The hotel itself is actually really nice! It's a little dated in the communal areas but my room was amazing (including the jacuzzi!). It is in a convenient location for Glasgow (25 mins drive) and is priced very appropriately. The bar food is a little questionable (menu stated side salad and tea/coffee with mints but neither were given or offered) but this might only be a problem should a restaurant within easy walking distance become available. I normally stay here in a mainstream chain... woul... Read more

The grounds are beautiful! Hotel was old but very well kept! room was tidy and of a good size! bed was comfy and the wifi worked at a good speed! We had a jetted tub in our bathroom which we loved, took a while to fill up but once it was full it was worth it! the robes were a nice touch and there was plenty of towels! The breakfast was average, nothing special! We enjoyed our stay

Extremely pleasing to know in this day and age that places like this still exist. Setting is great, gardens are great and the venue for a wedding is superb. Room was spectacular indeed. The staff are attentive without being over bearing and finally the full Scottish breakfast is top draw.

I was here for a period of 2 nights on business while working in Glasgow. Just to start off on the positives this is such a lovely hotel with landscaped grounds, flowers, walks, lots of outdoor space. Its set on the edge of Barrhead close to most Glasgow and the main motorway routes. The room was spacious with a lovely comfy bed and nice views out of the windows. Staff were very nice, breakfast was nice and a lovely evening meal too. Overall I had no complaints, excellent value and would h... Read more

This is one of the friendliest hotels we have ever stayed in. The service is excellent, Set in its own landscaped grounds seven mlies out of Glasgow, it is charming, relaxing anfd excellent value. our room was comfortable and quiet whilst the bar and restaiarnt were great places to unwind. Whilst the hotel could do with some updating, it was a great place to stay with staff swho their best to make you feel welcome.

Again booked at the last minute. We were given the Kintyre suite. Beautiful room with a massive four poster. Bathroom was huge too. Bath big enough for two. No scrimping on this one. Ate in the bar at night and the meal was very nice. Breakfast had a good choice of food. Lovely stay.

We booked this at the last minute and ended up with a lovely room right over the grand entrance. It had red carpet, a four-poster bed, a wing chair, desk and chair, a console and a wardrobe. Lovely enough that we took photos of the room. The bathroom is modern and comfortable. Excellent customer service from the front desk. This place is lovely enough that it is regularly used for weddings. However, it could use a spruce-up with some new fabrics and wallpapers, as some of them are looking worn. ... Read more

Attended a wedding here in July. Beautiful place, great staff, efficient service, drinks not overly expensive and food was nice. Only downfall was the heating was on full blast and couldn't be turned off due to a fault. Everyone was dripping in sweat by the end of the night, was really uncomfortable. Other than that, beautiful place

Attended a family wedding here with the service held in the well kept & manicured garden. All the staff were very attentive to everyone's needs during the day. The food at the reception was excellent. The evening buffet was also very tasty with lots of choice. The only downside to holding any kind of event here is the price of the drinks which are very expensive.

What a beautiful place. Have stayed here a few times and it just gets better and better . We had friends staying from the Phillipines and decided to take them here for dinner. As always. The food, service were first class could have no hesitation in recommending to family and friends .

The staff here were great - very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is more setup for larger wedding events so not your usual plan to overnight for business. The breakfast was good - the usual kind of thing you can expect from many British hotels. Because it is an old building it is looking a bit tired in places, but that's part of the character I think.

We can honestly say that this hotel is deserving of a 5 Star rating. The service levels from all staff is excellent. The hotel is beautifully maintained and the comfort levels are very high. Chocolates, Biscuits and Fruit in the rooms are a very nice addition. Coffee served as need too a very homely touch. This is an immaculately clean hotel and with affordable and fantastic food makes this our only place to stay in Glasgow! Don't miss out on staying in this hidden Gem!

Four of us stayed here at the beginning of our first trip to Scotland. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The rooms were nice and well stocked and cleaned for us each day.The gardens are beautiful around the Inn. The food and staff in the main dining room were excellent each day, and we stayed here for 4 days. The food and drinks were excellent.

We have just returned home from an overnight stay as we were attending a wedding. The hotel is beautiful on the outside as well as inside. The room we were in was cosy but very clean which is the main thing. The only negative i would say is the walls are thin and you can hear everything that is going on. The wedding itself was fantasic - from the set up, ceremony, check in, dinner then the evening reception it went without a hitch. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much hassle. Woul... Room itself was ok but bathroom poorly desiged in that you couldn't turn the shower on without getting wet and all down the side of the bath was disgusting with mold /mildew. Breakfast was a joke - it was moved into bar area for some reason and tables were so small that by time tea / coffee was served there was no room for any plates. They did move us and we had a separate table each but clearly not thought through. At check out was basically handed receipt no 'how was your stay' or 'everythi... Read more
