Some of the staff at this Hotel need better training on how to deal with customers but after being lied to by the person in charge this isn't going to happen. I had to wait at least 15mins when I arrived while the only staff present was on a personal call. When shown my room I discovered the Tv and Radiator were not working so I had to go down 58 stairs (no lift) to tell someone, who after about 30mins couldn't fix either so I had to move rooms, after settling in I was told I would have to move ... Met with family for an overnight stay. Really nice place, full of character! The staff we seen over the time we spent there were so nice and welcoming, and nothing too much trouble. Callum was our 'barman' on saturday and was an absolute star...so pleasant and kept us entertained with our music requests lol thanks for p... Read more

We stopped off here for a drink as it looked an interesting building . It certainly is. Worth a visit. Very friendly staff and they have a nice dining room upstairs. Not eaten here so I don't know what the food is like. However the dining room is only open on Saturday and Sunday during the quiet months.

Stayed here and found it to be every comfortable, it also has very interesting history. It's also very atmospheric. The view towards the Necropolis from my bedroom was just fabulous. The menu was good for both Dinner & Breakfast, and food was very tasty. Their staff were very welcoming and helpful.
