I stayed here on the 31st of November, for 1 night stay with my sister to see Kenny Rogers, in concert at the SSE Hydro, which is just next to the hotel and is only a short walk. We have stayed in this hotel on a previous occasion so we knew what to expect. We booked for dinner, bed and breakfast basis when we arrived our room was ready and located on the 3rd floor our only problem was it was right next to the door where the lifts are and with everyone coming in and out it was very noisy, the ro... Stayed for one night with my son for the Marvel Universe Live show at the SSE Hydro. Within walking distance of the Armadillo and the Hydro and a plentiful supply of taxis outside if you need to get to the city centre. Room was clean and tidy with the usual home comforts and the staff were friendly as expected. Have stayed here before and would stay again and, for the quality, it was cheaper than the nearby Campanile and Hilton

I'm not usually a fan of a crown plaza hotel - and this was a pleasant surprise. The bar are and restaurant is very modern and sociable. Great drink and food menu. The room are a great size and very modern. Very good value for what you get. The only downside is that that changing rooms at the spa could do with a good clean and a good refurb.

I love the location, next to River Clyde, near to imax cinema and car museum, very friendly and helpful staff, rooms were clean and well decorated, good restaurant and bar with quality meals, I loved the breakfast, will stay again

Wanted a quick bite to eat and drink before a show at the Armadillo. Ordered the diablo pizza and we are yet to find the hot chilli sauce and pulled chicken. The toppings were barely cooked and the base was insipid and pre-made. Not worth £12:95 - a Lidl value pizza would have been tastier.

Great stay, clean tidy rooms, staff very helpful. We had a great Saturday night party and the bar stayed open until 03.30 when we finally give up....?? Sunday was a bit of a disaster as we lost All power in the hotel and the emergency power did not trip, so I was left in the dark in the bath. But hey it turns out the whole of Glasgow lost power.then I couldn't check out of have breakfast because all the computers had crashed..and they couldn't cook or wash plates. But it wasn't there fault... ... Read more

I have not stopped in this hotel for a number of years and was surprised how much the area has changed. The hotel itself, well certainly my room was very good and appeared to have been recently refurbished. It was very clean, warm and comfortable. The hotel bar is also very good and very pleasant for a hotel bar. Breakfast was also very good and I can not fault any member of staff. Only problem is just a little to far from the city centre, but a good price.

we were going to the disney on ice show at the hydro next to the crowne plaza, and popped in for a dinner for four. we were attended by a young bar waiter who attended us for the whole of our meal and his service was outstanding; he was polite, courteous, helpful, competent, efficient, and totally professional, what a great credit to the crowne plaza. the meals we had were quite delicious, i had the scottish fillet of trout salad and the trout was the best i've ever tasted, the salad was...
