Stayed here for a week and I can honestly say it is the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed at. From about 5 every morning you can here lorries being unloaded and big industrial bins being changed. The food is expensive, the portions small and the quality of cooking is poor. Would not stay here again.

This is a modern hotel with large rooms for social group. I was part of one of 2 large groups dining and dancing. The young staff waiting on us worked very hard under a lot of pressure but were quite delightful in their demeanour. The food was quite good considering large numbers were being catered for. The space was an ideal size for dancing.

I would avoid booking here. We got NO sleep. The hotel hosted a wedding below several rooms with extremely loud music until past midnight. Even after several calls issues were not fixed. Was assured management would contact us back but no. Sent 2 emails and still no response. The morning we left the elevator was out of service forcing us to carry our luggage down the stairs. For the cost it is not worth it !

This is a 70's hotel in the West End of Glasgow. It is 3 star as far as facilities go. Its not wonderful, and will not win prizes for its decor or food. But it is good! I paid £62 for a double room, and breakfast was £9.00 each. It has a tasty bar menu, and is relaxed in the bar/dining area. The rooms are attractive and very clean, the showers are hot and powerful, and some of the rooms face a lovely big duck pond which you can stroll around in the evening sun! This hotel was well-located for my purposes: I flew in from the Glasgow Airport and my friends were driving up from England to set out together for a tour of the Western Highlands. I liked that the hotel is a close walk to Hyndland Rail Station. My plane landed at 12:45 pm. My check-in at the hotel was quick, and after dropping off my suitcase, I caught a train to Queen's Street Station in time to catch a 3:30 bus tour of the city. The next day, I took the train again to visit Loch Lomond and th... Read more

So, my two young boys and I spent three nights here as part of a month-long road trip across England. The staff were quite nice and the room adequate--clean, big enough for the three of us, and it had all the amenities one might need. The hotel is right across from the bus station and it is easy access to the main expressways that will take you to places like Stirling, Bonnackburn, the William Morris Monument, and south to a very good viking museum. Booked the hotel as it seemed like a nice place and quite well located. We were in Scotland for the Edinburgh marathon and a long weekend, but decided to stay in Glasgow because we had never been there and heard good things about it in recent years. We hired a car because of the trip over to Edinburgh and we were very glad we did. Not only did it make getting into the centre of Glasgow much easier, but it was also handy for visiting other places like Glasgow Cathedral, Pollock Park and the Bur... Read more

My spouse and I stayed here one night with our group of 44 while on a tour of Great Britain. Located out in the suburbs, and beside a small pond with ducks and geese, this modern hotel offers basic rooms--ours featured a king-sized bed, two chairs and a desk. The bathroom sink was very small, and as such, did not provide space for toiletries. Because it was so out-of-the-way, dinner was included for our group. From the outside this hotel with its drab façade does not look that great, sandwiched as it is between a hospital and a petrol station, but inside it is actually rather nice. We arrived early and had to wait for our room to be ready, which meant I sat in the comfortably furnished and modern reception area for a while. The two who had joined me stayed at the hotel the friday night, I personally came and stayed the saturday, this was due to work commitments, I wish now that I had taken an extra 1 and half journey each way than staying here. The girls had said the room was ex... Read more

Have just stayed two different weekends in this hotel and can honestly say its one of the best for the money you pay The staff are all very friendly and welcoming and the rooms are maybe a touch small but the bed is Massive Perfect location if you dont want to pay city centre prices, so its a massive thumbs up from me

Stayed here for wedding anniversary, person on desk was poor and needs more training.Restaurant was good but room in need of an update.I had paid for food in advance and was disappointed to find a bill pushed under our door to say we could not check out early as we had not settled our bill.when we had. Discussed with same reception person who said he had to ask the restaurant manager if we had eaten twice on the same night and only the duty manager seemed to understand how daft this was.Despite ... I stay here a few times a year with work, usually in big groups so the staff tend to favour other hotel guests over us, which is totally fine, our meals are paid for already so we're much less likely to tip and waiting on large groups is never a pleasant experience, that being said they are always friendly and welcoming. The rooms are decent, as people have said the bathrooms are quite small, but the beds are comfy and well presented. The food is nice, breakfast is a self serve buffet, with t... Read more

An otherwise nice stay was spoilt by having three of our bags covered in paint by works ongoing at reception. Tried to contact management at 7pm but apparently no one there. Was told someone would phone and they did not. Had to pjone back.

I'm a regular visitor (monthly) to the Glasgow Pond for business. The location is perfect for me as it's right next to Gartnavel Hospital (3-4 minute walk). The rooms are spacious with a large King size bed, plasma wall-mounted TV, hair dryer etc. The shower is powerful which is always good! The car park is great as I don't have to worry about my car when working the next day. My favourite thing about staying here is probably the breakfast. There's plenty of choice and it's always been tasty.

Friendly competent service from all staff, perfect room, lovely and convenient location - walk round the pond for peaceful relaxation, walk to nearby Botanic Gardens and park. Convenient bus service into town and almost instant taxi service. The only fault was REPEATED malfunction of the CARDS provided to open room door.

As I work in the hospital next door it's handy for an overnight stay for the theatre. This time I had breakfast which I found plentiful, cereal, fruit, cooked breakfast, good variety of hot drinks. The dinner was lovely but I couldn't finish it, quite happy to marry the dinner chef!! Slept very well but woken by the heating at 05:00 rattling the radiator. Fell asleep again quickly & alarm woke me at 07:00.

We went for lunch today. when we arrived we were offered to sit any table and had our drinks ordered quickly. We looked over the menu and decided on a panini with goats cheese and red.onion marmalade for me and my mum had chicken tomato baguette. Good sized portions and a wee salad on the side with some tortilla chips.the panini could have had the cheese melted more.also there was too much purple lettuce in the salad.

Stayed at the Glasgow Pond for a couple of days shopping and to visit family. We had our granddaughter with us so had a room with a double bed and a single. The double was a good size and our granddaughter liked the single bed, so many hotels now make up a sofa bed for children. The hotel is in a good place if you want to shop in Glasgow or visit Loch Lomond. The hotel is right next to a major hospital and the roads get very busy in the mornings and between 16:00 and 18:00. There is a free car p... Read more

I have stayed here a couple of times now when in Glasgow and I love it, I don't even bother looking for another Hotel, The rooms are clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful, I even had a Spanish speaking receptionist the second time i stayed there which was really nice. The restaurant is very good too and there is plenty of parking spaces. When we want to go into town we just get a cab from there. Very nice hotel and reasonable prices too.

Been staying for a 4 nights while working nearby and just got woke out of my sleep with techno/rave style thumping music. Called reception to be told it's normal on weekends as there's a function and it will stop at midnight. The rest of my stay has been good but very Disappointed and cross that I have to accept the noise!! Didn't mention this when I booked otherwise I would not have. Maybe higher floors not effected but my bed is thumping on 2nd floor.

Stayed with a large group of people for a swimming competition at Drumchapel pool and it was very convenient. However, the ability to sleep or not depended on where your bedroom was. Both nights the hotel hosted extremely noisy parties - the first was a wedding, the second a Halloween party and sound-proofing was pretty non-existent. On the first night we were in a room on the second floor facing out over the car park and it felt like we were trying to sleep in the middle of the reception. We we... Read more

ast night in the hotel's kelvin Suite, and was very impressed with the superb service and excellent food, There were a large group of guests to be served but the staff (waiting and kitchen) did a meticuolous job in ensuring all the food was piping hot, and there were no long gaps between courses (both problems that often seem to happen at large dos-but not in the Pond Hotel) to all the staff- well done for making the evening such a great experience

My wife and I booked the hotel to attend a private function. First impressions are fine, there is a free car park and the grounds are tidy. The building does look a bit like a secondary school but then a lot of modern convenience hotels do. No automatic front doors (two sets) didn't help with managing the luggage. Premier Inn and the rest always have automatic doors. The reception staff were good, friendly, helpful and personable, what a pity the other staff were not the same. For example, at b... Read more

We booked 2 nights at this hotel and it was our first time staying here. We had booked this hotel as they are one of the few who offered 3 adults in one room as our grand daughter was joining us for the second night. Check in was good and efficient although no information was given regarding breakfast times (and could not find any info in our room regarding this either). We were informed that there was a birthday party taking place on the second night but that it would be finished by midnight ( ... Read more
