Away on business very nice clean hotel and room better than the usual premier inns. Both evening meal and breakfast were enjoyable. Friendly staff parking on site. Shower pressure very low and no draught Guinness on tap which are my only faults.

The name of the hotel suggests it is quite secluded although it is just off a main road. However the bits of the gardens we saw were lovely, the staff were all delightful and the Lomond Suite was a perfect romantic room for my new husband and I! We ordered room service and it came promptly and each course at a time, it was delicious & rich. Breakfast was good although we were cleared up around which I felt could have waited until we were finished. Altogether it was a nice stay, just 15 minutes f... Read more

Great rooms and great staff. Enjoyed it as much as the first time. The hotel is a lovely old building with huge gardens. Close enough to the city centre to get a taxi for a night out. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. The food was good and so was the wine.

Brought the bells in in the Dalmeny Park and stayed overnight. Lovely dinner and entertainment. Room was average, had everything needed but think their bathrooms especially the showers need a bit of updating. The gardens are stunning, Staff all very nice & helpful.

Booked Christmas dinner here with my partner and mother in law and have to say that following a disappointing meal, this was extremely overpriced! What was hoped to be a nice family Christmas dinner turned into what felt like an office Christmas party, the room was crammed full of people, far too brightly lit and far too loud. The staff gave the obvious impression of being rushed off their feet and stressed by their workload, and the orders were completely rushed. Nothing relaxing about this at ... Read more

We were on a whirl wind trip around Scotland for a wedding. We did not have a chance to appreciate the beauty and quiet solitude of the grounds around the hotel, and, in retrospect felt our stay was wasted. This is definitely a great place to relax around. Our dinners were good. It advertises being close to GLA, it isn't. But if you know your way around, GLA is only twenty minutes away.

Room itself was ok but bathroom poorly desiged in that you couldn't turn the shower on without getting wet and all down the side of the bath was disgusting with mold /mildew. Breakfast was a joke - it was moved into bar area for some reason and tables were so small that by time tea / coffee was served there was no room for any plates. They did move us and we had a separate table each but clearly not thought through. At check out was basically handed receipt no 'how was your stay' or 'everythi... Read more

I booked a room with jacuzzi bath as a treat for my wife's birthday, The building is very nice and the grounds also lovely, Check in was seamless, the room was very nice and the jacuzzi was brilliant, We had dinner in the bistro which was very good, and breakfast was included in the room rate so, we both had the full works with toast & coffee, The staff were all really nice and friendly but can't give them a mention as they never had name badges on, Norma on reception stood out for me, nothi... We have just returned home from an overnight stay as we were attending a wedding. The hotel is beautiful on the outside as well as inside. The room we were in was cosy but very clean which is the main thing. The only negative i would say is the walls are thin and you can hear everything that is going on. The wedding itself was fantasic - from the set up, ceremony, check in, dinner then the evening reception it went without a hitch. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much hassle. Woul...
