more

Have stayed in this hotel on numerous occasions. Lovely good sized rooms, family rooms a bit less spacious but great bunk bed option for kids. Fab buffet style breakfast.. And ample free parking. Free WiFi.. Which actually works! Well priced, and reception staff always friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended.

Just on way home following two night stay whilst at conference. When i arrived girls on reception could not find my details. Neither seemed concerned just advised me that they were full but really made no attempt to help. Finally resolved issue then keycard would not open hotel door. Again this was sorted by me going to reception but an apology would have been nice. Room spacious and clean. For some reason central heating came on at 545 clanging and banging so loudly it woke me up (do we really ... Read more

Stayed here two nights on business at the University. Is handy for the University which is in walking distance, both campuses are walkable in fact. The hotel looks a bit second hand from the outside and it doesn't improve in. The paintwork is all marked evenin reception. Staff were friendly and helpful but there was a wait because they were reprogramming malfunctioning key cards, this was a recurring theme although mine did work all through. The room had a door locking mechanism that had been go... Read more

Stayed here recently for 2 nights. Arrived late in the evening and couldn't get any food as kitchen had just closed. Building looks a bit dated from the outside but better inside. Rooms were clean, shampoo, soap and shower gel provided. We faced the garage which was noisy in the mornings. Had to keep the window open as it was very hot and stuffy nor was it hot outside, woke several times both nights due to this and so did my husband. Overall ok but can book the crowne plaza for same money and ge... Read more

Good hotel inside, staff were friendly. The housekeeping staff struggled to keep up with the high turnover of rooms and seemed to be working round e clock. With weddings on two of our three night stay were quite noisy outside and the room was so hot we needed to have the window open to get fresh air in. The location was near a pond and also had a handy garage next door with M&S food which allowed us to buy an economical breakfast each day. The hotel is nothing to look at and right next to ... Me and a couple of friends booked a room at this hotel as we were attending our graduation ball that evening and wanted a room to get ready in. I was earlier than my friends and decided I would get ready in the room earlier, however when i arrived at the hotel i was told by the receptionist who was quite frankly rude, that I would need to pay for the room up front before I was allowed to go in the room. Firstly, I have stayed in many hotels in Glasgow and have never been asked to pay for the r... Read more

Stayed here one night for business, adequate room but really poor location walk from station to hotel through hospital grounds, would be really unsafe at night. There wasn't an Iron in the room but one was provided. The room had a tea tray but no fridge Breakfast was good.

We stayed here for my husband's business trip. The hotel location was fantastic. We could walk to shopping and restaurants and also to the train. There is also a great restaurant right next door. The free wifi was great and worked well. The hotel itself was average. Breakfast was satisfactory. The hotel could improve in a few ways - one staff member at breakfast was rude and controlling, our room was a little run down and could use some paint, our room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, ... Stay of 8 nights for a family wedding. Staff were all very friendly, helpful and informative about the area and services. I arrived at 9 am - reception stored my luggage and arranged early check in for me. Lots of amenities in the hotel-restaurant, lounge, etc. A M&S food store nearby for snacks, etc. A lovely pond with lots of nature, walking path and benches by the hotel. Very quiet.
